You're a man after my own heart Andy. I'm looking at trading my 2019 Africa Twin . Sadly I'm aging faster then my A T and am finding it a bit harder to manage. Thanks to your great review of the NC700 DCT I've decided to go in that direction. It ticks all the boxes in a bike which will allow me to ride on for a few more years ( I've just turned 74).
I understand your situation . I've been bikeless for 18 months due to health and as a result finance issues. I've had huge great11/ 12/1300s for years .. I'm now looking at the burgman650 going by Andys videos amongst others .. It's totally foreign to me but absolutely ticks all the boxes for my condition .. Hope you get the one you like. peace and love brother ✌ 💚
I am in the process to trade in an 2017 NC750X DCT and a 1998 Goldwing for a 2022 Goldwing Tour DCT and will keep the 700X DCT for all around riding. Still I am with you. But the better suspension and brakes make it worth for riding with wife and dog. Looking forward to the spaceship, although I will miss the sound of the 1500 when shuffling around and the refinement of the 750X, although there are newer and better, albeit lower, models out.
Barry I’m sure you’ll like it, I’ve just changed from the Tuono factory to the NC750 X but without DCT. Nothing wrong with the DCT, I had it on my VFR 1200 , it’s just that I like changing gears ! The only downside of the Honda is the lack of thrust at motorway overtakes, but apart from that the comfort in the saddle and actually been able to hear music playing in my helmet is great. I loved the Tuono, but after long rides it was sensually overload..
You and I almost had a falling out. Hearing that the Goldie was to be traded in, well I was truly flabbergasted/gutted/bewildered. Luckily you sorted me out with this magnificent new GoldWing. That 3/3/3 deal would be hard to pass up. Well done Andy.
Interesting to see that your new GW has navigation, as Australian 2022 delivered bikes don’t come with navigation . We have to use ACP or AA and use whatever navigation we are running on our phones. Plus we are not offered and great deals on extended warranties or the likes. Congrats on your new bike, the blue is a great colour.
Wel jel. I sold my 19 plate Wing DCT in 22 and regreted not getting the new one. Couple of months ago i picked up the new NT1100 DCT. It's a ok bike but not a patch on the Wing. Happy riding.
Hi Andy, what a surprise - a good one - love the colour and I’m so pleased Carole doesn’t miss out, initial thoughts were “what about all the trips you are planning”. Dealerships in Australia usually offer a full tank upon pickup, or at the least we insist on it. Usually done by the service department. Having said that, when we picked up the Tiger 900 Rally Pro from the one and only dealership in Adelaide we were promised a full tank of fuel only to find it had a sniff of an oily rag in it, a 40+ and windy day to boot for the ride home 80kms away. Found a servo off the freeway luckily. We soon let them know about it and they gave us a free tank of juice at the 1000km service. May you have lots of memorable trips on your new Gold Wing. Cheers!
Hi Sue greetings from a very wet and windy Scotland, I think I know why Andy's new bike was not fully fuelled, I suspect the salesman didn't know how to open the fuel filler 😁
I found it odd you would get rid of the only bike which brought both you and the Mrs enjoyment. Turns out you made the right choice! Keep enjoying life and sharing it with us.
Well done, you deserve it. Not only are you a 'real biker', you provide me with hours and hours of highly enjoyable viewing. Somewhat strangely perhaps, I feel a degree of emotional investment in the bike!
Exactly like my new bike I got mid March... first one on Vancouver Island. Put 6200Km on it so far. Mexico and back. Not sure if I absolutely love it or hate it. Other than breaking my leg by getting my boot caught under it, the transmission is a bit 'clunky' starting and stooping. I think it is 'gear lag', but need to talk to my dealer about it. It has a 'bump' starting from a stop. Our third GW, my 'one up' said it is the most comfortable bike she has ever been on, other than the wind comes around me and hits her in the chest. Looking forward to hearing what your Ms. thinks about that. The POI on the maps is missing and the right rear signal no longer works. Three year warranty is standard in Canada. Backup 'walking mode' is awesome, but the forward does not make any sense. The colour is very nice, and I do like the trim... except that makes me over cautious about scratches.
Congratulations on your new Wing! I absolutely love my 2018 DCT, non tour! Have logged 124,177 miles so far and this bike keeps getting smoother. I just commented to a friend of mine that the only bike that can replace a Goldwing, is another GoldenWing! Enjoy your vids, ride safe! Beautiful color btw! 😎😁
You’ll love the new top case. I have the 2021 and it easily fits two helmets. I added the drivers backrest from Honda and I wouldn’t buy it again. Not as comfortable as I thought it would be. I added the Homelink function 2 weeks ago and that’s really nice. I followed the Wingstuff video and it was very straightforward. I like the color of your new bike.
Bought the same bike and added the OEM ( Hondaline ) backrest and you're right~ disappointing. The seat is also going to have to be enhanced. Other than that, I named my GW "Undeniable" because it's the undeniable truth in superior & superb motorcycling. 👌
@@JUFFAIR101 I have the red & black model, and I LOVE it. I've only seen this color once on the street. Keeping it clean is not a problem either unlike the black which visibly shows dirt easily and is a pretty common color for motorcycles.
Looks like it could do with a good clean Andy. Congrats on the new toy. Honda is doing great deals to compete in the market, here in France we get a 5-year full warranty with free service.
Do you at least have to pay for the bike? lol 5-year warranty with free labour is crazy good btw, Honda really wants to get that "reliability" moniker back, don't they?
I knew it!, was thinking to myself what could be a replacement for a 19GW? RT maybe, but in the picture didnt look like, maybe a Multi V4 but not as comfortable and more expensive maybe...so to replace a bike like that, only with another GW, for sure. Is a unique bike and probably the most comfortable bike on Earth... "Before Goldwing no Goldwing, After Goldwing no Goldwing" Greetings from Costa Rica
Got to say you had me going for a while there, I thought there's no way you would ever trade that for a new bike. Then I saw the distinctive three exhausts of the new bike. 😳😃👍
Gorgeous. Here in the US that color is called Ultra Blue. Here it’s got a nice silver pin striping along the edge separating the two tone dark and lighter blue. I know this because I took delivery of my 22 DCT DCT Tour airbag July 27. I have the shipping crate covering from Japan on my garage wall. My 3rd Wing since 84. Simply bonkers about the Gold Wing. I’ve enhanced the bike’s visibility even more with an assortment of Gold Strike LED lights, modulating brake light and an F4 20” recurve windscreen. Now it’s go time! Huge Congrats to you Missenden. Cracking good choice. Ride safe and often. ATGATT.
Absolutely love the colour Andy, looks great, I'd guessed that you'd trade for an updated Wing as whenever you spoke about your Wing you could tell you were totally in love with it. Can't see you without a Wing in the garage now 👍 Also glad as it means we'll see more of Carole and your biker mates on tours as well (love those vids). Ride safe, enjoy the new Wing.
If I bought a bike of that value and didn't get a full tank of fuel, I'd be a bit annoyed. My new GS came with a full tank. Lovely bike none the less. Enjoy.
If you check your invoice carefully you should find a line item for the fuel (or maybe not if they now hide it). I have on every new BMW I’ve bought in the last 10 years. It’s not the actual cost - IIRC on my last bike it was £17 + VAT.
@@MV-XD2 Nope! 100% included in the discounted price I paid. You miss the point. Sure, they are covering that cost somewhere, it's business. But just fill the tank so a new owner doesn't have to immediately take it to a garage. Just gives a better experience all round!
@@Defender3d you paid for it somewhere even if it’s no longer a line in your bill. You also paid for delivery from Germany and a few other items that all bike and car manufacturers charge, it’s all about margins and bottom dollar, but take a look at the financial figures for a few UK BMW bike dealers and they’re not doing well. They used to include a full tank on used bikes but most don’t do it any more. I’ve already commented that it was stingy of them to not fill the tank on a new bike but it’s hardly the end of the world is it?
One glance at the exhaust peeking out from under the cover in the preview and I knew you were getting another 'Wing. The larger top box really should have been there from '18 onward. I have a '22 DCT Tour on order in the same color. It really does pop in the sun!
Wow that really surprised me as after the last European tour video of 5 countries I thought you were over large bikes. Really pleased for you though and hope you get to enjoy it with Mrs Flyer.
Well done AGAIN Andy!👏🏼👍🏼 I hope you & the “Missusenden”Flyer have some great trips in the future!🤣 I can’t believe after all the money you paid for it, the tank wasn’t full?! Here in Australia, I’ve never picked up a new bike without a full tank!😱 Yeah probably paid for it with on road costs but nonetheless that seems a tad stingy!
Bought my VTEC VFR from there way back in 2002. Picked up my new Multistrada V2S on Friday, well impressed so far and I’ve moved from a GSA 1250, so much lighter to handle and 4 years warranty standard.
I’m so glad you traded in for a newer Goldwing. I feared that you were going to buy one of those junk Harleys. I’m an Englishman living in the USA, and I really don’t understand why anyone would want to buy a Harley. I ride a Triumph Trophy, and I love it. Congratulations on your new bike. New bike day is the best.
@@wilcisco1159 Status is a funny thing isn't it. Like with most other things status is usually confined to a narrow segment of people who like the same thing; Harley has lots of status among Harley riders, not so much among those who ride adventure bikes, or sports bikes.
@@TheMissendenFlyer You'd lose that bet😉 I've toured on a 2019 Goldwing, and also on a K1600GT and a Road Glide ST (none of which were obviously my first choice, but a number of reasons made them the only available tools for the job). I haven't toured in one, but I've also ridden a Chieftain Dark Horse, an R1250GSA and the new Tiger 1200 Rally Explorer. I think they're all cumbersome things, unpractical at anything under 25mph, when filtering or on spirited riding on twisty B-roads (all of which I eventually do when I'm touring), the gas mileage is pretty poor and they all look a bit silly / orthopedic. Anything over 255kg or 260kg is, in my opinion, pretty much pointless as an exercise on motorcycling. I'd rather tour on something like a 1290 Super Duke GT; if I'm carrying so much stuff that that isn't enough I simply use the car. Again, I'm only 5ft8in (barefoot) and I weigh a pretty svelte 65kgs (naked), so if you're a beast of a man your mileage may vary. Me and my girl are also fit and pain-free, fortunately, so we don't see the point of touring on a couch - again, when the ultimate comfort is the priority we simply take the car.
@@motozest7856 Mate, this comment is extremely well articulated - quite the refreshing change on what is usually a cesspit of idiocy (the YT comment section, I mean). Is English your first language?
Dobles is my local motorcycle dealer. Test rode a Goldwing a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunately the test bike had a front rider support that meant my mrs. Had to spread her legs to sit on the bike, which she was not happy about. I did not gel with the DCT, after two hours in the saddle my hips really ached (I am 6’ tall) lastly I felt the bike was a bit barge like handling at low speed. Sorry to be so negative about your new pride and joy. Looking forward to collecting my new Tiger 1200
Could have lost a fortune if he didn't trade it in. The garage I bought the car off always invites me to trade in before my old car loses all its value from age and milage.
@@jamesweber4938 it's in pounds (uk) I bought a November 2011 ford mondeo in April 2014 for £10,475. New it would have been £31,295. I still have it will be 11 years old November 22nd this year. I wonder how much they gave TMF trade in ? Of maybe he didn't pay cash and just rolled over the PCP and kept the same monthly payment. I had a 500cc bike bought new for £4k after a less than year they offered me £1.6k
@@jamesweber4938 they even tell you when you purchase bring it back and we can sort you out with something else and they will give you a good price trade in. Its all lies. I've got a aprilia sx50 only has 1440 miles on it and it's basically like new. Kept in a garage and just taken out round the block every now and then and MOT every year. I think it's worth £2k (they don't even make them anymore) offered £700 trade in. Also had a Honda xr250r offered £700 trade in but then they said they didn't want it at any price. Ebay £2050. 1996 model .
Taking the loan makes perfect sense, VW offered me something very similar on a used VW Golf, did not need to take out the loan but for all the extras was well worth, a month later paid the loan off, kept all the perks. Also totally get purchase, it's new and addresses clear flaws with the 2019, enjoy the adventures it brings.
I ended up changing my bike this year as well without know I was till my BMW dealer told me the trade in, originally I was just going to get the new K1600 GA but ended up falling in love with the R18 Transcontinental witch so far has blown me away also done the Pecos Spain on her last month. Also my dealer fully fuelled her on delivery and surprised me with the R18 collectors box with book belt decals and more.
Only took me 11 tries with the remote on my 'sumsing' tv to pause to The Small Print v4 screen !! Welldone for strengthening me fingers n wearing out me remote !!! Love your vdos
That's about the only good way out of a 2019 'Wing. You had my stomach churning until I saw the pipes of your new ride peaking out from under the cover. "Thank God!", I said upon the realization of what you had done. I wasn't thrilled with the new blue under indoor lights, but that changed once I saw it outside. What a beauty! Mrs. Flyer should be very pleased, I'm sure. I hope you get many good years of joy out this lovely lovely bike. You and Mrs. Flyer surely deserve it! Good for you! Good job with the reveal! Keep the rubber side down my friend. 👍
I was a bit disappointed when I heard you were trading in the Gold Wing. I Thought how can you top that. Then you provided the answer, buy the latest model, simple. Now I can continue to enjoy your tours on the latest model and continue to listen to the gorgeous engine. Congratulations and enjoy your new bike.
Playing TMF video catch up. I bought the same bike earlier this year after a two year hiatus from motorcycling. My wife and I missed it so much we decided to take the plunge. My bike is red, but unlike you, I was not going to pay the extra $2-3K USD for an Airbag. I see your last Goldwing also had the Airbag; is this mandatory on UK Goldwings, or you just like the option? Unlike you, I don’t find the seat comfortable after about 90 minutes. I had the Wingsoft modification incorporated, but still having butt/pelvic pain. I will remove the seat in a couple of weeks and sending it to Russell Day Long (RDL) in California for a customized rebuild. I will then have spent over $2300 USD trying to get a comfortable seat. Honda engineers really need to work on this issue as I’m not the only one complaining about this seat. Like another commentator, I had the dealer install the Hondaline driver backrest before I took delivery and this too was another waste of money. I removed this a couple of weeks later and installed the Utopia unit. The RDL seat will also have a new driver backrest, so I will then have two backrests for sale😢 I have to admit I am anxious about my new RDL seat, but can’t wait to get it back in mid-January 2024 and hopefully will be able to get some serious miles in comfort.
Sitting here in a b&b in Inverness, on the loo (as you do), watching TH-cam motorcycle videos and regretting not coming up to Scotland on my little Meteor 350. Roads like these ones up here were made for the Goldwing though, and I for one, am convinced a bike like that would change the entire trip experience. So well done Andy! Hope someday in the future I'll have the honour to shake your hand.
Congrats on the new bike Mr & Mrs Flyer! Well done indeed 🥳 I did testdrive the 2022 MY Goldwing Tour DCT, and I think it is an absolutely brilliant machine. The DCT suits the Goldwing in a significant, comfortable and unique way! 👌 Wanting to order a Goldwing for 2023, I have a question you might know the answer to... (My dealer certainly doesn't... I know...🤔) While test riding the 2022 GW DCT recently, all was good. Except for riding on the highway... I noticed an annoying loud sound from the exhaust between approx. 2500-4000rpm. This "drone-sound" appears from say 90kmh (56mph) up to 140kmh (87mph), so exactly our general highway speed. (Above 4000rpm/140kmh the drone-sound disappears again) Reading motorcycle journalist reports on the internet on the MY 2022 Goldwing, I am certainly not the only one with this complaint. I read from a press release from November 2021, that the 2022 model has been given a modified exhaust, because customers wanted a more present exhaust sound. Personally I want my exhaust to be comfortable for long distance driving between 50-90mph. But because the low tones of the drone sound is so prominent on the highway, I find it very tiring for driving long distances. (For example; The BMW K1600 has an addictive exhaust note at lower speeds and in the revs, but at a constant speed on the highway it just shuts up, which in my opinion is the ideal and prefer exhaust setup.) However, as soon as I close the throttle on the 2022 model Goldwing while riding on the highway, an oasis of silence dominates the riding experience, this in strong contrast to the drone sound! (Note: There is no misunderstanding from my side, that this distracting noise is coming from the exhaust setup and nothing else.) I would like to ask you whether you experience the same exhaust drone issue? Comparing your 2019 MY Goldwing to your new 2022 MY Goldwing? In case for instance; your 2019 exhaust was fine, and your 2022 model exhaust is too loud, I could consider replacing my 2022 MY exhaust with the 2019 exhaust setup...!? (Because the outer exhaust shell maintained similar throughout the years since 2018+) Looking forward to your reply, enjoy making those videos and drive safely. Kind regards, Coen
@@TheMissendenFlyer Ok, thank you for your reply. I am renting a 2022 GW Tour this Monday, looking forward to that experience... By the way; 'Hill Start Assist' is active for 3 seconds and is designed for helping the rider out between the moment he or she releases the brake and opens the throttle. Second: The reverse on the Goldwing is very strong, it goes up a slope easily and is even able to drive up the sidewalk. Just hold the reverse button and the Honda does what it's supposed to do. Hope this helps...
Just noticed, paused and read the “Small Print”, great stuff 😂 I found this channel last week after buying my Street Triple and haven’t stopped watching since!!!
I loved the black Goldwing in the second series of Succession. Kendal getting chauffeured around the streets of Manhattan on the back of one. Congrats on your new bike! 😊
Well Andy thats my local dealer, got both my AT adventure sports from them. Honda cracks me up with there 333 deal they make out your geting sooooo much for free when really a bike that costs as much as these should come with 3 years warranty as standard and the 3 years servicing is a lie because it includes the first service at 600 miles so only 2 years! any way nice bike enjoy and ride safe.
Great timing. Last week here in USA Honda discontinued the Gold Wing, a big surprise for me. Now you bought a collectors last year of an Iconic tourer. One of the best bikes of all time. Lucky You Flyer. You have a great collection, how do you ever decide what to ride? Ride safe many many miles. Zen
I know a lot of people think why would you go for the same model again, not me, when you've found a bike you're really happy with why not, I'm taking delivery of my third consecutive street triple next week.
Andy, first of all, congratulations on the beautiful 22. You had me worried for a moment. Remember that one of the reasons I have a tour DCT in my garage is your experience with yours. Happy that you have the new bike can't wait to see it on the road. I'm getting ready to meet my friends and go for a 300 to 400 mi ride this morning here on the west coast of florida. Appreciate everything you do and the person you are. The very best to you and your family, always and again congratulations on the new bike. Happy you did not leave the gold wing family. Greg
Hope you and Mrs Flyer have many happy miles and smiles on the new Wing Andy, looking forward to hearing that awesome engine purring away on future videos😀
you can feel the comfort through the screen , one of my main complaints about new bikes is the seats don,t think think that will be the case on this bike
I almost spat out my coffee when I heard you were giving up your much lauded Gold Wing! I should have realized your cunning plan. It was also new bike week for me, a new blue R1250RS. This is the second bike I've purchased after your glowing reviews (Speed Twin was first), and my favorite so far. Cheers and I like the GW colour actually!
I’ll be honest, I was expecting you to unveil something like a BMW K1600 GTL. Awesome that you are sticking with this superb machine, most people I know change models when they change their bikes; choosing the new model of the same bike again after 3 years is a massive testament to the Gold Wing. I think this bike won a lot of new fans with the 2018 incarnation, image-wise it suddenly went from a stately, ornate, pedestrian-looking old boy’s bike to a more streamlined, purposeful-looking machine appealing to all age groups. But with that price tag, younger fans may have to just drool for a while longer!
Well the Thumbnail made it kind of obvious... but no negativity from me - new bike day is always good and got to say the blue is epic! One thing you might appreciate is the uprated sat nav - has an improved GPS trackers and also is fitted with the Euro New Standard equivalent! Surely worth taking Mrs TMF out to test - as I know the old one (sat nav) left you disappointed!
Congrats! Despite living in the NW, I bought my GoldWing from Doble's. Great service. Look forward to hearing about your new one after a few miles in the sadle.
Wow. Honestly didn’t see that coming. Congrats. You only live once! Astonished that dealerships don’t give you a tank full of fuel when you’ve purchased a new bike. Look forward to more videos.
Wow! That lovely machine REALLY made a mark on both you and Mrs Flyer! I think that you buying another one says more than any number of bike mag columnists listing brochure specs and bleating on about it not cornering like an R1. Honda should have given you this one free in return for the advertising they’re cashing in on. What’s more, they should give me one as well (in red) for the emotional suffering I’m going through because they’re not going to import that gorgeous CB1300SA Bol D’or with the red frame.
I nearly chocked on my breakfast orange juice when your SOLD My Goldwing video notification popped up on my screen, first though was 'crikey' whats he done ? massive relief when I saw you had bought a new one, love the colour and look forward to seeing vlogs on your new toy.
Dude, you had me scared for a couple minutes. Love how it played out. Can't wait to get one for me an the wife to do some touring on. God speed. Can't wait to see some videos on it.
What I like about this video is at exactly 04:50 if you pause the video, over to the left of the frame is Honda's smallest offering I think it's the "cub"? And this bike is probably the largest offering. Kudos to this set up, intentional or not! 👍👍Cheers! Love the Scots!
Taking my misses out for a ride on our 2022 standard transmission for ice cream at a place almost an hour away here in a bit. Love my new Wing, we have had it about 8 weeks now. My wife picked this bike out as well. She was sold as soon as she sat on it and I told her it had heated seats lol. We had the choice of the Gunmetal Black standard or the Blue you got but with airbag which I didn't want. I didn't like the idea of having to put my phone in the truck all the time to use Car Play. Congrats on your new ride :)
@@TheMissendenFlyer Andy that is the same as down under then. I heard they only get the airbag model as well. I wanted to try the DCT but there were only two bikes within a couple thousand miles of me. The one I got and the airbag one. I just missed out on a Gunmetal with DCT and no airbag by a business day. I contacted them when they were closed for the weekend and the sales lady said to call Monday morning. Just as I was about to call Monday she sent me a txt and said she found out another sales person had sold it just before they had closed for the weekend. They are very hard to get get over here (Canada) due to supply issues.
Phew, as a fellow (new shape) Goldwing owner I was thinking how on earth can he part company with the legend...especially after singing its praises over the months. Once you've had one you just always have to have one in your life! But then you mentioned Doble, and then I saw those recogniseable pipes under the cover and I realised what was afoot! Thank goodness for that! Beautiful bike! And the folks at Doble are first class too. I recently bought a nearly new Crosstourer Highlander DCT from them for when the adventure bug strikes me. They gave me an excellent deal and excellent service too...highly recommended (thanks Paul!).
The important thing is the details of the trade in. What was the deal. I've got 3 bikes to trade but can't believe the price for my bikes. This would be interesting for your viewers. See wether what's an acceptable price. I know the dealers talk about the hassle but the trade price is questionable. Cheers from Oz.

I bought a used bike from a dealer in February and they gave me a full tank, I was most surprised.
Have you not seen current petrol prices? £30k a tank!

That's a bummer Bob - after the 'Wing most bikes come up short!
Cheers!
Thanks Sue - we plan too, first mini tour coming soon!
Cool! Thanks for the kind comments!
Interesting feedback - sounds like you might have got a Friday afternoon bike! My gearbox is smooth as you like….
Wow - impressive mileage!
Congratulations to you and me!!! Picked up my beautiful new Multistrada V2S on Saturday!! I hope you enjoy yours as much as I'm loving mine!!
Congratulations Tim!
What color is your bike i got a deal on a 2021 DCT airbag Red with black , do you recommend it or i go black ?
@@JUFFAIR101 I got the Black one and I really like it. Does need to be washed a lot.
@@JUFFAIR101 I have the red & black model, and I LOVE it. I've only seen this color once on the street. Keeping it clean is not a problem either unlike the black which visibly shows dirt easily and is a pretty common color for motorcycles.
@@jeffreylindenwhite7930 I probably would have purchased the airbag model if I could have found it. That red and black is beautiful.
Some say that after Goldwing it can be only Goldwing. Never had one, but I would believe them. :) Keep up bro.
Thanks, will do!
Looks like it could do with a good clean Andy. Congrats on the new toy. Honda is doing great deals to compete in the market, here in France we get a 5-year full warranty with free service.
Wow!!!
@@TheMissendenFlyer Wow indeed. One has to wonder why Honda UK can't offer that sort of warranty.
Because it’s a new law in the EU to provide 5 years warranty, specifically on electronic components at least.
Do you at least have to pay for the bike? lol
5-year warranty with free labour is crazy good btw, Honda really wants to get that "reliability" moniker back, don't they?
I knew it!, was thinking to myself what could be a replacement for a 19GW? RT maybe, but in the picture didnt look like, maybe a Multi V4 but not as comfortable and more expensive maybe...so to replace a bike like that, only with another GW, for sure. Is a unique bike and probably the most comfortable bike on Earth...
"Before Goldwing no Goldwing, After Goldwing no Goldwing"
Greetings from Costa Rica
Greetings! Brilliant that you watch from all the way over there!
ATGATT.
Cheers!
Yep - loads more tours to come!
Congratulations, weather is great for you and the Mrs to do some great tours.
If I bought a bike of that value and didn't get a full tank of fuel, I'd be a bit annoyed. My new GS came with a full tank. Lovely bike none the less. Enjoy.
Ahh that was then, this is now! 😁
@@kevindarkstar 'Then' was last week for me.
It sure does!
Say WHAT?! Farewell GW!✌🏻❤️🇨🇦
Hello New GW!
…you must’ve gotten a cracken deal for them not to fill it up with gas;)
Was that important when you able to own such an expensive bike , no moaning about that in the post ,
I did get a good deal and the lack of petrol never even crossed my mind such was my excitement!
Wow that really surprised me as after the last European tour video of 5 countries I thought you were over large bikes. Really pleased for you though and hope you get to enjoy it with Mrs Flyer.
That tour just made me realise how great these bikes are for two up touring!
I guess the reason the tank wasn’t full, is fire hazard whilst in the show room!
@@howardskeivys4184 Fill it up outside.🤪
👍
I’m surprised the number of people who mentioned this - it didn’t even cross my mind! Must have been the excitement….
@@TheMissendenFlyer when I used to work for a triumph dealership we use to make sure that the tank was full.... 👍
Congratulations, Andy! Enjoy it with Mrs. Fly for many miles and have beautiful sights and memories riding it! Cheers!
Congratulations, like the colour and the loan deal sounds excellent. Looks like more European tours are planned.
Certainly are Richard…..stay tuned!
Bought my VTEC VFR from there way back in 2002. Picked up my new Multistrada V2S on Friday, well impressed so far and I’ve moved from a GSA 1250, so much lighter to handle and 4 years warranty standard.
Congratulations!
They buy harleys because of engine sound and status nothing else
@@wilcisco1159 Status is a funny thing isn't it. Like with most other things status is usually confined to a narrow segment of people who like the same thing; Harley has lots of status among Harley riders, not so much among those who ride adventure bikes, or sports bikes.
@@wilcisco1159 I believe back in the day, Harley needed aggressive tarrifs on motorcycle imports into the USA in order to reduce competition.
And I thought people bought their £20/30K Harleys because they liked them.
Harleys are ego trips nothing more and nothing less
Can’t believe you have had the old one for two years! Love the colour as well👍
I really don't get the point of these land yachts, but to each their own. Maybe it's a middle-age kind of thing...
I wouldn’t mind betting you’ve never tried one? The point for me is that as a bike for two up touring I’ve yet to find anything else as suitable…
@@pedronogueira8148 "A cesspool of idiocy" - I'm stealing that😆 It's my 4th language.
Enjoy!
I'd say it was a good move to trade in before the mileage on the '19 gets too high. Happy new bike day TMF she's a beaut :)
Could have lost a fortune if he didn't trade it in. The garage I bought the car off always invites me to trade in before my old car loses all its value from age and milage.
@@chrishart8548 Yeah you're right. A 10 year old GWing is a third of the price and most for sale secondhand have less than 20k miles, it's crazy. :)

Good work!
I am also quite fond of my pausing skills. Thanks for noticing!
Well done!
Congratulations Andy, Weirdly my 2022 Africa Twin's DCT feels more clunky and less smooth than the 2017 one did. Anyway, lovely bike - well wear.
Thank you Andy!
Congratulations on the new bike. Ride in good health !
What a stunning new bike it looks, and the blue is almost as good as the deep blue. Wishing you, and Mrs Flyer many joyous miles ahead.
Cheers Robert!
Great to see you at my local dealer where I picked my 2022 DCT Tour earlier this year. You’re going to love it
I hope you going to put some stuff on with the new bike very soon
The gold wing is for sure the gold standard of all cruisers. And I say that as a BMW guy. Have always good rides and enjoy the new Beauty 😎🇩🇪👍
You can’t get the DCT tour without the airbag here - I’d rather not have it too!
Loved the small print V4. Had to slow down the video to 0.25 speed to pause it on time haha!

Congratulations Andy, What a joyous day collecting a new bike is.. Have fun and wishing you both many happy miles in the sunshine buddy.. D&Pxx
Thank you mate! Love to Penny as ever….
Wow - thank you! ….and enjoy your trip!
Was a bit worried there at first, but I think you made the best possible choice. 👍
Can't believe they sent you away on a new bike with an empty tank 🙈 Enjoy the ride and agree on the front flashes.
Congratulations on the new bike Andy. I’m sure you’ll have some brilliant adventures with Mrs Fly.
That's the plan!
Ouch. The Wing is the thing! Good luck with your new ride.
Congrats on the new bike Mr & Mrs Flyer! Well done indeed 🥳
I did testdrive the 2022 MY Goldwing Tour DCT, and I think it is an absolutely brilliant machine. The DCT suits the Goldwing in a significant, comfortable and unique way! 👌
Wanting to order a Goldwing for 2023, I have a question you might know the answer to... (My dealer certainly doesn't... I know...🤔)
While test riding the 2022 GW DCT recently, all was good. Except for riding on the highway...
I noticed an annoying loud sound from the exhaust between approx. 2500-4000rpm. This "drone-sound" appears from say 90kmh (56mph) up to 140kmh (87mph), so exactly our general highway speed. (Above 4000rpm/140kmh the drone-sound disappears again)
Reading motorcycle journalist reports on the internet on the MY 2022 Goldwing, I am certainly not the only one with this complaint.
(For example; The BMW K1600 has an addictive exhaust note at lower speeds and in the revs, but at a constant speed on the highway it just shuts up, which in my opinion is the ideal and prefer exhaust setup.)
However, as soon as I close the throttle on the 2022 model Goldwing while riding on the highway, an oasis of silence dominates the riding experience, this in strong contrast to the drone sound! (Note: There is no misunderstanding from my side, that this distracting noise is coming from the exhaust setup and nothing else.)
I would like to ask you whether you experience the same exhaust drone issue? Comparing your 2019 MY Goldwing to your new 2022 MY Goldwing?
In case for instance; your 2019 exhaust was fine, and your 2022 model exhaust is too loud, I could consider replacing my 2022 MY exhaust with the 2019 exhaust setup...!? (Because the outer exhaust shell maintained similar throughout the years since 2018+)
Looking forward to your reply, enjoy making those videos and drive safely.
Kind regards,
Coen
Nope - exhaust on my 2022 sounds identical to my old 2019.....
Stunning bike..beautiful colour!
Meanwhile your old Honda is sat outside in tears
Good video
Thank you!
Just noticed, paused and read the “Small Print”, great stuff 😂 I found this channel last week after buying my Street Triple and haven’t stopped watching since!!!

Nicely done,you’re right,who doesn’t enjoy a new bike?
I loved the black Goldwing in the second series of Succession. Kendal getting chauffeured around the streets of Manhattan on the back of one. Congrats on your new bike! 😊
Well Andy thats my local dealer, got both my AT adventure sports from them. Honda cracks me up with there 333 deal they make out your geting sooooo much for free when really a bike that costs as much as these should come with 3 years warranty as standard and the 3 years servicing is a lie because it includes the first service at 600 miles so only 2 years! any way nice bike enjoy and ride safe.
It is bittersweet when changing bike, had that recently when chopping my XR for an RS.
I picked up my 2022 Goldwing Tour DCT three days ago on Wednesday. Absolutely love it. ❤️
Congratulations and welcome to the club! Awesome machines aren’t they….
They are great. Can’t wait to rack up some proper touring miles again.
Great timing. Last week here in USA Honda discontinued the Gold Wing, a big surprise for me. Now you bought a collectors last

what to ride? Ride safe many many miles. Zen
Have Honda announced that or is it just a rumour you e heard?
Congrats enjoy the new bike, you can't beat that feeling.
I know a lot of people think why would you go for the same model again, not me, when you've found a bike you're really happy with why not, I'm taking delivery of my third consecutive street triple next week.
Congratulations!
Haha! You had me going there for a minute. I love my 2021 Gold Wing standard and manual. I may add to my garage, but it will never be replaced!
Congratulations!
Yes I certainly wouldn’t have considered the pre 2018 bike, but this latest incarnation is awesome as a two up touring machine….
I’ve not noticed anything new about the satnav - more to come on that one!! Stay tuned….
Congrats! Despite living in the NW, I bought my GoldWing from Doble's. Great service. Look forward to hearing about your new one after a few miles in the sadle.

Yes it’s actually rather nice isn’t it….

What I like about this video is at exactly 04:50 if you pause the video, over to the left of the frame is Honda's smallest offering I think it's the "cub"? And this bike is probably the largest offering. Kudos to this set up, intentional or not! 👍👍Cheers!

Thanks Doug - all new tour models come with the airbag in the UK now…I’d rather have not had it too!

Dobles is down the road from me! Nice guys. Bought my last two bikes from there.
Yes good bunch of fellas….
I thought you had received a blow to the head hearing the news you were getting rid of the goldwing.so glad to hear you got the new model
Yes a great bunch of guys there.

Cheers John!
Congrats on the new bike TMF, new bike day is a fantastic day, enjoy
For small print v4 set TH-cam to slow motion 0.25 and hit pause 😉
