A fun DVD to watch is Styx live with the Contemporary Youth Orchestra Of America. The band had been asked a few times about doing an orchestra collaboration but they felt is was a bit cliche. However when the conductor of the youth orchestra contacted them and said the orchestra were all under 18 and she wanted them to see how different styles can work together, Styx said yes! The think with Styx (which of my all-time) you could listen to a lot of their songs, and you wouldn't realize it was the same band. They had three distinctly different singer/voices, each in their own right were great and their songs they sung don't really sound like the others - except when harmonizing. The reason Iron Maiden is easy on the ears, because they rely on "melody". it's melodic rock or groove rock as has been called. It's not all just harsh power chords to a beat.
being as big a fan as you are of Ozzy and Black Sabbath, I had no doubt you'd love Alice in Chains - they are very heavily influenced by Sabbath. Layne Staley, the lead vocalist for Chains was not just an incredible voice - but a one in a billion amazing voice like nothing else. He was out of this world and made you feel all the emotion hurt, and pain he felt. Most of us unanimously consider "LOVE HATE LOVE" live at the Moore (Paris) to be their greatest performance, and every rock fan should watch it at least once. His story is such a tragedy though, taken from us way too early. Such as a sad sad story.
My question is. Are you a musician? I have watched several of your videos and you seem to be really in tune with the music like you know what they are playing. Just curious if you are a musician or just someone who really loves music that much

i do love a few Buckley tracks, and my mum loves that album. i've never listened to it in it's entirety myself!
Full reactions plz
Try Yngwie Malmsteen, simply the best Neoclassical metal exponent
RIP Layne and Mike
Oh wow Styx Alice in Chains and Iron Maiden my favs
My question is. Are you a musician? I have watched several of your videos and you seem to be really in tune with the music like you know what they are playing. Just curious if you are a musician or just someone who really loves music that much
When Nightwish!
Styx - Mr roboto
Other great Alice in Chains songs are Rooster and Man in the Box. Also another great grunge band is Soundgarden. Rusty Cage is one of their top songs.
PLEASE try "SOUNDGARDEN's" "OUTSHINED". One of their first hits. I just know you'll love it. Chris Cornell was the lead singer (passed away in 2017 :( ) He WAS The KING of GRUDGE before anyone else and had an out of this world voice!! So many hits! Thank you! Love your channel!! :) PS...Alice In Chains is addicting!! :D
Styx named themselves after the mythical river in Hell

The river Styx forms the boundary between Earth and the Underworld.

Blue Oyster Cult
I want see you react on “Dogs - Pink Floyd” that would be great!
I think you should do a video reacting to just Alice in chains tehehe ( Down in a hole , Nutshell , Love Hate Love are songs that will give you chills !!)! Awesome video
I actually didn’t know Styx had that hard of rocking stuff. Of course I’m just more familiar with their hits
Alice in Chains album that i must enjoy is first AiC - Facelift, just because is in more alternative/heavy metal oriented way, the rest of their discography is great but is more rock/grunge you know, btw Dirt is still heavy
niiice i only had Dirt on my radar as it's the popular one
@@kirawasareactor yes and the EP Jar of Flies, those 2 are the most popular
Cool idea…. Next time do spin the wheel “TOOL Songs” 😂🙏🙏🙏🙏
BAHAHA
@@kirawasareactor fun fact TOOL and Alice In Chains did a few tours together back in the early 90’s. Imagine how awesome that concert would be
Alice In Chains will never disappoint you.
Pleeeeeese more Alice in Chains.....you may have found an era you love. The late 90s is amazing for grunge/metal/nu-metal.
