    I'm 18 years old and I really hope that my spine grows 2 inches so if I did get LL I would be more proportional. A lot of my uncles and even my dad told me they grew 1-2 inches after 18 so I hope I inherited those growth genes. I mean you could literally lengthen fingers, toes, arms, legs but the only thing you can't lengthen even in the far future is the spine.

    • @youtubecommentsguy9805
      @youtubecommentsguy9805 4 ปีที่แล้ว +16

      Yea but tell me one doctor that does finger lengthening :o?
      Also arms - only upper arms lower arms aren‘t doable for cosmetic reasons.
      Feet don‘t fucking matter. (I know a dude 5‘6 who has US 12 and another one is 6‘1 or so and wears US 7. funny thing is I never even noticed until I once saw the bottom of the shoe with the number on it).
      And for spine: sitting height is the least meaningful thing honestly.

    Nice to see you (probably) picked up my comment last time 😅. Gotta agree in the end now. I think there are way too much proportions freaks about LL. I showed a friend of mine a dude who had -4inch ape index and he didn‘t even notice. After half a min I told him and he was like „ah yea maybe it looks a bit odd“.
    I think anyone should do LL then look how they feel before even thinking about arm lengthening. I bet 99% of people feel satisfied and don‘t want to get another surgery done just for the proportions to fit mathematically better afterwards. The only exception might be like you said if its noticeable for the untrained eye. But I bet that‘s only if you already have a very low wingspan then go for LL for more than 10cm.

    My humerus' are about 4 inches too short. Im 41 now and it's been completely detrimental in my everyday life since i was very young. I grew to be 6ft 3in. And weigh on average 265lbs, however, with my humerus' looking the way they do, it makes it very difficult for me to even go outdoors because its so embarrassing. I constantly wear long sleeve shirts, even in the Hot summer months to try to hide my arms, however, when i bend my arms for any reason, people can still notice. Ive had suicidal thoughts because im so embarrassed of my arms. I wish the Lord would heal me and give me normal arms.

      @Cyborg4Life of course. I'm just not in a financial situation that would allow me to get such an operation and probably never will be. But hey, some people don't have any limbs at all. I guess I should be grateful, to be honest. It's just very, very difficult to live with. Have a good one.

      I don’t know if it would be the same for you, but my insurance company will cover the costs of my lengthening surgery, since it is functional (fixing a discrepancy) rather than just for looks. Maybe you could explore that if you have health insurance.

      Although 5cm is the average. On the old CLL forum there was a teenage girl and a middle aged man, (50's), in similar situations, and it showed the before and of them both doing 9cm external fixators, both doing fine after all was said and done. 9cm is roughly only a half inch away from complete correction for your discrepancies. I believe Dr. Lee mentions doing this with the Precise Nail on his TH-cam channel as well. I can't recall how much lengthening that patient did, but technically 8cm is not to shabby either in correcting your conditions.

    I am SO happy I found this video. I have arm length discrepancy, my right humerus is approximately 2 inches shorter than my left humerus.
    In some situations it is extremely noticeable when I’m wearing a T-shirt, and I have been extremely self-conscious about it ever since I discovered it. Getting it fixed would improve my self-confidence.
    I am seriously considering cosmetic lengthening to correct it. It won’t happen in the very near future, but I want to select a clinic and doctor for the procedure that will get me the best results. Money is another factor as well, I could never afford it in the US now (without saving for many years) and I am hoping it’s cheaper if I do medical tourism to another country. Do you have any advice or tips for me?

    The second one is not necessarily cosmetic . One of my arms is longer than the other and over time as I do daily tasks I tend to lean to one side more from not being able to account for that extra length . Causes your spine to bend over time and major back issues . Not just cosmetic 😅

    I’m a short guy with a shorter wingspan than my height and somewhat broad shoulders that actually make my wingspan look closer to my height even though my arms are super short. My short forearms are what hurt my wingspan but I know that’s kind of dark territory so I’d be interested in humerus lengthening to at least try to make my arms look half way normal but I like to lift and me and my friends spar in kickboxing semi-often. I know that would sideline me from that for a while but if it would permanently affect my lifting or sparring, I wouldn’t want to do it. I’m not a trained fighter or power lifter. Just hobbies that I really enjoy and wouldn’t be willing to give up. I know you aren’t a doctor but I’m curious what you think Vic. You think it would affect me permanently in a negative way? I’d like to have longer arms to be able to look better in my eyes and to actually be able to reach things from further away like my job requires at times but if it would interfere with my hobbies permanently, it’s a no go for me. Thanks in advance, Vic. You’re the best!

      Arm lengthening is a bit interesting as I feel you'd heal well but it could affect your training and performance for up to 1.5-2 years. • @Cyborg4Life
      @Cyborg4Life  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not exactly. First of all during LL you will lose weight due to atrophy due to decreased activity and slightly elevated metabolic rate.
      The saying "for every inch = 10lbs" but this is based on normal growth of a person (arms, legs, torso etc.). For LL this only applies to the legs (either segment) but even then the muscle growth is dependent on so many factors. But if you wanted to estimate I suppose you could divide this by 1/4.
      So if 8cm = 3 inches that's about 30lbs / 4 = about 7lbs after 8cm total after you're fully healed and muscle rebuilt everywhere 1-2 years post op which again is highly dependent on multiple factors so don't expect this for certain.

I think it‘s still not 100% known nowadays which is insane considering how advanced biochemistry has become.

      Stop what madness? What do you think I’m doing here? Do you think I am telling people to do this? Go back and watch all 200+ videos I’ve done and if you ever see me say “go get this procedure done” I’ll give you money. This channel is simply a resource to provide quality credible content around the topic I wish I had before I got it done for patients so they don’t fall into the wrong hands at clinics that are inexperienced that are causing the problems and crippling people. So before you start making unwarranted comments and accusations you should educate yourself on the true status of the LL industry and maybe you’ll be enlightened to what’s really going on.

    What is this new obsession with being tall? Is this modern day Frankenstein/ cyborg experiment? There was a commercial years ago, It’s not nice to fool with Mother Nature. What are the long term affects of this procedure? Bones get weak as for some people as they age. What if you get in an accident? What are the repairs / maintenance of all of this? Being tall will not change a persons life. It’s the person. Love yourself and the image that tue creator provided for you. There is a reason we are who we are. Love yourself and others will love you too.

      @Cyborg4Life  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Well if they do it with a top surgeon the risk is very low and no long term effects that you mentioned. But yeah there are some clinics out there that market this to everyone. I don't promote it just educate patients about it so they do it safely if they have decided to get it done so they don't go get butchered. But I understand what you're saying and agree it shouldn't be done solely for superficial reasons

    Victor it is okay if your height is 5'10 but armspan is shorter like 5'7. Would it matter in terms of attractiveness? Thanks in advance.
