    Excelente documentário sobre a experiência de ser urban sketcher, e pela oportunidade que criaste de partilhares um desenho a nascer, a brotar do branco, a crescer com detalhes e linhas. E gostei ainda mais por ser um local da minha infância, que conheço tão bem. Abraço.

    Wow! Blown away that you could draw and paint this while filming it! Amazingly talented. Are you self taught?

    • @filipeda27
      @filipeda27  8 ปีที่แล้ว +25

      It wasn't easy filming and painting at the same time. I had to edit out some parts of the movie because the camera was off subject without me noticing.
      I am self taught. I try to do at least a drawing per day to keep practicing.

    Oi! Eu sou brasileira e gostaria muito de aprender esse tipo de desenho (eu já desenho, mas cenários são um ponto muito fraco meu). Você pode me dar algumas dicas? Por onde começar no urban sketching, pra quem nunca fez? Admiro muito seu trabalho.

    What is the blue-grey/mix you used for the shadows? I've been using Payne's Grey but it feels to warm.

    • @filipeda27
      @filipeda27  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      RhomanysRealm, I think It was Payne's Grey that I used here. Sometimes I mix it with a bit of ultramarine blue or sepia (or use a mix of these two), depending on what I see in front of me.

    How do you get the ink from the fountain pen to not bleed when you add water colour? Is it a particular ink you use our maybe a particular paper?

    • @filipeda27
      @filipeda27  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Kap, it is a waterproof ink. This one in particular is Noodler's black ink. The Noodler's brand has some other waterproof colours, as well as the Platinum Carbon ink or the DeAtramentis.

      @@filipeda27 Hi Filipe, thanks for all these videos, great work !! Quick question still about this lamy pen, what ink or cartridge do you use with it ? I also own one but all I can find is lamy ink that does not resist to water at all, so impossible to watercolor after sketching..

    • @filipeda27
      @filipeda27  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@marcfolliot4243 I use Noodlers black ink. You can also use Platinum Carbon black ink. They are both waterproof. You can either refill the cartridges or use a converter

    Since I'm usk beginner I've noticed that many artists are using lamy, as are you. But, my question is - which nib to choose? My guess is EF...

    • @filipeda27
      @filipeda27  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      The choice of nib depends of your preference for a fine or broader line.
      I tried the medium nib once, but it is to broad for me.
      If you want to go with an extra fine nib be aware that, if you use textured paper, it may no write so well.
      Personally I like to use the fine nib.

    • @AllelujaHapitsm
      @AllelujaHapitsm 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the reply! I've used 0,1 uni fine marker, but it's toooo broad for me x) Now I'm using sakura 001 and it's a bit better :) At the moment I'm waiting moleskine watercolor notebook to arive for me, and buy the looks of it, it looks that is not very textured, so my guess is that there will be no problems for using lamy on it. Meanwhile, strugling with conquering perspective. And seeing you drawing / coloring / filming at the same time... man, that is some serious skill you've got. Thumbs up and bow!

    • @filipeda27
      @filipeda27  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have used those moleskine also. They only have mild texture so it is ok for the pens.
      As for the perspective all I can say is... keep practicing as much as you can. In time things star coming almost naturally.
      I try to draw at least once a day. I fail to do it sometimes, but I am completing my 43rd sketchbook now.
