The New BMW M5 competition LCI still runs the brilliant S63 V8 engine producing 625bhp but now comes with new laser lights, new tail lights, rear diffuser and much more. I have the m5 competition. Love it. Rear diffuser the same though and you incorrectly state the sound muted due to opf, that’s not the case as the 19 model also had opf, It’s actually the ECU that’s had tweaks. No more extra power on lci but they have pulled back the pops and bangs that the earlier model had. Nothing to do with opf however, just fuelling emissions etc. Also gesture control is not just on Lci, Was on 19 models too 👍🏼

That's the muffler you showed, OPFs are small canister like structures further up the exhaust toward the engine . Would love this car, playing on BOTB for one lol.
A great review however I feel the updated M5 although a fantastic car is just not updated enough to justify the cost over a year old M5 competition.Because the average person would not no the difference unless pointed out to them.

These packs the manufacturers do now drive me nuts !
The pre LCI cars had OPF too, all petrol BMWs since 2018 have had them - difference with the LCI cars is they’ve coded out the overrun cracks/burbles
It's a tragedy, I got one of the last 2020s and it pops all day long. Assume you can get them back with a tune on 21+? Dunno?

Mdrive is not xdrive /AWD. Its only RWD. All M cars are only RWD. Atleast in US
Too bad that deleting the OPFs with an aftermarket system voids the warranty. Also, an engine/ECU Remap is necessary 🤦♂️
It’s not necessary on the road your faster than 99% of the cars

BMW asked me to wear it as others were also driving it before and after me

Inside tec is brilliant, and really improved, but the outside looks have just gone downhill constantly from the original M5 F90, especially the god awful rear lights, it's like it is trying to imitate a Mercedes now for looks ! YUK ! Also why the hell would they put usb c ports in instead of standard usb ports, everone has a standard usb lead with every device, regardless of whether they have an android end, iphone end or anything else! Makes zero sense at all, they have been so thoughtfull with the ambient lighting changing to red as the doors open as a warning, yet thoughtless enough to not add standard usb connections !!
Lol the lci brake lights look way better than the old ones

Too bad (probably) this 5 series is the last amazing looking generation from BMW.
Judging from the new M3 and M4 and next gen design from BMW the next 5(M) series will be UGLY as f*ck.
