My heart skipped a beat when Jesus said, "I saw you under the fig tree" I cried... because I know he's seen me in my despair, depression & near suicide. 😌🙏🙏🙏
Just know you are not alone and lean on him. Next time just pray, get help and wait for the sun to come up the next morning, it always does. God be with you.
keep hanging in there, i have been going thru many struggles and one thing i need to do is put Jesus yoke upon me and sleep when it feels unbearable. if you ever need to talk you are more than welcome to get in touch with me. we got to hold hand in these last days with Jesus and us who are wanting to follow Him. sheri
the scene came so close to me, and how I feel that I am not worthy...but I feel as Matthew does, with drawing the circle in the gound, and then, Thats me, outside... That has been ME all my life, as throw away ever since I was born, and how I still feel, at the age of 67..still feeling like a throw away, BUT I know God is with me, more than I thought he was..
I showed The Chosen to my 80 year old grandma who grew up under Soviet occupation and she was so moved and felt like the Scripture has come alive finally. It was the most beautiful thing to experience. So thankful there are language options so she could hear it and enjoy it fully. God, bless The Chosen team!
Commenting from the tiny island of Saipan in the middle of the Pacific Ocean...... please keep the series going !!! Your work has reached us this far! GLORIFY GOD IN ALL THAT YOU DO
I agree with you. I think Mary Magdalene and Phillip are the only disciples, aware of Matthew's particular charm. He is the picture of intelligent naivete, an echo of the wonder of childhood.
First of all I have to say that I love ALL things 'The Chosen' hands down but in terms of the scene of Nathaniel's switch .... Man that scene has impacted my adult son who has struggled so much in his relationship with God lately. We watch all of the episodes as soon as we can after their release as a family and that scene with Jesus saying "I saw you under the fig tree and I've never turned my face from you" broke a spiritual weight he's been carrying since he got out of the Navy a year ago. He was quiet for several days but by the time he was in church on Sunday the dam was broken and he broke down in tears and released all the doubts and pain, gave it to God for his restoration to finally begin. The difference in our family, in him, and his walk in faith has been beyond description. And it started with us sharing your show as a family and talking about each episode like a Bible study. I can never thank you enough!! And we pray for you and everyone involved to be guided and blessed in this journey because we are living in the proof that God is using it all to change lives. God bless you brother and Thank you for providing the fish and loaves 💙.
Wow such a touching testimony and I’m so happy I read all the way through it. I can feel the weight of your sons pain being lifted. I don’t know how, but I do. This is by far my favorite scene and the most holy. God has truly blessed the Chosen and in turn blessed us. 💟✝️💟
I love the episode with Nathaniel. Him crying out to God, how I’ve felt like that. Then when he meets Jesus, wow, gave me chills and I was crying too. It was the most intense regarding a relationship with Jesus, about submitting to him, realizing what HE wants of us not what we want. I bought that shirt COME AND SEE!
This is my favourite episode. I would like to highlight the things I appreciated about this particular episode. In order of appearance. Wardrobe- Nathaniels outfit before the building fall is quite exquisite. But the naturally worn and lived in clothes of Philip are also so authentic. Hair- Andrews hair ( as others in episode 3)...are so naturally unkempt for people who have been living on the road for a long time. So often, in other dramas people are unnaturally pristine despite the circumstance. Philip is a walking lecture series on how to be affable and supportive. His warmth is framefilling. The scene where he leaps on the interpretation of " death wish" was really striking. The emotion exploding out of Austin under the fig tree reminds me of the return of Maximus finding his wife and child dead in Gladiator. Outstanding. Loved the comedic beats of Thomas delivery throughout. So funny. The conversation between Nathaniel and Philip in his beautiful home is just a masterclass for other actors and directors to watch. It is sublime perfection. Austin is a really high skill actor with so much range and expressivity. Loved his comedic beats both there and in the pub. The last scene....so moving...yet convincing. Educational....I had to look up the meaning of " hubris" ..... Masterpiece work in that episode.
All of these episodes have me in tears from season 1 episode 1. I haven't really sat down and read or studied the bible, but The Chosen has opened my eyes to Him. In my younger days I strayed off the path many times. Had 2 children before I was 21 and just went through the motions of life not even thinking of Him. Now at 63 my eyes are open wide because of you Dallas, and I want to thankyou and your team of amazing actors for bringing me closer to God. My mom passed away in 2008 and she always wore a little gold cross around her neck. When she died i put the cross around my neck and have been wearing it ever since. After my brother passed away in 2009 on Christmas day I was angry with God for taking my last brother away, but my brother had cancer and God knew he was tired and in pain. He would read the Bible all the time and pray so I know he's in a good place with my mom and dad and my brothers. I can't wait to see them again as I do in my dreams all the time. I talk to my friends and grandchildren about The Chosen so it's up to them to choose the right path. Please pray for my daughter, her last pap test showed cancer cells. She has to have a biopsy done next week and I'm scared. I have prayed for God not to take her too. She has 4 sons from ages 3 to 21. I can't lose her too she's my rock and I love her dearly. Thankyou Dallas for showing me the way back to Him. God bless you and your team.
Lynne Gulbrand - Happy Mother's Day ! I hope it has been great for your and your family ! Our Savior, Jesus the Christ, always, always, left us beautiful stories that if we read, would help us better understand Him, and He always left us more information into His very Heart and Love for us.. The Prodigal Son (or Daughter), is just beautiful ! The son in this case, takes his inheritance, and leaves home to go explore the world.. He has a great time, he ends up penniless, and finally, finally, realizes that Home is where he needs to go back to.. Meanwhile, his Father, has been patiently waiting, waiting, waiting, all day, all night, watching the road, hoping he will see his son again.. And he finally sees him !! Slowly, probably very thirsty and hungry, coming down that long road back to his Home, Parents, and Siblings.. His elderly Father is so happy ! He runs ! All the way to meet his lost son, and hugs him, and is so happy to see him again.. He wants to have a big celebration to celebrate the return of his son ! The other sons - not so happy about it, but they get over it.. The Dad says something like - we have to remember that no matter what has happened, our son who was lost is now found !!! He is Home !!! Lynne, I promise you in the name of Jesus Christ, our Master, that He and His Father, our Father in Heaven, have Always been waiting for you and are so happy and grateful that you have started the way back !! That is all they ever want ! For us to Return to where we ALL started from ! The Good Shepherd, as we read, left his 99 sheep in a safe place and went out to find the one that was lost !! Because He Loves ALL His Sheep - US !!! Find a picture of the Savior where He is standing at the door. He said "I stand at the door and knock", remember?? Look closely at that picture and notice the door.. There is NO Handle on it on the outside !! He cannot open it.. He never will open it - WE have to open it from the inside, and Invite Him in.. We, Lynne will Always have to open our Hearts and let Him in.. He will be so happy to be invited in.. This I promise to you !! God Bless you, Lynne, and all your Family... Prayers of extreme Faith going to all of them and you.. Love you, Fran Danco
@@frandanco6289 thankyou so much for the beautiful words you have written to me. As Christians we need to light the way for future generations and keep God And Jesus alive. God bless you and your family too.
Now for Nathaniel, this scene hit hard for me. I so connected with him under that fig tree. "Can you hear me", "Do You See Me". "Speak To Me"! I've been down on my knees in prayer actually reciting these exact words. Asking Our Lord what his plan is for me because I don't understand how it's gone so wrong. Most of my family are in heaven, I've had cancer twice and now, I have incurable diseases, I'm Chronically ill and I'm in severe Chronic pain everyday. With tears in my eyes and rolling down my cheeks, I looked up and said "I don't understand" Lord please help me understand.
I loved the comment Philip makes to Nathanial about giving him his money back on his misery or however he says it. Great line. Another great one for a shirt.
Phillip was instantly one of my favorites.. I love how he takes Matthew under his wing. I love getting to know the disciples, “the set up”. You are all so amazing. I say this every time , this show has literally changed my life. 🙏
@@lisadyer7154 He sees you! In whatever situation or circumstance you're in, Jesus sees you. Those words were not just for Nathaniel but also for us. God is not limited by space or time.
Dallas, you commented at minute 13 that for some people this episode was not the most exciting for them whereas for others it could very well be the most impactful episode yet. When I told my son this episode had come out (he's watched them all as they come out), he watched it within the hour and then came over that evening (an hour drive) just to tell us just how much Nathaniel's scene under the tree and when he meets Jesus impacted him. My son has struggled with a very painful past of mistakes/hurt/abuse and finds it hard to forgive himself and to believe that God could forgive him. However, he told us that evening that as long as he lives he will never forget Jesus's words to Nathaniel in that scene, "When you were in your lowest moment, and you were alone, I did not turn my face from you; I saw you under the fig tree." My son said this episode redeemed him. Hallelujah!
Nathanael under the tree is *the* most impactful scene of The Chosen to me! I started writing a children’s novel/Christian allegory in Dec 2019. I wrote vigorously for 6 months straight, even watching Jerry Jenkins’ TH-cam videos for writing advice! So helpful and thankful for him. Then I literally could not write another word...mentally or physically. For 8 months, I cried out to God, like Dallas and Nathanael... “God, why have you silenced me? I’m doing this for you, your honor, your glory...why wouldn’t you bless my writing?” And then I watched this episode...all the tears and all the heart wrench! What a humbling reminder to know *God sees me*. I know He wants to bless my work. The next day, God spoke to me to read my manuscript. Not write, not edit - just read. Much like God relished in His creation on day 7, I found joy in my writing by just reading it! I finished reading my work and God said, “Read again.” 😄 So that’s where I’m at - blessed to serve a God whose ways and plans are higher than mine. Thankful for His patience with me and thankful for Dallas sharing his heartache with all of us. Huge high fives to Austin for an amazing portrayal!!!
That’s what I love about the show. Growing up I always pictured Bible characters as unemotional, even Jesus. Doing great things but with no emotion. But this show shows them all with every emotion...sad, happy ,joking and grouchy. Thank you for this show!!!
The series of scenes with Nathaniel was so powerful and relevant to each of our walks today. Most Christians, including myself, have cried out to Jesus at our most helpless point and felt the same emotions that we were not heard in that moment, yet we believe in Him and we submit to his will, knowing His plans are best. Then He shows us just how much He was listening. I don’t know if that scene would have been as powerful without Dallas’s personal experience with failure. His testimony is a light to others who are struggling.
I love the dynamic Phillip brings being a little further along than the rest of the disciples. It’s wonderful to see him taking on some of the discipleship duties.
Dallas you are a builder of characters in story form. It is absolutely amazing the gift of writing and producing that God has given you. Thank you for sharing your analogy of what you are doing. Dallas God has been with you from the beginning through what you thought was a failure, made the Chosen possible. I am grateful for it all. May God continue to show you His plan and keep you in a special place of understanding.
These are so great Dallas. Love these. May God continue to abundantly bless you, your family, the cast and crew. Because He has used all of you to bless us to overflowing.
Just re-watched episode 2, really love it. Really enjoyed the intro of Philip and even more Nathaniel. That end scene was so beautiful 😍 Love that Philip looks out for Matthew too.
“Come and see.” “Get used to different.” This is a time of “Do You see me?!?” I think I / we are every disciple at some point in our journeys.... Loved this episode!
Dallas thank you. I have found my answer to my struggle in your explanation and commentary on season 2. While introducing the character of Phillip and his relationship with Matthew, who is struggling with his own identity. What matters is the now in where we are in our journey and relationship with Jesus Christ, but somehow we are stuck in our past identity, which just cannot seem to drop off our back. Wow! Thank you.
I cannot wait for ep 4! I watch on the app so I can watch over and over on my break at work. Love them all. Personalities unfolding is captivating. And then there’s Jesus. So reassuring when he speaks. Such authority but such compassion. Jonathan nails it.
Favorite scene is when John as he writes, turns and looks out the window, on a stormy thundering night and looks at.........us! Two thousand years later and we are pulled into the story!
Once again, I cried as I have with every other episode. When Jesus walks past the crucified, the look in his eyes and on on his face. He saw and knew what he would suffer and the thought crushed my heart and that is what caused me to cry.
Every time a new episode is announced, I love getting comfy in my favorite chair and waiting for someone to tell me a story. Don't like chatting during story time, I might miss something. In fact, the only comments I might make are here on TH-cam. Deep breath Dallas. You're doing just fine.
Dallas' commentary on the episodes adds so much to the entire experience..I anticipate each one..there is a holiness interwoven in all of it. I have to say..I know I will be totally wrecked by how this comes together in the "end". Thank you. May all who are involved in the making of The Chosen be greatly blessed.
If he didn't die for us, where would we be. I'm right there with you. I cry often at the humanity of Jesus. This is unlike anything produced in the past except The Passion by mel gibson. This will impact people like never before. Maybe it will wake them up.
The Lord is not the Lord who will give your every need and desire, but the Lord who will lift you up out of this world into the eternal perfection of being with Him in eternal life.
@@jackie1973 Some, and sometimes many, of our desires He will change to what His desires are so that they line up with His character, nature, and eternal purposes.
One Time, I believed God, For A Particular Job. God Has Promised; "The Desire Of My Heart." I Never Got That Job. God Knew My Heart, Better, Than I Did.
I identified with Nathaniel, in the same way I identified with Dallas’ story when I watched it. That scene at the end got me. I watched it over and over. I was almost annoyed when Peter and Andrew interrupted! 😄
I like how you bring us through the plot journey in every episode Dallas. I agree with Dallas, fellow viewers, just watch the show and enjoy, let the Holy Spirit give the insight instead of trying to be apologists😊just let your heart be touched💖
Loved this episode. Phillip is so kind and caring. I love how he takes Matthew under his wing. Nathaniel’s heart for Hod and the scene with him meeting Jesus put me in tears! His face when Jesus was telling him that he saw him under the fig tree, put me tears and the presence of the Lord was all over it! Thank you Dallas! ❤️
This is such a powerful show! I really identified with him sitting under the tree, believing God wasn’t seeing him and that there was no meaning to his life. And then, he of course started his new journey right after. We are never alone, our pain will always be able to be a catalyst to turn into unfathomable joy and serenity in our lives. The best message ever. ✨
These are like gospel cliffhangers. It's good to have the ride without knowing the exact route. We'll be back for the next episode to see how we arrive to the next point !! Excellent writing enhances excellent acting. They are hand and glove. Can't have one without the other.
Philip is the perfect counter to Peter without being confrontational. Everyone's ideal big brother 💙 Genius what you are doing with character development, including Nathaniel.
My Catholic upbringing taught me about choosing a vocation, which is a service to God. Finding a vocation has always been an obsession, and not always a healthy one. Obsessing caused a lot stress and then my work quality got worse. My inability to deal with stress cost me jobs, health and friendships. Like Nathaniel I was upset and complained, not once but several times. When I was hard on myself, God sent compassionate people to me. Now, work and vocation looks and feels different. And it’s life giving and much healthier. It’s hard to look back and see how much pain my obsessing and stressing caused others.
One morning in 2018 I was struggling with health issues, trying to make it to the end of the year to retire......I read this scripture and it touched me deeply. I thought.....you “do” see me and my struggles! That stayed with me for a long time. I still think of it often. This scene was a beautiful depiction of the scripture and the actors did a fantastic job ! Thank you! I can’t stop watching!! ❤️❤️
"Can anything good come from Nazareth?" How many people think "I'm from a podunk town. No one has come out of here successfully"? God can use ANYONE no matter where you're from! What a great lesson to not limit God! ❤
This show is so beautifully written. The acting is very powerful. We absolutely love it. Developing the Characters is one of my favourite part of the Chosen. May God continue to abundantly bless this project, the cast and the crew. Thank you for this truly Anointed series. God bless you'll
A very beautiful and powerful episode - but then which of them are not ? The Nathaniel actor is very very expressive and you'd have to have a heart of stone to not feel his distress. The final scene just wallops you. Nathaniel's expression and wide eyed awe as Jesus told him "I saw you" etc had this crusty old man gulping back the tears. Which of us has not had a Nathaniel moment ? I just LOVE the final remark Jesus makes "Can you start tomorrow ?" and Nathaniel's face says back "Why not start now ?" Keep up the good work, Chaps. It means so much to so many world-wide. God be with you all.
Dallas, my husband and I love The Chosen!! And yes, we’re old...er and had a bit of trouble getting the app up and running on our tv but now we’re with you and up and running! Thank you! We have been so blessed by it all. We watch it over and over and learn something new every time! We pray for you all every day! God bless you all, thank you.
Mr. Dallas,, it's not always the "Big Moments" that make a program. It's the "Little Moments" that contribute to the "Big Moments" that leave people in "Awwwww". Our Lord has given you a special gift to bring this about to the world. God Bless you Sir.
I have watched episode two and three, three times each. They are my favorites so far. The spirit of the Lord is in this place. All Glory to the King of Kings.
1@ Jesus Never Calls Himself God The Bible (in spite of being changed and adulterated over time) contains many verses in which Jesus speaks of God as a separate person to himself. Here are just a few of them: When a man addressed Jesus as “Good Teacher”, he replied “Why do you call me good? No one is good except the one God.’’ [Mark 10:18] In another instance he says: “I can’t do anything by myself. Whatever I hear, I judge, and my judgment is just. I don’t seek my own will but the will of the one who sent me.” [John 5:30] Jesus speaks of God as a separate being to himself: I’m going up to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God. [John 20:17] In this verse he affirms that he was sent by God: This is eternal life: to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you sent. [John 17:3] If Jesus was God he would have told people to worship him, but he did the opposite and disapproved anyone worshipping him: And in vain they worship Me [Matthew 15:9] If Jesus claimed to be God than there should be hundreds of verses in the Bible which would have mentioned it. But there is not a single verse in the entire Bible in which Jesus says I am God, worship me
@@LMDFAITH u believe that Jesus pbuh is different God....and main God is different ......... But we muslims believe that Jesus,, Mohammed,,Adam pbut all...were the MESSENGER of God ........ The main message of all the prophets has always been that there is only One True God and He alone is to be worshipped. These prophets start with Adam and include Noah, Abraham, Moses, David, Solomon, John the Baptist, and Jesus, peace be upon them all. God says in the Holy Quran: “We did not send before you (O Muhammad) any messenger but We revealed to him: ‘none has the right to be worshipped except I, therefore worship Me.’” (Quran 21:25) ........so this world is the test to see whether person believe in one God and his final revel Quran,,,,also believe in his messenger and judgement day.......... ***************************************** The Quran informs us that we have a purpose in life, and that following God’s guidance will lead us to inner peace in this life, and Paradise in the hereafter. @@azeemahmad5918 I hear what you are saying but what Jesus did, was paid the penalty of mans sin. Noone on earth could do it, not one. Jesus is the passover lamb. He is the sacrifice worthy to God the Father. Just like Passover, the second death will pass over those who have the blood of Jesus on their hearts. God is Holy and can not be in the presence of sin therefore removing man from Himself forever, but Jesus paid the penalty of our crimes reconciling us back to the Father.
I believe in a three parts one God. Father, Son, Holy Spirit. I believe we will see Jesus coming on the clouds. God the father showed Himself as a cloud.
Love the entire Nathaniel scene....amazing how you are obviously receiving insight from God! I love getting to know the characters. That is crucial for touching hearts. Becomes more personal. I pray i am still alive as this continues....to end! I am a bit older than some. This is so excellent to look forward to. Thank you! God bless you!
This episode I've watched more than the others. The introduction of Nathaniel was so brilliant and flowed so beautifully. I loved what Nathaniel was wearing, the wardrobe dept. in the show is overlooked but is exceptional. This scene from the scene inside the formans office to the beautiful lighting in Nathaniel's apt to under the tree were unbelievably beautiful. The scene where they meet Jesus was stunning the set, lighting, timing, Austin is extraordinary & the look he gets when he realizes who Jesus is. His eyes were otherworldly. Love his character. Also when he tells Philip "that was dark man"! This episode was a favorite. Love Philip & his profound nuggets.
Matthew is one of my most favorite characters. I am OCD so I really relate with him. Also, there are many jokes that go over my head- I am nerdy. I embrace that about myself now🤓

@@azeemahmad5918 As you appear to be a Muslim in ideology with a limited understanding of scripture I can understand your comment. But Holy Scripture is replete with verses where Jesus states he is the Messiach of Israel, and declares himself equal with God. "Then the Jews said to Him, You are not 50 years old, and you have seen Abraham?! - Jesus said to them "Most assuredly I say to you, before Abraham was.. I AM". - John 8:58 That is a direct reference from the God in Exodus 3:14 to the Prophet Moses - The I AM that I AM. And one more: " I and the Father are One. Again the jews picked up stones to stone him, but Jesus said to them, "I have shown you many good work from the Father. For which if these do you stone me?" We are not stoning you for any good works, they replied but for blasphemy, because you a mere man, claim to be God". The jews understood him perfectly as making a claim to be God. That us why they attempted to kill him by stoning. They knew this was blasphemy unless you are God himself. Other direct claims: "For this reason they tried all the more to kill him, not only was he breaking the Sabbath, but he was calling God His Father, making himself equal with God".. - John 5:18 "The woman said, "I know that the Messiah (called Christ or the Son of God) us coming. When he comes, he will teach us all things". Then Jesus declared "I, the one speaking to you - I am He".. - John 4:26 Praise be unto Jesus, the Messiach - The Son Of God!
@@shanecreamer6889 Bible, in the Gospel of John, Ch. No.10, Verse No.30, which does say… ‘I and my father are one’. But when you ask the Christian missionaries, that… ‘What is the context?’ I have not yet met a Christian missionary, who can tell you the context without opening the Bible. So for the context, ‘I and my father are one’ - you have to go to the Gospel of John, Ch. No.10, Verse No. 23, and I am quoting from my memory, that ‘Jesus walked into the temple, in Solomon’s porch’. Verse No. 24 says, and the Jews came around him and asked him. ‘How long does thou make us doubt? - If thou art the Christ, tell us plainly’. Verse No.25 says, ‘I told you, but you believe me not - the works that I do in my father’s name, - they bear witness of me. Verse No.26 says that, ‘you believe not because you are not my sheep, as I said unto you’. The Jews, they are asking Jesus Christ (peace be upon him) that ‘Why don’t you speak plainly?’. So he tells them that…‘Yes I am the Messiah - I have told you clearly, but because you are not my sheep, you don’t believe in me. Verse No.27 continues…Jesus Christ (peace be upon him) continues saying that… ‘My sheep - they hear my voice, and I know them - and they follow me. Verse No.28, that… ‘I give them eternal life - no man can pluck them out of my hand, and they shall not perish’. Verse No.29 says ‘My father who giveth to me, He is greater than all - No man can pluck them out of my father’s hand.******************* *********Then Verse No. 30 says, ‘I and my father are one’ - ‘Any person who has little bit sense can make out, ‘I and my father are one’ doesn’t mean one - as one person. It means one is purpose. Verse No.28 says, ‘No man can pluck them out of my hand - Jesus Christ (peace be upon him) says- ‘No man can pluck them out of my hand’. Verse No.29 is saying. ‘No man can pluck them out of my father’s hand’. Verse No.30 says ‘I and my father are one’ -In purpose. Both Jesus Christ (peace be upon him) and Almighty God - they are one in purpose. If I say that my father is a doctor… and he is a doctor… Alhamdulillah - Even I am a medical doctor. If I say, ‘I and my father are one’ - What does it mean? It means one in purpose - As medical profession, my father is a doctor - Even I am a doctor. It doesn’t mean that ‘I and my father are one’. It means my father is a medical doctor - even I am a medical doctor. ******************************** *******But Christians say ‘No.. No - it means ‘one’ - actual Unity. So we say… ‘Okay, you say actual unity… let us read further’. If you go ahead in the Gospel of John, Ch. No.17, Verse No.21, it says that, Jesus Christ (peace be upon him) said that… ‘Ye all of them are one - My father in me, and I in thee, we all are one’. ‘Does it mean that God Almighty, is in Jesus Christ… and Jesus Christ is in all his 12 disciples. So there will be 14 gods - Jesus Christ, God Almighty, and 12 disciples. The same ‘one’ is used there, and here. If you go to the source, the same word is used - If you go to the Greek… the same word is used - So does it mean you have 14 gods? And among those disiples, Judas was a traitor -. Even he is God? Thomas doubted Jesus Christ (peace be upon him ) - is he God? - ‘Peter’ - Jesus Christ says … ‘is satanic?’- Is he also God? No, - all of them, God Almighty - Jesus Christ and the Apostles, are one in purpose - they are same. Again if you go 2 verses ahead - Gospel of John, Ch. 17, Verse 23, says that, ‘I am in thee, and you are in me’… he tells the disciples. Does it make all them God? No! It means one in purpose. But then Christians will say, ‘I have quoted the first part… why don’t you quote after that… after Verse No.30 - Gospel of John Chapter 10. Lets go ahead - Gospel of John, Ch. No. 10, Verse No.31. says, ‘And Jews picked up stones again, to stone at Jesus (peace be upon him) Verse No. 32, says… ‘And Jesus (peace be upon him) asked them - for which of the good works of my father, do you stone me?’ Verse No. 33, says that…‘We don’t’ stone you for any good works, but because you blashpheme - being a man, you call yourself God - that is why we stone you’. Verbatim…I am reading from my memory - Any person who wants to check up, can check up. It is there in the Bible - Gospel of John, Ch. 10, Verse 23 onwards… I am quoting. So Jesus Christ (peace be upon him) gives the answer - the Jews say that see he is trying to blaspheme, calling himself ‘God’. Good riddance - they want to kill him - good riddance. The Christians say ooh! the Jews called him God Almighty - See they understood him correctly - for redemption. One wants for redemption - they are calling him God - the other group of people for good riddance. But the answer is given in the next verse - Verse no. 34, of John Ch. 10, Gospel of John, Ch. 10, says that…‘Is it not mentioned in your Scriptures that ye are gods? - and if the person to whom the word’ of God came … if he says… ‘god’ - the Scripture is not broken. If you check up in the Bible, in the Psalms, Ch. No. 82, Verse No.6, does say that, ‘Ye are gods’. So Jesus Christ gave the answer, that the person to whom the ‘Word’ of God came, if you call him ‘God’, it is not blaspheme. It is meaning that… they are one in purpose. Hope that answers the question.
It would be a long post if I told you all the things I love about The Chosen! “Come and see” says it in just a few words. Jesus Christ changes lives, saves souls. Thank you, Dallas, and all your associates for this amazing call to “Come and see” Him! ❤️
Just one day before watching this episode, I was sitting in a park near my house doing the same as Nathaniel ... I was (and am) having a difficult professional moment in which my professional dreams are about to be destroyed . I offered to make a new website for my local church, much better than the one they have, in order to attract new faithful to the congregation, but they refused to accept my proposal. While I was praying in the park, sitting under some trees, I complained to God about my bad luck, and I asked him to speak to me. When I saw this episode I thought that somehow God was speaking to me.
An incredible shot was when Nathaniel was under the tree pouring the ashes over his head, Akis does a quick long shot of Nathaniel & the ashes we see slightly blow in the wind. A visual nugget I loved.
Yes....Philip "truth bombs"! Perfect! Yoshi and Austin did an outstanding job in their first episodes. Can't wait to see more! The ending scene was so beautiful! Dallas, you're a rock star!
I can relate to Nathaniel's cry out to the Lord under the tree..cz evn i used to call to the Lord and cry when i encounter tough times..but He never fails to listen to my call and He always answers to me in a marvelous way. I love you Jesus!
Nathanial meeting Jesus the first time was one of the most emotional scenes for me.....i have watched it over and over! I have shared the Chosen with many of my friends and family...keep up the great work, it is a wonderful ministry.....
Love The Chosen..and I pray that you go all the way to the end of the BIBLE with the way you teach us how can you not! ...every episode touches my heart one way or another...tears flow from my eyes all the time... Especially with Nathaniel under the tree...💜 Thank you Dallas for all you are doing for GODS PEOPLE!!
Sounds like life. People want to take less time to "Know" someone and move straight to the "living" or " doing" life. But, knowing someone adds to the "making more sense" of life or every day episodes. Learning about the "why, how, where, when" reasons of someone's actions or reactions to life definitely brings understanding which makes life a bit easier to navigate. Also, "knowing" a person enlightens their purpose or passions in life. Oh there is so much to setting up characters, connecting the dots, identifying with the characters. I LOVE EVERY. SINGLE. MINUTE of the show. Would NOT change a thing!!!! I'm here to enjoy all of it!!! I'm here allowing it to bring MORE to my own understanding. Beautiful in EVERY way!
The very first thing that shook me about The Chosen is character development. So happy to hear you explain it. I love how intentional the writing and directing are. Thank you!
Even if this was not THE greatest story ever told, and I didn't already know The Truth, and love Christ, it would be the most fantastic program to watch. This show is so in-depth, and the level of care and consideration shown to forming the characters so that their personalities shine through for viewers is absolutely incredible. I know God is in this.
I loved this whole episode! Nathaniel's arc is so good, I almost wish you could have dragged it out over more episodes like you did with the other disciples in Season 1. The settings and lighting were so beautiful, especially the fig tree and then the ending. And more scenes with Matthew! The scene where he draws the circle on the ground got me so hard. I feel "outside the circle" all the time. I love all the character dynamics and tension, but whenever someone is mean to Matthew I want to hug him. At least Phillip and Mary Magdalene being nice, and I'm so looking forward to the episode where Jesus prepares the Sermon on the Mount with him!
Love the commentary Dallas. Like our own behind the scenes moment. This series has absolutely captivated my heart ❤️. Praying for The Chosen cast and donating as I am able. God bless you all
Dallas you are truly gifted and it's amazing to see the way that our Heavenly Father is working through you. Keep up the great work you are touching a lot of people.
Dallas This really spoke loud to me in regards to failure. I gave up being a videographer for people told me I’m too old or that I don’t have an eye. I really appreciate you so much. Just wished I could have been around a crew like yours
@Victor, I know you're trusting God and he will surely make his will come to pass in your life. If that desire was of God, trust me - it will come to pass in an unexpected way 😃 God's comfort and strength will overcome all your failures and disappointments. Amen😇
I enjoy reading everyone's comments. So cool to see God working in our lives even when we can't see it or feel it at times. Beautiful shows. Great job Dallas and All!!! Jesus loves you and so do I!!❤
We are totally enjoying how you are taking time to introduce new people, new disciples. And seeing how everyone has unique gifts to bring into the ministry Our Lord is building up. All the actors and actresses are perfect for their roles! Sets, costumes, and music are so incredibly real! We are so excited to watch Episode 4 tonight! Thank you Dallas and Team!
Always great to hear from you director Dallas. I shall now head on to watch Ep 1 and 2 of Season, binging on all 8 impactful episodes at one go in Season 1 😅
One of my favorite parts in the Nathaniel episode was when Jesus says “Don’t look at him, look at me”- the look every time someone sees into Jesus, is when they are transformed. Jesus lives in our very hearts, and when we look deep within, we will be awakened to the Kingdom of heaven, so following him is an inward spiritual journey. I love how you incorporate the spiritual side of Jesus with the “look” with every disciple. That look is where the magic happens and is very important. Words or long sermons or miracles are not even necessary when you can turn inside with faith and look just once fully at Him. And I agree Dallas about commenting/chatting during episodes- that’s why I watch the series alone without other people constantly making commentaries on every single thing. I want to absorb and feel the series for myself. Though I would love to share with others, I see these reaction videos of constant talking and I wonder what is the point if you’re not truly absorbed? Otherwise, I would have missed the incredible feeling of brotherly bond and that musical masterpiece that was season 2 Episode 4- that part where Simon Z sees Jesse dancing and his expressions and the hug and the music- it reminds me of how much love I can have for my own sister- how much my heart can open for her and all of my brothers. I love Philip too as he is wise and friendly and experienced, and is more of a natural leader, rather than trying to force his hand. And he lends his hand to the underdog Matthew who is an outcast in the group- that is what Jesus would have done, showed compassion. I am only understanding the little things throughout the episodes after seeing each one 4 or 5 times. But it makes it richer every time. And each episode has a different flavor, almost a different style which I really appreciate but don’t know how to explain. I think I’ve binged the series 3 or 4 times already, but there is no limit. That part where Nathaniel comes and sees Jesus in the night was so so powerful- all the lanterns lit, it felt so cozy like he was being held as he has tears in his eyes and is ready to just surrender to the Messiah, though his old (ego) self died of hubris! I just loved this series has so much heart. I cried so much every time I see someone giving their life to Jesus. Because it feels like me over and over every time. It’s like a reaffirmation and a remembering of the Kingdom of Heaven which we have forgotten. I remember a little more every time my heart opens, and I am so grateful. It’s funny I have recommended this show to Christians and I received a standoffish reaction- I’m not sure why and I didn’t want to pry. I am not even Christian according to the world- but I am a follower of Jesus and his teachings (A course in Miracles) and I will support any effort that is done by the Holy Spirit.
It made my day to find out there will be Deep Dives for Season 2! I have loved watching Season 1 over and watching each corresponding deep dive. I so appreciate the insight and historical context that the consultants bring to the table.
Thank you GOD BLESS
God’s with you, amen! Thank you for being open and sharing
keep hanging in there, i have been going thru many struggles and one thing i need to do is put Jesus yoke upon me and sleep when it feels unbearable. if you ever need to talk you are more than welcome to get in touch with me. we got to hold hand in these last days with Jesus and us who are wanting to follow Him. sheri
the scene came so close to me, and how I feel that I am not worthy...but I feel as Matthew does, with drawing the circle in the gound, and then, Thats me, outside... That has been ME all my life, as throw away ever since I was born, and how I still feel, at the age of 67..still feeling like a throw away, BUT I know God is with me, more than I thought he was..
Love Phillip's entrance. And just attitude in general.
Me too!😊
I showed The Chosen to my 80 year old grandma who grew up under Soviet occupation and she was so moved and felt like the Scripture has come alive finally. It was the most beautiful thing to experience. So thankful there are language options so she could hear it and enjoy it fully. God, bless The Chosen team!
WOW!! That is WONDERFUL ♥ God Bless your Grandma~
I love that! Shalom
Amen
Commenting from the tiny island of Saipan in the middle of the Pacific Ocean...... please keep the series going !!! Your work has reached us this far! GLORIFY GOD IN ALL THAT YOU DO
Love the way Phillip takes Matthew under his wing. Phillip doesn’t let Matthew’s oddity repel him...he has the love of Christ in his heart ❤️
That means so much, thank you!
@@TheChosenSeries love you so much.....
Wow such a touching testimony and I’m so happy I read all the way through it. I can feel the weight of your sons pain being lifted. I don’t know how, but I do. This is by far my favorite scene and the most holy. God has truly blessed the Chosen and in turn blessed us. 💟✝️💟
I cried so hard with Nathaniel's scene and his being called
Developing the characters is my favorite part of The Chosen. Thank you Holy Spirit for guiding Dallas. Your timing is perfect!
Love you,
Fran Danco
Jesus is calling you. Thank you for sharing. God is AMAZING 💜✝️💜
@Lynne Gulbrand. Oh dear Lynne. Jesus wants to be your rock, your rock of salvation, so that no matter what happens, you will stand firmly in Him.
@@frandanco6289 thankyou so much for the beautiful words you have written to me. As Christians we need to light the way for future generations and keep God And Jesus alive. God bless you and your family too.
@@jojotrommlerExtraBougEe He called and I answered. Praise the Lord.
My favorite episode! It emphasizes my recent life, and He saw me. May God bless this project abundantly. Prayers for everyone and Shalom!
that line of Jesus, "I saw you"...😭🙏🙏
I wish he would see me
@@lisadyer7154 He is...
@@mindyourown1898 Thank you
Yes, yes, yes, "I never left you, I saw you under the fig tree"... POWERFUL!!!
Hallelujah!
The mystery and majesty of Episode 2 explained- a great treat for us here on Mother's Day. This episode is a favorite here!
I’m doing this for you, your honor, your glory...why wouldn’t you bless my writing?”
And then I watched this episode...all the tears and all the heart wrench! What a humbling reminder to know *God sees me*. I know He wants to bless my work.
The next day, God spoke to me to read my manuscript. Not write, not edit - just read. Much like God relished in His creation on day 7, I found joy in my writing by just reading it! I finished reading my work and God said, “Read again.” 😄
So that’s where I’m at - blessed to serve a God whose ways and plans are higher than mine.
I thoroughly enjoyed this episode. I felt for Nathaniel and I really like Philip. Love the way he treats Matthew. I have a real soft spot for Matthew.
I think I'm going to cry through all 7 seasons. This is so powerful!
Can't wait for Season 2 : Episode 4
Every when the episodes come out?
My fav episode so far is episode 4 of season two!!
The story of Nathaniel and especially the part where he encounters Jesus, is my favourite part of Episode 2.
These are so great Dallas. Love these. May God continue to abundantly bless you, your family, the cast and crew. Because He has used all of you to bless us to overflowing.
Yes, abundantly! Amen. 💥🙏💫
Just re-watched episode 2, really love it. Really enjoyed the intro of Philip and even more Nathaniel. That end scene was so beautiful 😍 Love that Philip looks out for Matthew too.
I can't thank The Chosen team enough for bringing us this series. I am so blessed to be able to pay it forward so others can watch it.
Wow! Thank you.
I absolutely loved the way Nathaniel was brought in. My favorite episode so far. "Can you start tomorrow?"
I watch more than once. Each time, I learn something new each time. I love it!
The lord will not give me every need and desire…. I’m taking notes. Thanks for the tip.
Need, yes...desire? Yes, but not always how we expect
@@jackie1973 Some, and sometimes many, of our desires He will change to what His desires are so that they line up with His character, nature, and eternal purposes.

I love episode 2 and really appreciate your insights. Who am I kidding...i love every episode of both seasons! Awesome. Thank you, Dallas! ❤️
Dallas! When will I stop crying at the mere memory of those scenes of Nathaniel's inner battle and the final scene? Those hit me hard.

This tv series is so needed and wanted
Thank you for this truly anointed series . God bless you
My Catholic upbringing taught me about choosing a vocation, which is a service to God.
I just LOVE the final remark Jesus makes "Can you start tomorrow ?" and Nathaniel's face says back "Why not start now ?"
Keep up the good work, Chaps.
Ugh the lighting of that last scene is so beautiful and makes it all the more impactful ❤
Thank you for doing this Dallas. Thank you for sharing your talents and gifts with the world in a positive way. You impact so many. Good job.
I have watched episode two and three, three times each. They are my favorites so far. The spirit of the Lord is in this place. All Glory to the King of Kings.
1@ Jesus Never Calls Himself God
The Bible (in spite of being changed and adulterated over time) contains many verses in which Jesus speaks of God as a separate person to himself. Here are just a few of them:
When a man addressed Jesus as “Good Teacher”, he replied “Why do you call me good? No one is good except the one God.’’ [Mark 10:18]
In another instance he says: “I can’t do anything by myself. Whatever I hear, I judge, and my judgment is just. I don’t seek my own will but the will of the one who sent me.” [John 5:30]
Jesus speaks of God as a separate being to himself: I’m going up to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God. [John 20:17]
In this verse he affirms that he was sent by God: This is eternal life: to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you sent. [John 17:3]
If Jesus was God he would have told people to worship him, but he did the opposite and disapproved anyone worshipping him: And in vain they worship Me [Matthew 15:9]
If Jesus claimed to be God than there should be hundreds of verses in the Bible which would have mentioned it.

God says in the Holy Quran:
“We did not send before you (O Muhammad) any messenger but We revealed to him: ‘none has the right to be worshipped except I, therefore worship Me.’” (Quran 21:25)
........so this world is the test to see whether person believe in one God and his final revel Quran,,,,also believe in his messenger and judgement day..........

The Quran informs us that we have a purpose in life, and that following God’s guidance will lead us to inner peace in this life, and Paradise in the hereafter. And that rejection of his message will lead to depression in this life and Hellfire after death.
Love!! The background music when Jesus does his parts!! It feels like angels are around him.
Psalms 66:5
Come and see what God has done
Matthew is one of my most favorite characters. I am OCD so I really relate with him. Also, there are many jokes that go over my head- I am nerdy. I embrace that about myself now🤓
1@ Jesus Never Calls Himself God
But there is not a single verse in the entire Bible in which Jesus says I am God, worship me
@@azeemahmad5918 As you appear to be a Muslim in ideology with a limited understanding of scripture I can understand your comment.
I AM". - John 8:58
That is a direct reference from the God in Exodus 3:14 to the Prophet Moses - The I AM that I AM.
And one more:
" I and the Father are One.
Other direct claims:
"For this reason they tried all the more to kill him, not only was he breaking the Sabbath, but he was calling God His Father, making himself equal with God".. - John 5:18
"The woman said, "I know that the Messiah (called Christ or the Son of God) us coming. When he comes, he will teach us all things". Then Jesus declared "I, the one speaking to you - I am He".. - John 4:26
Praise be unto Jesus, the Messiach - The Son Of God!
********************************
*******But Christians say ‘No..
Mr Jenkins, you have a gold mine I absolutely love it it brings me to tears. God bless the work of your hands.
Dallas you should be so proud of yourself, you are changing people's lives!! Peace be with you friend!
Thank you for your careful and "slow cooking" (as it were) efforts.
I'm grateful for this opportunity to change your plans for His! 😊❤️🕊️✝️✡️
Philip is like the youth pastor of the group!
That is hysterical... and probably true! LolL!
That’s perfect! Yes! Ha ha. He’s totally the youth pastor.
An incredible shot was when Nathaniel was under the tree pouring the ashes over his head, Akis does a quick long shot of Nathaniel & the ashes we see slightly blow in the wind. A visual nugget I loved.
My favorite episode so far Season 2 Episode 2...made me cry and I loved the conversation between John & Mary
Yes....Philip "truth bombs"! Perfect! Yoshi and Austin did an outstanding job in their first episodes. Can't wait to see more! The ending scene was so beautiful! Dallas, you're a rock star!
He saw me. And He saw you. Praise Him.
I like Philip , MM,Matt, Simon, Andrew, and sons of thunder. I really identify with Nathaniel’s prayer under the tree.
Love Philip! Love Nathaniel...love them all! Great job! Love The Chosen...cant wait to see more episodes...thank you Dallas...
Love Phillip and his introduction to episode 2 Love his mature attitude. Loved his conversation with Nathaniel and his comment “Come and See”
I can relate to Nathaniel's cry out to the Lord under the tree..cz evn i used to call to the Lord and cry when i encounter tough times..but He never fails to listen to my call and He always answers to me in a marvelous way.
You Interpretation of why Nathaniel was so touched by "I saw you under the fig tree", is the best I ever heard or read of!
BRINGING SO MANY TO CHRIST! GREAT JOB. JESUS IS PLEASED 💜✝️💜
Thank you for these reviews and looking forward to the Bible Roundtables!! God bless you Dallas!!
We are Surly Paying Attention to every seen of The Chosen! For Surely! Very Interesting! Blessings, Nerry Jimenez
Love the commentary Dallas. Like our own behind the scenes moment. This series has absolutely captivated my heart ❤️. Praying for The Chosen cast and donating as I am able.
God bless you all

This really spoke loud to me in regards to failure.
