Interesting - but, since you can print onto either paper or fabric, what is the point of printing on fusible interfacing and then sticking it onto paper or fabric. Can anybody enlighten me? Does it, perhaps give a special surface texture?

Absolutely. Or if you want, you can make the prints straight to fabric too. Or with fabric paints. Good questions deserve answers, no matter how late.

Just wondering if you can use fabric paint on the gelli plate without ruining it? thanks as always for sharing.
Most fabric paints are acrylic based so it should be no different than using acrylics.
Would I be able to fuse the interfacing to a canvas bag?
Absolutely! Or any other base material you might like, just as long it can take the ironing.. Just make sure to use either pretty light layers of paint, use the more fluid acrylics, use fabric paints or any acrylics with fabric medium. If you are unsure or applying it to something mega-important, make a small test piece first; some paints tend to get superstiff when fully dried (otherwise you might end up with a bucket instead of a bag..) And one more thing, be sure to have the kind of webbing that has adhesive only on one side, not the double sided one. I think Im too late to be of any help to you, but hopefully somebody else gets to do cool stuff, since these guys dont believe in answering valid questions. Bah!
I tried this. When I ironed it onto paper, it didn't stick. Anyone know what the secret it to get it to stick???
