I just made these and OMG, I love your channel and your book, so many easy recipes and I always have all the ingredients at home. Thank You Jill, and God bless you!! Oh thank you for all the incredible recipes!! 🤍
What a great recipe! Feel like making these immediately. I thought about your use of dates for sweetening, excellent choice, and also maybe some local autumn fruit like dried apples or dried pears, even golden raisins might be used the same way. Always feel that it's achievable when watching your recipes.
We travelled to Ireland last year, and during the trip I fell in love with having scones every morning. And then I went plant based and have been sadly missing them. I think I will be able to enjoy these without feeling like I’ve done a bad thing. Thank you, especially for this recipe! :D
I just made this!!!! They are AWESOME!!!! I was afraid they would be dense inside but they are not. The topping is incredible!!! I want to eat it all on its own!!! I've tried others recipes and have been impressed as well. Just bought & signed up for your program!!!
I just made these tonight. I didn't have apple cider vinegar so I used white wine vinegar and I didn't have a lemon so I used fresh squeezed orange juice instead...delicious! Thanks Jill! So glad that I found this channel.
Just made this and had a piece hot out of the oven. So delicious!! I didn't have time to make the frosting so just drizzled some maple syrup on the nice warm piece. Thank you for a very easy tasty treat. I definitely will be making this on a regular basis.
Double the frosting recipe, you won't be sorry. These are delightful! Perfect with a cup of coffee or tea in the afternoon. I froze a couple and they did well after a few weeks. I froze a baggie of the frosting too. I'm going to do it again, too! These are fantastic. I had a cup of left over toasted pecans (from the caramel apple cake-the caramel frosting is fantastic on these scones, btw) and I added them in to the second batch. Very good! Thank you, Jill. I Really appreciate that I can pick out several recipes and prep extra of many of the ingredients and make meals for the week really quick and easy!
Daughter and I just made these 🥰 -they were moist and soft 🤤 didn’t even need the frosting -wet my knife a little before cutting so it prevents sticking Your dough seemed dryer then what we got. But it worked out anyway (I used grams to weigh out ingredients, there’s always variance otherwise)
I love that idea....me too... there's one kind called oriental with purple skin and cream colored flesh...sweet as honey... Thanks for the suggestion...
Jill, you always make the best videos. Loved the part with the frosting insert and the dance at the end was so cute. Thank you so much for all that you do. I can't wait to give these a try... yum!!
Hi. I’m new from Southern California. I’m glad to found your channel and love your recipes. I have to watch the sodium because I have hypertension high BP.
@@wholefoodplantbasedcookingshow I think that you need more than 2C whole oats to get 2C oat flour. It looks like the recipe calls for 2C whole oats ground, rather than 2C oat flour. Is that right? Thanks! 💖
Do you think it's okay if it sits for a while before being put in the oven (e.g. if I'm having guests and I want to serve the scones warm for dessert, so I put them in the oven just before we start eating the main course)?
Is there a substitute for dates? First time I ordered them on Amazon, 8 months or so it was like 4-5 lbs. and pitted. This last time with Amazon saying this is what I purchased before, it was 2lbs and pits. So I ordered date syrup , 58 oz for $18 . What is the ratio for data syrup to dates?\thanks
I think you might need the fat in the almond meal. Can you have cashews? Trader Joe’s sells a cashew meal/flour. I have a really good biscuit recipe and it uses flour and a little almond meal. The fat in the almond meal replaces the butter you usually cut in to make biscuits.
Do you think that Bob's Red Mill buckwheat creamy hot cereal flakes (fruit, not a grain) could be sub'd instead of oats, for us who have troubles with oats? ? ? ?

10:24 Lol, love the Frosting 'insert' :-) Oh and the happy dance at the end. :-)

I made these last night in honor of the leaves changing in Michigan! Absolutely delicious!!

Where yours stickier than what they looked like in the video? I think mine were too wet. I’m baking them now so we’ll see.

Ok, making this. Once again I have all the ingredients on hand. One of the reasons that I like your channel.

Thank you Michelle, I’m so glad you are enjoying the recipes 😊
I would have to make 2 batches from the get-go, I can already tell. This would call my name for DAYS if I didn't--thanks JIll!

Oh my, that looks so good! Perfect for this time of year. Anything with pumpkin in it, I am all about that.
YES!! Just made it. Knocked my socks off!! Good as any scone I've eaten (in my previous SAD life).
I would love to try this with sweet potato instead but they look great

@@wholefoodplantbasedcookingshow 💖🤗💖 🤗💖 🤗 💖
I'm so excited to try these. I was just looking for a good gluten-free, plant-based scone. The timing is perfect!
👍🏻💖👏🏻🌹🙌🤗💞
I would love, love to see a recipe for the Starbucks vanilla bean scones, some type of hack to make it vegan and just as easy as these ones!
Mmmmmmm. I will add it to my list❤️
Hi. I’m new from Southern California. I’m glad to found your channel and love your recipes. I have to watch the sodium because I have hypertension high BP.
Hi, from Austria! It looks so delicious! I love your recipes! Thanks you so much for new inspirations!
Can't wait for the book. Need 3 for Xmas.
Looks delicious!
Yum! Am gonna use cashew or pumpkin seed meal vs almond meal, tho.
Looks DELICIOUS, Jill! Will be making some very soon!
Pumpkinpumpkinpumpkinpumpkinpumpkin 😋🎃! Thank you for making these gluten free 🥰! These sound incredible! 🍁🐿🍂 Happy fall to you 💛🧡❤️
I made the exactly following your recipe and they were delicious!!! Thank you
I love your show! It’s nice to see that you can make fun of yourself...you have the cutest smile when you do😉😃👍🏼
Jill, hi. I also discovered lupin flour, could that be used as a substitue for almond flour or in cakes, muffins etc? I'd appreciate your advice.
I have never used lupin flour before but from what I have learned it can be used to replace almond flour well.
I thought this was actually our own kitchen ☺️, until you mentioned the *new set*, on a video I watched yesterday.
These look delicious! I'd love to see a cookie dough pie recipe from you because it's really hard finding a whole food plantbased one
This looks so amazing!!!!!
I can’t wait to make this when we get back home! Looks delicious!❤️
Are the measurements the same for oat flour? I didn’t know if the 2 cups of oats ground down to equal different measurements.
That is a good question but I think it comes out to almost the same 👍

Thank You for this!!! So excited to try! So why do you use your Blendtec for some recipes and Nutribullet for others?
Some recipes, the amount of whatever it is to be blended is small, it just works better to use the nutribullet 👍
Another great recipe. Thank you. What can I use instead of oat flour? because I'm sensitive to the protein avenin in oats.
I haven’t tried any substitutes with this recipe, sorry
...clove, fenugreek, and amla!
When we are out of dates could we substitute figs?
I just made these! OMG delicious , the frosting is delicious 😋
Can I post my pictures the scones on my instagram?
Hi Diane please do and spread the plant based love!
Oh my God, I'm making this tomorrow
Do you think it's okay if it sits for a while before being put in the oven (e.g. if I'm having guests and I want to serve the scones warm for dessert, so I put them in the oven just before we start eating the main course)?
I think it would be just fine =)
Another question...can sunflower seeds be used in place of cashews? I can’t eat those either.
They can but the taste is more bitter and strong
Thank you. 👍👍👍👍👍
❤️
Thanks for such great recipes - I'm gluten intolerant and can't use oats. Is there substitute for this recipe?
A gluten free mix would work👍
I'm a tad obsessed with your intro song... it makes me want to skip around the woods or something 😂
Can the almond meal be replaced with a nut-free substitute? Possibly whole wheat flour?
I haven’t tried that, sorry
Will I be able to get the book in South Africa for gifts also?
Currently it looks like only the US can preorder. Looking into when it is actually for sale that it is available to everyone

You state Almond flour/meal but I can’t use those. What else could be used in its place?
I’m pretty sure you could just use all oat flour and it would still come out ok 👍

lol, the food dance...thx
Do you think that Bob's Red Mill buckwheat creamy hot cereal flakes (fruit, not a grain) could be sub'd instead of oats, for us who have troubles with oats? ? ? ?
Sorry, I haven’t tried that so I’m not sure 🤔
Give it a try and then let the rest of us know, ok? We'll check back. Thanks!
How many ounces does your squeezable container hold? I’d like to order some from Amazon.
12oz 👍
Thank you!!!
A lot of ingredients left in the mixer....I would have to use a spatula and get every last bit out 😉.
Can you use someone else besides almond meal or flour? Perhaps chickpea flour or wheat flour? I don't like nuts so I don't cook with them. Thank you.
I haven't really trie any substitutes, sorry.
Could use apple instead of pumpkin?
Sure
Thank You :)
WhT kind of baking powder do you use please. Some have medal
Thanks
Rumford
Can I replace the oats with something else ? I have a sensitivity
Sorry, I haven’t really tried any substitutes ☹️
I found out I have an intolerance to OATS. (Which is in half the known WFPB recipes) Do you have any suggestions for alternatives?
I haven’t tried any substitutes for this recipe, sorry 😐
A substitute for oats can be Spelt flakes🙂👍🏼 I haven't tried it but i have heard other people have had it for a great substitute instead of oats!
JJP ! ! Thank you , thank you, if it works I’ll be able to use it in many recipes.
@@anng.r.687 your welcome!🙂
I will have to try this!
Is the Nutribullet making the sauce as creamy as with the Vitamix?
Yes😊
Tried it, didn’t care for it because it was very dense. This is more like a muffin.
💖
another year of no pumpkin patch date
So many views and not many like ? Come on guys.
Thanks for the reminder...tend to get so absorbed and forget to tap that button:)
Love your channel......but that intro jingle....ugh.
