Definetely one of my 100 (premade fathers) baby daddies. He made a very attractive, if extremely pale, daughter with my sim. I needed mega cheats for this baby.
I LOVE that the Night Wraith’s status is actually a TRAIT, and so I can put it on other Sims using cheats :)
Uh, I'm surprised you didn't mention Bonehilda's sister (Temperance) from the Paranormal Stuff pack since she has the Curse of the Night Wraith trait.

There's a cheat code that can turn your sim into a night wraith.
It makes them deeply sad forever, but also turns them into a blue ghost and electric sparklers comes out of their eyes, just like the original (but with your sim physical appearance). It is quite interesting to think that maybe the night wraith *was* a sim before it was turned into what it is now.
Usually when I want to create a cursed, but playable, sim, I tend to put this cheat on him and make him torment everyone around him.
Or I'll create a random sim and put the curse so they are stalked by the night wraith lol

I was doing an occult baby challenge, and for my Sim's child with Guidry, I gave her this trait. As a toddler, she could "talk about death" to the adults around her, which was always a great time
I hear the cheat also works on pets!
One of my sim’s kids glitched into being a night wraith and it was. Interesting.

tbh you can do most of that with all special sims - as they work based on special hidden or less hidden trait
I had a Night Wraith with a spellcaster when the game first came out. It was DEVASTATING because she had a toddler at the time as well. Mama was not getting a SECOND of rest

I didn’t even know this exists. Realm of Magic would probably benefit from some actual incentive to push limits other than to torture your Sim - it’s far too easy to avoid curses. So apparently there are more possible curses than I was even aware of. 🤷🏼♀️
To help your anxiety, an upside down cross is not bad. It’s a symbol of humility and is St. Peters cross. Although it can be used as a way to deny Christianity, it depends on context.
Came across him doing a short supernatural challenge. my sim started in a witches cottage with a grave and ghostly haunting. Ever the convoluted and epic story teller, my sim went on a resurrection and rejuvenation quest to bring back the ghost who captured his heart. Little did I know that she died due to some unfortunate curse related issue that upon resurrection she was still being in affected. I spent days trying to figure out why she was so tired and couldn't sleep (having never really played the rom pack I wasn't really familiar with curses). And then this spooky fudger shows up and I think the house got s new much creepier ghost to haunt it. I MC banished him, deleted him, and added him to my family, killed him and released his spirit trying to get this weird ghost to go away, meanwhile my SIM wife I am desperately trying to keep alive due to what I was thinking was an out of date mod trying to kill her as I did a full cleanse of 23g of mods to try to find what was breaking. When I finally figured out what was happening I spent more time having her level up she potion skill so she could learn the potion to remove the curse because I didn't realize you could buy it in the whims store. Fml I haven't felt so bamboozled my Sims in ages.

According to the lore behind werewolves, vampires, and spellcasters; vampires are the result of spellcasters using duplicato on themselves and then [through some unavailable to the player means] made the clone permanent, and, not wanting to care for them, gave them a dependency on potions which apparently backfired or just went horribly.
My question is; if the very first vampires were corrupted spellcaster clones, what is vlad? Someone who got turned, or one of the originals? If he's one of the original corrupted duplicates, what happened to the spellcaster he came from originally?
okay the amount of night my ENTIRE life I've spent too terrified to go to sleep...too relatable...I have a habit now that I formed as a young child where I make a little cradle with my blanket around my head, like making walls out of the blanket so I simply CANNOT SEE therefore I cannot be SEEN.

My little girl dreamt that a ghost put a finger in her ear, so for years and years she had to sleep on her side so one ear was protected by the pillow, and then something like a blanket or stuffed toy would go over her other ear. And she couldn't sleep facing the wall, because that was the wall the ghost came out of 🤦

I'm so surprised that you didn't know about this. You know the night wraith is kind of like a dementor. It is also a combination of a ghost, spellcaster and vampire, which I found intriguing when I first found out. Although now that we know from the werewolves lore that vampires came from spellcasters just as werewolves do, it makes so much more sense. It is another consequence of a spell going wrong. Hmm I wonder if anyone has tried adding the night wraith trait to the Grim Reaper, then we would have a proper looking dementor.
After your previous video of doing all sims death, I had to look for an up to date on all the sims 4 deaths and I had seen “death by night wraith” and I had NEVER heard of this 😱
Dravis Bumfield is the only Spellcaster I've had get the curse. Made him quite the unique sim to play and have as a townie.
Gameplay wise, he's still able to do a lotta things, but getting him in a good mood is extremely difficult. Like you'd practically need to Beguile him if he ever wants to feel flirty. Quite a few things require Sims to be in a good mood including making good quality stuff. Magic became essential in easing life since Repairio improves the quality of objects and food. Tho he knows how to get rid of the curse, I keep it on him.
As a townie he won't stay in one place for too long. Usually because his energy being at 0 forever means he'll try to go home to sleep.
Even when you're not playing the sim, the wraith will most likely show up if the sim is on the lot long enough. Then it becomes EVERYONE'S problem. Being near the wraith will make Sims throw up on the floor making a mess everywhere and the wraith constantly screams. Great way to ruin a night out

I had completely forgotten about the Night Wraith. I remember learning they existed when RoM came out but since I never encountered them I forgot until you brought attention back to them. They are fascinating and I love the deep dive lore you've done. I now have a mission to get them into my game and experience it all.
one thing i don't really like about the curses in sims 4 is that i think your spellcasters should be able to curse non-magical sims, but the curses are only available to spellcasters.
I play with spellcasters literally all the time and have never seen this! I really like this addition to the game

the ending music gives very strong Professor Layton vibes which is probably a niche thing but it was my first DS game (my parents got it for themselves to play but they never played it, they got me Nintendogs which I also loved) so the music made me happy ksdjgsfjk

I totally relate on the anxiety with beliefs!!! I do not believe in superstition, but my father does and always taught me to touch wood etc. My anxiety does not allow me to skip the rituals/gestures even though I don't believe in them, you know just in case 😂😂

Realm of Magic is one of those packs that is constantly in my gameplay rotation and I love discovering and rediscovering things in the spellcaster system
My sim was hunted by the wraith and straight up died. I literally could not cleanse the curse soon enough and they starved to death. Horrifying experience really.
This curse is TRAUMATIZING. One of my first Spellcasters had the same experience as Beatrix Beeswax, it was so stressful 😱

i had the night wraith in my game and it was funny cuz anytime my sim tried to make a curse cleansing potion, his ghost ass would pop up and scare the shit out of her😭

I remember getting this curse when ROM came out and I couldn't find ANY information about it. For some reason I could hear it screaming and I had all the moodlets but the wraith was invisible. I was so creeped out I just stopped playing that save.
I only found out about this a couple of years ago, but never saw it myself, I don't play spellcasters much. Very cool that there's something hidden and more extreme than Sims 4 usually does. I must actually try this myself.
I found the night wraith earlier this year after having played through several full spellcaster stories before that without it coming up. That spellcaster sim also lived in a haunted house and let's just say her life was already a mess before the curse
i encountered this character only once in my years of playing this game and it scared me so much i didn;t play for weeks lmao. its prettu cool tho. i just was shocked that it existed because i havent seen anyone talk about it and i watch a lot of sims content
