Same here. It's going to be a lot easier to move into and escape from fights, which helps the weapon do what we love it does while also helping it keep special output in a less paint/spam-oriented way.
I want it to have it place a tiny point sensor when it hits something. Would help it be better at scanning areas. But it’s Nintendo so probably will give it a paint buff

As an Undercover Brella main this buff is incredible. Would be nice to get a damage buff at some point though, but you cant complain about the fact it got something.
I hope the wording for the reasoning behind why they buffed Pro and Shot actually means something, esp for the lower tiers (Nova specifically comes to mind since it has very similar range to Pro). Hopefully they didn’t just yap to yap and it’ll actually mean something, but overall this was a pretty decent patch tbh
Angle shooter should do more damage the further away the opponent is. It can keep the same damage at close range but ramp up to something like 65 at max range
That sounds like a bad idea. Being able to 2 tap people above E-Liter range sounds gross. Tbh I wished they increase it's flight distance if it bounces on walls instead.
The Angle Shooter buff is actually slightly bigger than you think, Angle barely out ranged E-liter pre-patch and once this patch goes live, Angle will FULLY out range E-liter depending on how much range they give it, meaning weapons like Swig Express, Blob Deco, and Recycled now have a more reliable way of poking and contesting with weapons that greatly out range them.
As someone who uses it to bully chargers... yep was curious about that actually. And then we have the angle shooter challenge coming up... this buff is going to make that hilarious.
I still want them to increase Undercover Brella's shield bump damage so it can combo with 2x directs, but I'll take the 1/3 second shield respawn time buff without complaint lol--the jump height while firing buff was more significant than most people gave it credit for, mostly because few people are playing the weapon as religiously as I do. This may be similarly surprisingly impactful.
The tri color change is just stupid, they had 2 YEARS to make that change and they finally added something like that afterwards while original splatfests are over
For those wondering why the range buffs always go hand-in-hand with velocity / travel speed buffs: In Splatoon, projectiles have a fixed time they'll travel until gravity starts affecting them (from this point onwards they start falling down and also lose damage). While each projectile has its own time, this time is always fixed and never changes. A Nautilus bullet will always travel in a straight line for 3 frames and then start to fall down while a squeezer bullet travels straight for 4 frames (33% longer). This way, different guns can have different projectile speeds and still share the same range. If the devs now want to increase the range for one projectile, they simply increase the travel speed of that projectile. Since the time is fixed, the projectile will simply travel further in the same time due to the higher travel speed. This is also how Sub Power Up works for bombs: you can throw them further cause they'll be on their way for the same time but travel with a higher speed. --- EDIT: made it more clear that the time is fixed PER PROJECTILE.
@@galaxykitsune08 Ah, I see where your confusion comes from, my post was worded poorly. The time how long a projectile flies is fixed PER PROJECTILE (I forgot to write that too). A nautilus bullet only flies straight for 3 frames while a squeezer bullet flies straight for 4 times. Because of that, both have roughly the same range with different travel speeds. I'll update my post, thank you for your response!

Splattershot Pro should just have more shots/tank tbh. Just give it a couple more shots in a tank and it would probably end up pretty solid. I play a lot of Vanilla Pro and Forge Pro and just having a bit of extra ink would be nice so I'm not running a bunch of ISM in my kit.
lovin the tuber buffs. what i really want them to do to buff tuber next is 1: make it tap shot range the same as it full charge range 2: make it recover ink while its holding it charge (submerged in ink)
I assume the Splattershot comment might mean the average range for some weapons will be increased? Like because Splattershot is the benchmark everything else will be buffed to match? Not just shooters either
one of my teammates has been trying to push s-blast lately and one of our common scrim partners likes running jr so the booyah bomb buffs are very welcome
I love how much this patch took steps to balance the game better, and the mint nerf could potentially let charcoal see some use? Probably not but I can hope
I just hope the Booyah bomb buffs don't make it feel too much like a panic button. You shouldn't have to have your entire team focus it just to not essentially trade with the damn thing. But they were really vague about how much it sped up the charge.
I think wave needs a buff that makes each wave stronger. Maybe first wave 45, second wave 65, and third wave 85. (Are those damage numbers crazy?) This would incentivize both the user to place it in a good and hidden spot, while also incentivizing the enemy team to seek it out and destroy it. Probably should buff the HP too - 500. This would punish the enemy team the longer they choose to ignore it. This would open up a ton of interactions! The user would probably want to guard and protect their wave breaker- the better job they do to defend it- the more value they could get from it.

I get the devs are trying to build on the Angle Shooter's strength to fight distant enemies and depending on stages the sub has a situational advantage but I don't understand what they try by a 5 percent increase. I think the devs are aftraid of more damage since in the right hands this would be potentially really strong but if not a direct damage increase why not go for consecutive damage when running into it? Doesn't need to be 45 but with 15 to 20 it would be great for combos which the sub weapon is about.
Welp, one of my least favorite matchups for Nzap just got worse with this range buff to Splatershot. The devs should create more competition for the spot of Tacticooler weapon. They should make Snipewriter 220p and possibly Hedit as well because I worry Hedit could take over if it has better Tacticooler output. Keep N-Zap 210p and make Tri Nouveau 200p because it just gets outclassed by Zap. Continue to buff the main weapons of Dynamo and H3, but also make their vanilla kits both 180p.
