    Thanks for the review. For anybody else, the actual review (why you clicked this video) starts over one-third of the way into the video @4:04.

    I love your videos man. There are a ton of video gear reviewers and tutorials out there, but I really like your approach and your personality. Your vids have really helped me make my own work much better, thank you!

    Hi, Caleb. Please don't take this the wrong way. As someone who just had to deal with a mole that was cancerous, I am very concerned about the two large red moles on the left side of your face. A dermatologist can easily/painlessly remove the moles and test for skin cancer. Hopefully, they are benign, but it is better to be safe than not. Because the moles are on your head, there will likely be no scaring and the healing process will be fast. Just concerned about you, buddy. I want you to be doing these videos for years to come. Please have them checked. Great video, by the way. Thanks! :)

      Hi, Michael. Please don't take this the wrong way. As someone who just happened to read this message, I am very concerned about how you chose to tell this TH-camr this concern of yours. Any rational human being can easily/logically make the assessment to send him this message privately. Hopefully, you don't take this the wrong way, but consider moving forward in your life by considering your actions before you commit to them. Because you made this remark publically others can't help but now focus on and, in some cases, find this humorous. Just concerned about you, buddy. I want you to enjoy more videos in the future. Please be more tactful. Great comment, by the way. Thanks! :)

      @@vinananda , you make a good point. My comment and advice was overtaken by my strong concern for his health. I overlooked how others might take the comment as humorous or insensitive. At the very least, I hope these comments have highlighted the need for all of us to have a professional exam possible cancerous moles. Happy New Year!

    This was very informal. Resolve is definitely the NLE for me and should be for most, so to speak. Thank you for making this simple and straight to the point!

    There’s 2 things that I would to see from Blackmagic.
    1. The ability to have a separate dockable window for nodes.
    2. A mini panel with a scopes screen.

    • @concernedblackman1913
      @concernedblackman1913 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Why if they're on the screen with your image. Doesn't make sense to look at the panel to monitor your color. Just get an additional monitor

    I've been debating between the Mini and the Micro panel for a while. I guess the price dropped in the last 5 years? It's only $2,115 for the Mini on Amazon and $859 for the Micro. I've been using DR for a few years now and I've been editing videos at least once a week with 60-80 b-roll shots being about 15 to 25 minutes long total. I think the Mini panel being about 2.5x now makes it more appealing for someone even like me. The micro seems a bit underwhelming judging by the reviews, and as the DR rep said going from 100% to 30% M&K usage would be amazing.
    Thank you for the breakdown and your view of the Mini panel!

    The color of your "human capture" footage has really nice color / skin tones.

    Hey , Does this panel helpful only with full hd or 4 k ,, cuz I have old video with 640*480 and I need to do color grade , is it ok for that ?

  • @TonyMacina
    @TonyMacina 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Looks like the micro might be a great investment! I want to grade using Resolve, just find the UI better from the few times I've used it compared to Premiere. But I love Premiere for the actual editing, so investing 3k on just a grading tool seems too steep.

      You might prefer the Tanget panels better.
      Tho not as deep, they work in every professional NLE and grading tool on the market.
      Great for when you are working in multiple programs.

    I work in an ad agency..used premier as my main editing software till now but I want to start davinci . Is it necessary for a beginner like me to get the panel now ? I can edit without the panel?

    • @syedsalman5497
      @syedsalman5497 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not possible for me to afford a panel or ask my office to pay for it at the moment

    • @CalebWojcik
      @CalebWojcik  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, you can do everything in the program without the panels. They just speed up the workflow.

    For 1000 you can also get a Tangent Wave II - works with Resolve AND Premiere AND many photo apps And.... I think it's far better value than this.
