I picked up on the seat of Elijah. Growing up Jewish I always remembered the empty seat at Passover for Elijah. When I became a Christian and learned about Jesus in the Passover I marveled at the symbolism of the empty chair… Elijah being a “type” for the Savior. When I saw the episode refer to the empty chair I just knew that it was for Jesus!!! Still, I cried when He knocked on the door and then took His rightful seat! The series is so insightful and sensitive to the historical setting. It still baffles me that my people cannot see Yeshua, the, suffering Messiah, who will return as the Conquering King soon.
I thought all other New Testament (Matthew 11:13-14, 17:10-12; Luke 1:11-17; John 1:19-23) & Old Testament references to the coming of Elijah (Malachi 4:5-6) refer to John the Baptist. If so, how is Elijah’s seat given to Jesus?
The more I see these videos, the more I see the depth to which these Gospel stories still speak to modern hearts; and by understanding the backdrop, history, and religious concepts of the Old and New Testament periods, the more we can apply the truths to our hearts and current situations. Thank you for your commentaries and applications that help me to understand God's Word more.

Yes indeed very well done lots of explanation lots of teaching here it is wonderful that we as Gentiles have been grafted into the vine have friends with Messianic Jewish people who could tell us about the real meaning of the Old Testament and intertwine it with the promises and the truth the Christ left for us Jesus Christ left for us in the New Testament. This is an amazing program and I'm truly blessed to have been able to watch the first series and I'm looking forward to seeing the second series. I have watched these episodes often in anticipation of more as most fans have. I love how you draw attention to the subtle lessons in each scene. The Chosen opened door for me. I love to study so in this waiting period I began studying Israel more in depth. I am pretty familiar with scriptures but not of Israel today. So, I started watching the Jerusalem station with Christine Darg. One for Israel, which has several speakers. And of course Brandon Robins who is very informative and details the chosen episodes so we understand the depth of the lessons. I feel so blessed to have these great avenues of study adventure- reinforcing scripture and helping us see how to apply them in our own lives. Praying for these ministries for the body of Christ everywhere and especially Israel and the Jewish folk at this time.
I love how you showed Jesus's humbleness. I heard another explain the birth of Jesus.....born in a barn with manure. Now that is a humble birth. The lamb of God.

Another reason we rest on the Sabbath is to show that we trust God. Carlin had a blasphemous riff on the ten commandments, but I see them more and more as signs of our trust[. We don't have to work every day - God will provide. We don't need to steal - God will provide. We don't need to poach others spouses - God will provide.

Hey Brandon, I just want to say thank you so much for your commentary and the emphasis that you put on each and every episode I didn’t find your platform until I was at season two episode one but I’ve gone back and watch them in tonight I just cited that I was going to take that very first episode that I watched from you and I posted it to my Facebook ... I Come from a very large family my mother was the last child of 11 children there are 5 living generations and a 6th on its way. My Daddy was one of 8 children and they all have 3-5 children. some of my cousins I don’t know their names. But when we all get together and i see their faces I know from which of my cousins they have descended from ❣️❣️❣️ I wrote them a note with your commentary so I am praying that they will all start watching and make it a family affair! And we all need to continue to pray for Dallas and his entire cast and crew and the preachers and evangelist that meet at the round table! Also for God to give him favor to have people to keep it free! This Show keep the fire burning in your soul, It also makes you Love The Lord more and more! Brandon, Thank you for the insight you have given. May I share an insight you may or may not have about this story of Nicodemus. In chapters 3 through 6 of the Gospel of John, he tells 6 stories. Two at the first passover, two at the second, and two at the third. In the first of each of these three pairs of stories, someone comes to Jesus. In the second, Jesus comes to someone. The message that John is giving is this. All who come to Christ will be fed. All who believe Christ will saved. Read them yourself and you will see that John has much more to say. I came to Christ and I was fed, believed and shown the way.

Thank you for your insight in the Chosen series. Being a good portion of the Chosen is "extra biblical" how much of the Gnostic Gospels were relyed on? How does the religious trio view the Gnostics? Gospel, heresy or just contemporary writing of biblical times? I have read the biblical Gospels, and love how this series personalizes the Apostles.
You bring about many great points. I just want to add that we should not forget Mark 13:32, Luke 23:46, Matthew 27:46 and my favorite John 8:28. There are also verses that speak of authority given to men (Matthew 9:6-8) because one can't help but notice Jesus does not say >> I forgive you of your sins your sins are forgiven

Now I’m watching each episode AGAIN after watching each applicable commentary FIRST. The hermeneutics you provide in your analyses have made the experience of re-watching the companion episode all the reacher and more meaningful. 👍 For that I thank you dearly. Unfortunately, I found the briefly flashed image of “Queen” Latifa, a most inappropriate 👎, unnecessary distraction that was not at all in keeping with the overall character and quality of your other commentaries.

The lambs used for the temple sacrifice were born in Bethlehem. Was he born in the very stables where these lambs were born? I believe so!

Now I’m watching each episode AGAIN after watching each applicable commentary FIRST.
