Awesome video! I have definitely been struggling with this. I am all for donation-based classes and giving freebies when our heart is in it. But I feel that by not charging for our services we are basically cheapening our work. We are training our students to expect yoga to always be free. We are teaching people that yoga isn't valuable enough to be worth a dollar amount. That our time is somehow not worthy of compensation. I'm with you: I call BS. It's time we yoga teachers step into our worthiness and start communicating the value of our work by assigning a dollar amount. We give so much. We deserve to reap an abundant harvest from that generosity 🙏🏼💕

Perfectly explained. Thank you for saying this, it's something that most people (me included) in art/yoga/wellness/etc world struggle with. Keep being amazing as you are :)

You have an informative video! For me, Yoga is like any other services that need to have a fair price like anyone else. You could try to see how much other Yoga teachers are asking for, set your price from there but do not set too low.

This is a big topic for me as well. Not a teacher myself but I firmly believe that we create our world by deciding how we spend our money. If we want a longer, healthier and happier life then we need to PAY for things that make us healthy and happy. It's not rocket science.
I do empathize with SOME people who don't like paying only cause we're raised in a culture where we personally don't pay for a lot of content. It's not 'free' content though, it's just someone else paid for it. But if you're not taught that you may not think of it that way. So, as hard as it maybe, artists and health practitioners need to remind people that yeah, this is how the world works, you PAY for stuff so you can keep having more stuff. And the better quality you want, the more you have to pay.

Charging money for my bootcamp classes and coming up with a "fair" price is so hard!! I want to bring awesomeness to the class and I hope they see how much I love it and it will inspire them to keep coming and value what I do.

There's a lot of TIME and obviously money that goes into becoming a yogi (even if it's self taught!). People should absolutely charge for yoga classes/guidance.

Well to get certified to become a yoga instructor is quite expensive and the training is very intense so Yesss of course you have to charge

It's not like you can get chickens instead traded to you so yeah I reckon one should get money for holding classes :P
