Hello Astro!! I am the guy with the second setup! I just go by CMDR mogless. I thought you'd make notice with the aces on my wall lol. I play a ton of poker and the wall was empty and full of holes from screws, so I took one of my old card decks which was completely broken up, but I conveniently had those four aces in the deck. Don't know why I hung them up, but why not XD I usually use the laptop for watching videos or using 3rd party tools when playing elite, but sometimes I use it for researching and troubleshooting when programming. Thanks a lot for reviewing my cockpit Astro! o7

I'm the first cockpit. Yup you guessed right, I did pull inspiration from Star Trek. My Dad grew up with 60s Trek and I grew up with the 80s trek movies and TNG. Thank you for your review.

These ones are wicked awesome! Have something similar. They should come up with a 4 pedal set up so you could do the racing games and keep it there for your rudder, thruster & brake especially if you have the warthog. Miss that twist rudder accomplished when using Saitek X-52 or other with twist joystick.

Perfect timing! Just as I made myself a cup of coffee to take a short break, I get the notification for this video.😁

One of the most immersive additions to my 49" curved wide screen, X52 Pro HOTAS, and Trackir system is the "Buttkicker". This thing will make you jump out of your socks. (Play Elite Dangerous.)

Yeah Buttkicker is awesome, I have one too. I hope they will add ED to their hapticonnect software!

There's me playing on my laptop with my controller. Although, to be fair I am sat in the living room in my favourite recliner chair with the laptop on an adjustable laptop stand that fits over the chair so I got that going for me. :)

I saw the preview page and was like "Hey someone has a set up similar to mine...oh wait!!!" lol
Thank you so much for reviewing my set up. It is TR120 with the 4 monitor mount connected to it (you can by a 4 monitor mount stand if you want). They do have a more flight sim friendly configuration, but definitely check them, Next Level Racing, and Sim Lab if you're considering it.
As far as keyboard and mouse tray goes, yeah unfortunately it was one of the compromises, but so far I haven't had an issues with it, but admittingly I haven't played much for the on foot stuff in the game, the only first person game I've been playing is Phasmaphobia, and it seems to be going decent. But I want to do some farming for my suits and weapons soon so that will be a good test!
The certificates are just printouts of my first wins on both road course and ovals, they're just silly little items I have on display with cheap frame, a good laugh lol
And yeah the shoes are for racing, especially for the brake since it's a load cell (pressure-based braking).
    Thank you so much again!!
But yes if you have any questions about Trakracer stuff, definitely email me and I can give you my discord!

Looks awesome dude! I'm building somthing similar out of PVC pipe. struggling to work out how to mount racing pedals and rudder pedals without having to switch them for different games.

    • @SN3Gaming_
      @SN3Gaming_ ปีที่แล้ว

@matthewreynolds8025 Oh yeah the challenge for mounting pedals and keeping them stable is also key especially with the racing pedals. Maybe some sort of quick release system?

if you get a sim racing rig from someone like trackracer or other brands (theres some better ones out there if you look hard enough) theyre usually extremely customisable. theyre essentially bases that you configure to your needs. so you could definitely use one to make a really good cockpit. you could also do the same as that guy and build in some form of wheel setup (could be interesting for video's? does SC support wheels?)

Gameglass seems like a good idea but there's no windows version for my MS surface tablet. Similarly it's a subscription payment model which is just annoying and very expensive for what you're getting.

Astro, love these cockpit reviews! would love to know more about the 2nd guy’s pc build if you don’t mind me DM’ing you my email to pass to him. I too am looking to build a pc that can handle Odyssey without me breaking the bank now GPU prices are sky-rocking, so I can migrate from my PS b4 frontier close the window.
