I've had my '20 M5 competition for about eight months now, and it brings a smile to my face every time I drive it. What a machine! I did have to get rid of the stock brake pads though. They were so noisy and dusty. Replaced with EBC red stuff.
My LCI M5 Comet ran 33 mpg from Littlehampton to Anglesea, which was amazing. Regular runs without hysterics achieve 23 mpg. Shove it in Sport + and you'll get sub 10mpg and a broken neck. And it looks so understated, few know what it is, and for such a large car the way it goes round corners without rolling is amazing. Play with the paddles if you like, but auto is expert and leaves you to concentrate on steering, which you will appreciate. Forget the launch control. Acceleration in any mode is phenomenal. The only real downside is that the time it takes to reach illegal speeds is so short (eg 6point something to 100mph), your fun is over in a couple of heartbeats. But it's an experience I never tire of. And the family can come too!
Some car isn’t it mate. I managed 36mpg on a trip from the north west to mid wales which is crazy for a 4.4l petrol. I have to admit I’ve only seen that figure once.. usually hovering around the low 20’s but who buys them for mpg! As you say puts a smile on your face every time you get into it. Only had mine 3 months but what a car. Will be keeping for a good while. Can’t go anywhere without Waze on though or it’ll be no license and public transport pretty quickly. Gets over the speed limit far too easy 😅
Dude. I'm considering buying one but the daily driving mpg was sort of putting ne off. I don't mind it being greedy but I couldn't handle sub ten all the time
So realistically, can someone tell from their experience, if you drive this car in a normal manner , not like you stole it 😂😂, what's the reality on mpg?? Driving in comfort and normal settings , not super sport In town, combined, and long distance please 🙏
I got out of my M5 Competition in effecincy mode on the highway 900 km. When I filled up the tank the km displayed showed 1031km. Unfortunately I cannot post a pic…. For me the M5c is on the highway very efficient between 120 - 140 km/h In town I am doing 9.5 - 10.5 Liter on 100km
It’s obviously a fantastic car but let’s be real it’s just too much. The more power the less time on the throttle , you could argue 300bhp is pushing it on the road(which my car is) Anyway it’s just an opinion 😮😮😮. Another great video though 😊😊
I had the same choice and went M5 with no regrets. The M5 has a far superior cabin feel and much more room in the back for passengers (I have kids). It’s also much more of a driver’s car imo. That said, the RS4 is lovely looking car - it is also smaller and probably easier to hustle down a b-road.
@@RBhogal Right! M5 has not been cheap to run, it is thirsty (I bought at the height of fuel prices sadly) and costly to insure. I also think the ride is very firm so, whilst it is fine from a driver standpoint, be mindful of your passengers if they are going to travel a lot in the car (it’s my daily, but not the family car). I’d agree with Raz (Mr AMG) for example on his assessment of the ride - I imagine at your budget you should be looking at LCI versions which, I can confirm, a much better damped over the small bumps. But, as a driver’s car, I cannot think of anything that would suit me better as a year-round daily in the UK - relatively discreet looking, with a luxurious and well equipped cabin, but also an M car so sharp, precise and devastatingly fast.
The greatest sedan ever built. If you are lucky enough to drive one youll agree.
Absolutely. Right from back in the day they've been consistent in building the fastest sedan on the market

One of the best reviews on the m5. 👍👍👍

Cracking vid as ever mate. Glad your sub count is on the rise, well deserved!
That's stupidly quick as expected
Really loving your style of reviews! Keep it up :)
I love your videos mate, really hope your channel explodes soon, bought G30 based on your review and I am happy as ever.
Great video, would love to see a 330e G20 review
Love your video's. Your license evaporating in your wallet just had me in stiches. Keep these up !
The indicator application should come with Toyota’s as well
What’s it’s like compared to that 2019 e63 you drove. That Mercedes sounded more of a beast. Is this more torque feeling you think?
This is sharper but actually less 'torquey' than the E63s i feel.
M5 is beautiful and too fast for the road, i’ll still take an E63s due to it having a pan roof as well as a better soundtrack
600 hp monster that wants to mist the cabin with fabreze? 😂
I think that's what the massage seats were made for with this car. not for pleasure. just to realign your spine aha.

Have to agree, you absolutely need a track to really exploit it.
Sounds like rich country problems, where I live anyone is pushing their car especially on the highway so to each their own🤨
You must be fun at parties
@@D0wNhiLLfact’s people be pushing 2L pocket rockets down backroads😂😂😂
300bhp is the sweet spot for driving country roads
E63s or M5 comp?
Monster
Which Mercedes’ are you driving in the preview near the start?
it’s a 2013 Mercedes C350D
Thanks will keep an eye out for that one!
Don't know whether to buy this or a B9 RS4, any recommendations?
This is in a different league compared to an RS4. The Audi RS6 is a closer match.
@@ParagonCarsLondon True, I have a budget of £55k for that I can get a RS4 or M5 but the new shape RS6 is out of my price range.

@@PrinceBarin77I have kids too, I guess the M5 it is then! Or maybe a 540i depending on insurance quotes 😅
