If you cook them in the oven close together - touching... they won't dry out. Scones should be super moist and delicious. JUST A BAKERS TIP!!!!! They look beautiful. Definitely trying this recipe at home.

Loooooved these! For those wondering about gluten free... I made a few test batches and here's what worked best: - I use the Gluten Free All Purpose Flour from Bulk Barn (no gums) - I added a second flax egg - I added a half tsp of baking soda (just to get them poofy!) - They don't roll out very well when you use GF flour, so I hand-shaped balls of scone dough on my making sheet - Did not have to adjust baking time - Almost ate all 12.
I tried making them today and they turned out great (even though I struggled with the cup measurement at first). My mom loves them she keeps nicking them off the tray.

I made vegan donuts today and I coated them with this glaze and I have to say, it's a really good alternative to the traditional chocolate or vanilla glaze. My younger brothers, who aren't even vegan, devoured those donuts and they absolutely loved the glaze :D

I reeeeally wanted scones but no pumpkin just frozen peaches. used 2 1/2 cups flour, half the spices, same amount of coconut oil and replaced pumpkin with peach puree. mixed cold peach puree with oil and sweetener then cut THAT into the flour and spice mixture and added milk last. made really moist peach scones
O.M.G.!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just took them out of the oven and I think I may eat them all! I'm totally making these again this weekend for a Thanksgiving Feast at the park where I volunteer. YUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I used syrup and then also some pumpkin puree because I can't get enough of it. And cinnamon and ginger because the powdered sugar is a little too sweet. But these things are SO good.

I find when u put hot water into flax meal it thicken straight away instead of chilling in fridge for 10-15 min

CL Yin same with vegan buttermilk! Microwave it for even 10 seconds and it immediately curdles. I always microwave my flax eggs and buttermilk

Can I use maple syrup instead of maple extract for the glaze?
I feel like regular maple syrup wouldnt make it into a glaze, it would be thicker! But I think it would still taste good!
Bryce Milam in my recipe I combine powdered sugar with a bit of pure maple syrup, and sometimes a splash of almond milk. It works!
