during badmotorfinger and superunknown chris had this wonderful restrained sort of sound to his high notes. they all sounded so closed off and shiny in the best way possible. songs like limo wreck and jesus christ pose show what i mean quite well, it’s gorgeous.
Please do an analysis of sir Russell Allen (he sings in: Symphony X, Adrenaline Mob, Allen/Lande, Allen/Olzon) :D He's the greatest living male rock/metal singer for me
@@RockVoxYT here's the same song in studio footage recorded with on-camera mic, you can hear and see how much energy it takes for him to sing that th-cam.com/video/9pZwMFgCmBU/w-d-xo.html
Thank you so much for showing me this side of Chris Cornell! I've got a suggestion for analysis - I would love to see you do John Pinto jr. I think his TAKING CHANCES (by Celine Dion) live cover is more diverse and suitable for analysis than his famous NEVER ENOUGH cover. He can belt high in edge no doubt but his dynamic control and sound color in the middle of the 4th octave are what I would love you to unpack
Great song pick! This song from Cornell is underanalyzed and really complex. Would be interesting to hear analysis of a singer with darker timbre, like Eddie Vedder, Hozier, Rag'N'Bone Man or even Peter Steele
@RockVoxYT I know a teacher here who is receiving training at CVI,The information she came through was classify into as rd edge in some sense.Currently it is only available in the cvi course. I don’t know if you know about this, but it seems like they have changed a lot of things.
Great stuff!!
Great job guys

Russell is a monster singer for sure!
Do you have any particular songs and parts in mind?
@@RockVoxYT for example this song could be cool for analysis: th-cam.com/video/qZnTRIw1QKw/w-d-xo.html

Great suggestions, and great username! 😂 thanks! - Aaron
I heard curbing mode was removed?
You mean removed from the CVT model? Where did you get that info? It definitely hasn't been removed

@RockVoxYT You are an insider, so I want to confirm whether this is the case. 👆
@@GGbond763 I've been to the update at CVI this fall and there was absolutely no mention of this, so it seems unlikely to me.

I just double checked with CVI just in case and Curbing is definitely still a part of the model, so somebody probably misunderstood something
