Got that 1998 libertad I've been wanting. Already got my New Year's resolution goal accomplished. Sticking to the plan & the final goal. Now it's time to buy & stack the constitutional junk silver dimes at lowest premium possible & lowest cost 10oz bars if a dip presents itself to get the weight up & strengthen the foundation of my stack. I already got the RCM bar, but looking to get a Germania, JM, A-Mark, Sunshine, Asahi, & a low mintage Engelhard. But will always buy a 1oz-2oz RP libertad (or 2021 ASE type 1) if a good deal presents itself. I'm also a collector of Kooks & now I'm looking into the Pandas. But the libertads however will always go into the deep stack for me to HODL.

You should try and get your hands on a 1921 silver two peso winged liberty coin. A very special one year mintage. Especially since you enjoy the Liberia’s design so much.
And now that I know there are 4 types I'll be looking at the differences when I see them. I was never educated on the Libertad's. I kinda like the one big bird better than all the little ones but different designs are good for collecting.

Some people think that if it doesn’t state a denomination, it’s not a coin. I disagree. I define a Libertad as a coin because it’s backed by the Mexican government.

You already hit on the lettered versus reeded edge and the font changes but I am interested in the other detailed variants which I believe have to do with the number of dots on the cactus pad below the left claw of the eagle, correct? Are there any other documented variants?

What size coin tube would fit those? Ideally, I would like to purchase a tube those holds 20 Type 1 Mexican Libertads. Also, I prefer not to use capsules for these. Any ideas? :-) ~ Jeff
I have both but I prefer the newer code of arms. I was confused when I bought my 1994 coin since it looked different to my 1983 with the weird letters. This video was the best and cleared it up for me. Thanks new sub here.

Picked up 2 1993 1/2 Ounce & 2 2021 1/2 Ounce Mexican Libertads. I love them and willing to pay the premium for them if I find them within a reasonable price

Much to my surprise.i found the mexican revolt happen sometime near 1920s not back in 1800s. W both viva and mr z whos name i cant spell were in business at same time. It would be interesting to see a post on coins of the revolt. A guy eddie i met 50 years back grandfather grand dad was vivas right had man. His grandmother had a 3 foot by 10 inch photo of viva and his officers.wouldnt i love to own that photo. Eddies grand dad sat on horse right of viva bullet bandoliers and all. Never got thier last mame. Do u sell coins also? The silver pecos seem hard 2 find. Well in michigan anyway. Seems to be canadian silver is found here. I was collecting southwest indian jewelry vintage 40 years back. Thats how i got hip to pesos silver dollars. The indians use them to make jewelry. They melt bettee faster easilier 2 work over usa silver dollar. I think the peso was 92% v. 90%? Something like that l

Downloaded Ping Coin for Android and my '13, '16 and '22s passed but my '90s didn't. Do the older, smaller Libs sound different.
They should still sound like silver. Slightly different because of the size, but still like silver. Try magnet.
