    I just watched season 3 episode 4 I cried my eyes out. When I did I asked that my son be healed from alcohol and drugs. My faith was so high. Then I watched season 3 episode 5. My heart was beating so hard. May all our prays be answered. God bless everyone

    Here’s calling the attention of The Chosen Director Mr. Dallas Jenkins... I’m an avid follower of The Chosen tv series. Mr. Conrad Robbins is doing a good job in making me , and I’m sure most people, to fully understand our faith in God. Thru his vlogs, I am able to appreciate The Chosen tv series coz I get to know more about the Bible... I just wish this very knowledgeable blogger Mr. Brandon Robbins is given his own platform to spread the Gospel to more people. Thank you Mr Robbins for a job well done👏👏👏👍👍👍🌝. More power to your channel.

      @@emilyraines6106 Read the old book from the '70s or '80s by Dr. William Steuart McBirnie called The Search For The Twelve Apostles. Here is a link to a revised version that I do not know much about the revisions, but the old books are cheaper and easy to find used. I found it interesting, but keep in mind that for some of the 12 Apostles it is more traditional handed down stories than verified by historians. John, Peter and Paul are fairly easy and of course, the Apostle James the son of Zebedee and brother of John was killed in Acts by Herod. Did you know Doubting Thomas was martyred in India? Also the Church of St. Thomas Syro-Malabar still exists to this day and even Wikipedia has a lengthy article on it.

    I really like what your video states. I feel down as you stated wondering like Simon Peter why would Jesus want me. When I look at Simon I go that's my character somewhat not always doing the right things and trying to fix all that I messed up! In these times as in those days of the Disciples I think they knew the risks of what they took on especially Simon. Yet, Jesus Messiah does forgive, he does love us he does so because of our belief in him and because we are his children. I don't think he expects us to be perfect as we wouldn't expect our children to be. This is why he forgives us if we ask. This is the greatest love of all! I believe in Jesus Messiah with all my heart and am a leader like Simon Peter even if he denied him 3 times. Jesus Christ still loved him and forgave him. I don't understand why it's so hard for people not to get saved when all you need is to believe as it's written in scriptures. How can anyone deny his love? When you think about it the gift of salvation is free to all who want that love and even if Simon Peter and John were arrgomattes they understood. God Bless you all. "Jesus answered I am the way the truth and the life. "🌼🌻🦋💖

Thank you for sharing this message Brandon Robbins. I have a question, was Peter a descendent of Benjamin or from the tribe of Benjamin? I have looked in the Bible in it that it's not clearly say from what tribe Peter is from.

    In the study of Luke a few years back, I noticed it said Pilate asked a third time who the crowd wanted. Third time again the crowd denied Jesus and said Barabas. I got thinking of Peter's 3 denials and Jesus' 3 Do you love me ? God showed me it had to be 3. You can't just deny one part of the Trinity. The Father, Son and Holy Spirit are one. To deny one you deny all three. Thus, 3 questions of who from Pilate, 3 denials from Peter and 3 Do you love me from Jesus.

    Having gone to Catholic school, I look to Simon-Peter in the series with very special attention. I see this brash, sometimes silly but harsh guy and just know - 'this is the guy who's going to become the first Pope. This is the leader of the Church. Woah.' Jesus certainly didn't use the 'best' people for their roles, but through Him they BECAME the best at their roles! Sounds like Simon and Matthew become friends in the end if Matthew speaks so highly of him lol.

      It was his faith , Peter's faith he was talking about when stating " I will build my church upon this rock " not Peter the person , but his faith , it is the same faith as the woman who had been bleeding for 12 years ,

    • @SafeGuardYourSoul
      @SafeGuardYourSoul 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The roman catholic church is a pagan, antichrist cult and what you stated was just one of their many heresies. WHO IS THE ONLY ROCK? "For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, WHICH IS JESUS CHRIST (not peter)." 1 Corinthians 3:11
      IS PETER THE ROCK?: "And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and THAT ROCK WAS CHRIST." 1 Corinthians 10:4
      Greek for "rock" is petros which means little rock or pebble
      Jesus is the foundation, the only Rock .... "And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets (whom God gave us His written Word through), Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone (foundation)." (Ephesians 2:20) .... The term "apostles and prophets" refers to the Holy Scriptures that they were moved upon by the Holy Spirit to give us. It refers to the written Word.
      WHO IS YOUR ROCK? Christ was not saying that peter or any mere man was the Rock .... that would blatantly contradict His own Word .....
      There's no such thing as a "pope" in Christ's kingdom. Such a title or office appears nowhere in Scripture. Peter was a Jewish apostle of Jesus, not a pope of Rome. Peter wrote 8 chapters at the end of the New Testament canon and never mentioned that he was a "pope." Surely he would have known if he was the first "pope." Pure fiction. The office of the "pope" is the seat of antichrist. Run for your life.

    I have been using you comments on The Chosen series as part of my showings of episodes at my church. People tell me they come to watch those as much as the episodes. They tell me they can stay hom a watch The Chosen, but they enjoy your explanations and background info too.
    A question Brandon. When Jesus tells Peter "..upon THIS ROCK I will build my Church" wasn't Jesus referring to Peter statement "You are the Christ..."? He doesn't say 'Upon YOU I will build my Church". Isn't it Peter's statement "You are the Christ...." what is our Christian foundation NOT Simon Peter? We stand on Christ the Solid Rock, not Peter the expounder on the Gospel.

    17/07/2121 A more in depth understanding of Jesus and His life may be gained by reading the writings of mystic Maria Valtorta, from Italy who wrote thousands of pages whilst confined to bed by disease.. Her writings are so descriptive re nature, weather, landscape etc so much so that places would be can be identified by her descriptions. There are so many non biblical stories in these writings they are impossible to refute! PETER the FIRST Pope gave up his life by being crucified but asked to be hung upside down as he didn't want to die the same as Jesus. Prayers for all to understand. God's bless from The Great South land; Land of The Holy Spirit.

    Wait, Maybe I have this wrong. Wasn't Peter's father, or uncle, involved with the Temple in Jerusalem? Had to do a turn of service there? Wasn't that why Peter was able to slip into an inner courtyard when the Sanhedrin had Yeshua? I understand the Galileans were considered rough people, Hill people, in that they were known for an 'independent' spirit, in that it was an area known for breeding rebels, many of them in the Jewish Wars. Peter's family and some of the Disciples, weren't they in the fishing cooperative on the Sea? All that suggests to me some literacy. ? Enjoying very much your fleshing out the time and the people!

    A couple of interesting points (perhaps you can flesh them out in future):
    Jesus tells Simon, "you are Πέτρος"
    04074 G4074 Πέτρος Petros pet'-ros
    Apparently a primary word; a (piece of) rock (larger than G3037); as a name Petrus an apostle: - Peter rock. Compare G2786.
    03037 G3037 λίθος lithos lee'-thos
    Apparently a primary word; a stone (literally or figuratively): - (mill- stumbling-) stone.
    02786 G2786 Κηφᾶς Kēphas kay-fas'
    Of Chaldee origin (compare [H3710]);
    the Rock;
    Cephas (that is Kepha) surname of Peter: - Cephas.
    03710 H3710 כּף kêph kafe
    From H3721; a hollow rock: - rock.
    (I can't help but notice the 3 7 10 involved, here ;-) )
    Then says, "and on this πέτρα I will build my church..."
    04073 G4073 πέτρα petra pet'-ra
    Feminine of the same as G4074; a (mass of) rock (literally or figuratively): - rock.
    There is an interesting contrast between the two words. Though one is the feminine of the other, one, here is defined as a piece of rock (even a hollow rock, from H3710), while the other is a mass of rock, and they were literally standing in front of a mass of rock. Also, in times past, that cave had been known as The Gates of Hell/Hades.
    The second point is in that closing scene in the Gospel of John. The first two times Jesus questions Simon, He asks him if he αγαπας Jesus, and both times Simon responds by saying that he φιλω Jesus. The third time Jesus challenges Simon at his own level, asking if he φιλεις Jesus, and Simon responds that Jesus knows he φιλω Him.
    I almost never hear any teacher address that last contrast. They just skate over it like it's not there.
    Well, it looks like I might have given you 2 videos to do. But, as I wrote, above, "in future".

      That's interesting - I'll be diving into those differences (rock).
      I was reading a commentary on the "do you love me" conversation. John had also interchanged these in 16:27 & 17:23. Makes it harder to know if the change is significant, but the 3 times would have certainly both reminded Peter of his denials, and given him the chance to reaffirm his love. Regardless, it was his call - if you love me, shepherd my flock. That moment had to be life-altering for him.
      Before the denial - before Peter was so completely broken over denying Christ - he thought he was ready. In the passage in Luke, Jesus even reverted back to calling him Simon. He wasn't ready *yet*, but he would be. He would never forget that lesson & failure, or the call to shepherd, evident in 1 Peter 5. His absolute love was evident in the rest of his life.

    Jesus is God and he made Peter the Rock and built his Church on him.... sometimes people don't get the most simple interpreted of the Bible but rather make it more harder to understand, they instead of saying and accept that Peter is the Rock that the Lord built his church on, they sidestep and say Jesus is Rock and Peter blah blah blah.... please dont mix up the interpretation because when God said this, he meant it, God is not a God of confusion, is the servant of confusion so Peter was referring by the blessed Lord as the Rock and he gave him the authority of his Church and the key etc

      Just for your information, Catholics are not Christians. Orthodoxes, Methodists, Jehovah Witnesses, Mormons, etc... aren't Christians either.
      Why?
      - Each of them have beliefs, teachings, ideologies and practices that are NOT in the Bible. A.K.A., doing what they want.
      - It is impossible for Catholics, Orthodoxes, Mormons, Methodists, Jehovah Witnesses, etc... to end up in the same place (Heaven) if they all have different beliefs, teachings, practices, and ideologies.
      For example, Catholics believes that Mary is a virgin, which isn't true. If you actually read the Bible (not the Catholic edition) you would know that Mary had other children with Joseph. Therefore, Mary was not a virgin.
      - Mary is NOT the mother of GOD. Catholics praise Mary as if she is the creator and the mother of GOD. But, GOD doesn't have a mother, He created all humans, including Mary.
      Mary was the mother of Jesus here on earth, that is it. She was just chosen from the other virgins.
      - Catholics confess their sins to pope/priests instead of to GOD/family/friends/the person you hurt. The priest/Pope is not GOD, you can come to GOD directly.
      - You guys have images/statues in your church of "saints", when clearly in one of the Ten Commandments it says in Exodus 20:4 says:
      Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, *or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above* , *or that is in the earth beneath* , *or that is in the water under the earth" .
      - You guys pray to an image of "Jesus Christ" when you shouldn't pray to any image or have any necklaces. Exodus 20:5 says:
      *Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them* , *nor serve them* : for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
      - You guys baptise children, when I think they should be baptised when they give their life to Jesus Christ, A.K.A. being a new creature in Christ.
      - You guys have the 7 sins or something like that which ISN'T in the Bible.

      @@TedEhioghae The Bible of which you refer to which is the Word of God, was compiled by the Catholic Church. Catholics are the Christian Church, the Church established by Jesus Christ. Man throughout history has proclaimed some heresies and differences of doctrine which culminated in the Protestant Reformation. All Catholics recognize the Protestant denominations that are trinitarian, in other words, the Catholic Church recognizes the one baptism into the Church proclaimed in the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, using water. There are doctrinal and dogmatic differences beyond that, however, Catholics believe that all are saved through Jesus Christ according to God's judgment alone, and we can only know the Father through the Son. We have a very intimate and personal relationship with Jesus Christ, through whom the Father is revealed. The purpose of baptism is far deeper than a choice or acceptance of Jesus. All children are created in the image a nd likeness of God, and therefore deserve to become members of His flock as soon as possible, as baptism sanctifies us and removes original sin, although leaving the effects behind (concupiscence). Many of your proclamations about the Catholic Church stated above are misconceptions, and dialoguing about the differences directly with a well-educated Catholic is best. Many Catholics do not know their faith, likely because there was a period in history when they were discouraged from reading the Bible, after the Protestant Reformation. This is no longer the case. We know the Scriptures very well, and to develop a deep, and intimate relationship with Jesus is best aided by His Word, as He is the Word (John, Chapter 1). God bless you, and I look forward to knowing you in heaven someday!
