The house is beautiful, I live in the town it is located. I wondered why it was not being kept up any longer. Hopefully, someone will buy it and restore all the beauty it once had.
This is one of the best video of abandoned house explorations. Slow, thoughtful, appreciative, respectful. Some basic location, house information (year built) would have been nice. Obviously, an educated, cultured person lived here. Perhaps a teacher of professor. Maybe a draftsperson or architect.
So beautiful! And on the NRHP!!! Bonus!!! I hope the people whose home it was found some peace and happiness despite the foreclosure. Financial instability & insurmountable bills can happen to any one of us at any given time. I pray they were able to start over.
I hope they are OK as well. It looks as though they might have taken some things but in a hurry. It's sad that taxes are so ridiculous. People can't afford a place to live.
Man I dont blame you I'd be really nervous in there. Too much valuable stuff in there somebody must be watching it. Nice house though I really like it!
We lived around the corner from this home for 10 years and would drive my almost daily. Interesting, as a "car guy", I never noticed the 911 in the yard. I just did a zillow search of the address. Built in 1887. 3br, 1.5 bath on .53 of an acre (I always thought the pumpkin patch behind him was his property) Last sold in 2002, property taxes just over $8000 annually
Wow. I thought someone must have died suddenly to leave all that, other comment mentions he was killed in a motorcycle accident. Almost looks like somebody still lives there. Beautiful house!

Just went here a few hours ago. What a spot. One of the best if not the best house I’ve been to. Porsche was awesome just smelly. Glad the place hasn’t vandalized yet, keep it out of the wrong hands
It was one of the best places. I didn't want to remove the tarp over the car though but it would have been nice to see it without it. I like places with no damage like this one.
I would give my eye teeth for this house and my bedroom would definitely be the one upstairs with the little “art studio “ area. This would be like a dream come true. Which as we poor people know, never happens.

I guess when someone either dies or doesn't make it back from the hospital and they have no will everything goes through probate and that is a long and complicated process. That house could be left like that for years. It's a real shame.
