I love this series discovering the history of iconic fashion brands every week and now the uncovering of true Italian glamour! Kate your knowledge is amazing, I can listen to you all day and feel the same passion for the craft and will always love Tom Ford ❤️
Really hope more Kate still wants to share her knowledge, she is the GOAT. There are other stylists who have started a channel but she is clearly on the next level.
Hi Kate - It's been a while since I've seen you post. I hope all is well. Just wanted to let you know that your presence on TH-cam and content is much appreciated. I look forward to new content as we transition to another season. Happy Spring!
You basically put into words how i felt about Gucci! They dont take themselves seriously and the way they clash the old and the new is so invigorating and fun which i love so much from Gucci ❤️
This episode was my favorite one so far. Kate you radiate joy while explaining and that is contagious, I couldn't stop smiling. Congrats to the team and Kate who have done nothing but the best inspiring us fashion lovers. 🎇♥️
All the references and codes, love Gucci and love the fashion story you made of it, Kate! It shows so much inspiration and joy you get from fashion and in particular this brand. We want more!
"It looks like a bunch of cool kids wearing their grandmothers' couture to a fun rave" This is the most accurate description of today's Gucci I've ever heard. Genius!
Professor Young strikes again with another exciting lesson on Gucci!!! Thank you so much. I really appreciate Alessandro Michele's design and styling approach. The evolution is both fascinating and intoxicating, as I can't wait to see what's next. I look forward to another great lesson, and I love the suede jacket on you. Take care.
In presenting the start and history of Gucci the presence of the “diamanté “ is excluded and perhaps it is because Michele has not incorporated this trademark in collections. Another aspect in this this presentation is the absence of Frieda Giannini’s work between Ford and Michele . And one last note… the Jackie shoulder bag that appears every so often in seasons was originally called the “Constance” and was later changed in homage to Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis. As someone who has a large collection from this brand I await the reintroduction of the “Diamanté “. Thanks for filming!
The best day of the week! Would love for you to do a deep dive into an item of clothing - the perfect pair of jeans/changing cuts and styles from a brand like Levis, Re-Done, Frame etc. x
Never ever miss any episode from your channel, Kate. Even I had learnt abt Gucci before, but still excited to join "your class". Normally, I wont watch something that is longer than 15 mins, but this episode has the power to keep me watching it, and I event forget abt the time. Plus, I dont need to "skip ad", so I could focus and enjoy your sharing. Again, thanks Kate and the team, love you guys.
I think this episode just showed me how much fun fashion is and how much I love it! I AM VERY INSPIRED TO CHASE A CAREER IN FASHION BECAUSE OF YOUR CHANEL. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! Please continue to do what you are doing! You're inspiring a new generation.
Gucci symoolizes wild crazy passion...lose your mind over stuff...one way or the other, thank you Kate for another wonderful insight into iconic fashion brand..
Your page is the first I’ve ever subscribed to on TH-cam that’s how much I love it! Adore everything you’re creating Kate, eagerly awaiting your next episode 💕
I am so blessed to have found your channel. I love history, but fashion history the most, and your channel gives me a great fix EVERY TIME! I have learned so much. Thank you and blessings!
Always a joy listening to you talk about fashion. the mere INTEREST in fashion and the industry can be perceived as invaluable and materialistic (and rightfully so!). It's comforting and insipring to hear people talk about their passion fearlessly.
Dear Kate, thanks for explaining everything about Gucci in less than 20 minutes! I have been a fan since the Tom Ford Era, now j just go even crazier with the fresh colorful fun that this old fashion embrace. I was not sure about owning a bamboo bag as a guy at first, but the new version has changed my mind. Once again, thanks for sharing your knowledge 🙏
Hanging on every word. I so appreciate the historical context you provide. As an art hit our major and fashion obsessive, I am just head over heels for this content 💫
Brilliant, Kate 💛 Love the juxtaposition and play of old/new, shape/pattern, history of the house/fakes, nerd/bling. Look forward to every Tuesday, thank you!
Well done Kate!! I love how you communicate all the knowledge with such ease! Great teacher

Awesome video. You are making some of the best fashion content I can find on TH-cam. You, Doris Raymond, Bliss Foster (who has analyzed probably every Margiela look ever presented) and that spanish girl Lakabra.
I just enjoyed so much this kind of series where the history of brands is analyzed and told in a fresh and catchy way! Love that and love this format! Please keep doing it with other brands because I’m already starving to know more😍
Such a fabulous video. I learned so much. I'm obsessed with Gucci ever since Allesandro took over. Every collection is amazing. I'm a retired stylist and purchased real Gucci shoes which are so comfortable. I love what you said about buying fakes if you can't afford real Gucci which I have also done recently. Bags,tee-shirts,belts,socks,slides,sneakers.etc.mostly accessories. I mix real with fake. I just love the look. Thank you Kate for sharing. I'll watch this over and over again.
As an employee of the company, this is GREAT product knowledge, which helps with sharpening my talking points while selling and creating that desire with Clients. Awesome video 😍😍😍
Thank you sooooo much for this totally inspiring video.. I had to watch it again..the way you described it was spot on..I have always loved gucci..for many reasons ..but I am an equestrian..and I have several handbags..some real and some fake with the horse bit..it's my favorite.. Another fab video thank you so much 😊 can’t wait to see Gaga in the Gucci film too! The book that preceded the film was excellent. Also very much enjoyed your podcast appearance. Would recommend to anyone to listen 👂 love from London 😀
I look forward to these episodes every week and this was amazing. That look is fab on you. Could you show the full length of your episode outfits every week - it's hard to get shoes/trousers length right - would love to see how you do/wear it!
I feel like I'm learning so much from these videos. I have always been attracted to brand-name items, and it's incredibly interesting to learn how they started and why they endure. I wish I could afford everything Gucci and Louis Vuitton and Cartier, but I doubt I can (at least right now). So watching these videos helps me learn what to look for when I do get the chance to buy an authentic luxury piece. Thank you Kate Young! PS - are you going to do an episode on Chanel?
This was really insightful and made me think of Gucci in a different light. I used to think that Gucci was tacky, with the obvious logos and kooky designs, but this video helped me understand the meaning and thought processes behind those designs. 😊
You’re awesome I just started to work with Gucci and I’m fascinated with how you talk. And also I’m so impressed that how much you know about the brand. Congrats darling ✨
Love love LOVE this commentary! your passion for the brand really shone through!!! Just sad Frida and Alessandra Facchinetti were skipped, they also made quite a contribution (esp Frida). Oh and also would love to hear your thoughts on the love parade :***
I really love direction this channel is going in this season. It is wonderful, full on inspiration, respect and love for fashion. Thankful for broadening my horizons. (I am one of those prudes who was shocked by graffiti on the back of Kate's jacket😊 - which is gorgeous).
It is one of the largest fashion houses, it is innovative and always seeks to impress with new designs, I think that what most characterizes this brand are its unique bags👜❤️
Thank you so much for sharing their story. I've recently purchased my first Gucci Bag. It was recommended to me after the original one i wanted was out of stock. It was such a mix of the vintage but in a modern look.
This is the kind of content that makes you feel that you are not wasting your time on youtube

I've recently purchased my first Gucci Bag. It was recommended to me after the original one i wanted was out of stock. It was such a mix of the vintage but in a modern look.
