    i can attest, a stock forester handles amazingly on soft dirt roads at relatively high speeds. unfortunately (fortunately for me) the traction control doesn't let you slide too much, it slides for about 30 ft and then bites and goes forward. blast.

      You wouldn't wish the diesel boxer if it was in the US. The Boxer Diesel is one of the most unreliable engines of all time. The engine breaks after only 93.000 miles, and it's very costy to replace the engine.

      @@szabolcsberkes9599 It's free to replace. Subaru replace your engine for free if it's part from the faulty ones, based of engine series. My 2009 diesel Forester broke at 120k KM, in 2013. Subaru Japan sent to my dealership a whole new engine in a box, my car was back on road, with new engine. While the engine arrived (1 month and 20 days), the Subaru Dealership gave me a replacement car (a 2013 new CVT diesel).
      Now my car have 415.000 KM and still going. No turbo issues, no DPF issues, No oil consumption, and after cleaning the EGR valve the boost is as good as new (is normal to accumulate carbon, in this many km).
      So yea, I recon that Subaru still offers parts if the engine is faulty for free, but they no longer for the install.

    1) Can you give details about the exhaust system on this rally car?
    2) Is there a list of parts used on this car?
    3) Can MRT build a street version of this car for customers?

    So the weak crankshaft is myth and nothing more, we are considering a 2009 diesel forester bur here in EU everyone is saying weak crankshaft don't bother it will snap eventually is that the case ?

    • @jacoclone
      @jacoclone 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Euro 5 version has a reinforced version of the crankshaft, I suggest you to get that type of engine, you can easily recognize it from the euro 4 by the black plastic intake manifold on the euro 5, in the 4 you get an aluminium one. I have a 2010 Impreza diesel and it rocks!! Don't be afraid of the crankshaft but check for the dpf and egr valve also.

      @jacoclone 23 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@boxerdiesel purtroppo no, ho amici in officina subaru ufficiale e purtroppo anche gli euro 6 spaccano prima o poi, l'unica cosa che ti posso dire è fai sempre i tagliandi olio sui 10.000km con oli buoni motul/bardahl, fai sempre scaldare bene il motore prima di tirare e cambia il liquido refrigerante pure. Altra opzione per dare più respiro al motore è anche defap se possibile per quanto legale o meno.

      @@jacoclone Grazie per i graditi consigli; i tagliandi li faccio ufficiali, ho notato anche io che già a 10.000km l' olio è stanco, inoltre ne consuma circa 1litro in un anno. A breve ho quello dei 120.000km, porto sempre appresso 1L di motul 5w30

    • @joshuavincent7884
      @joshuavincent7884 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      probably around 200kW. Ya 400Nm but that's peaking at what...2500rpm? Torque will launch you out of corners but if the engine doesn't like to spin up, power curve is still mediocre compared to turbo petrol
