This video convince me that sims 2 has a lot of details and the amount of stuffs make the game feel more alive. It's the only one which has pool physic and a full car animation.
Truly sims 2 feels so much more "alive" than than the others
The Sims 2 was made with passion, the Sims 3 was made with ambition & the Sims 4………..
Sims 2 wins hands down, Sims 3 has similar animations but there is a slight corners are cut. Sims 4 is a whole lot of NOTHING. Even the most mundane things Sims 2 did it so well.
Sims 3: with the expansion pack of ambitions, you could actually play as a firefighter. Too bad you did not show that.
And to think it costs $1,175 for all DLC in SIMS 4.
ts2 strikes the perfect balance between realism and quirkiness. Plus the modding community is STILL active and amazing. It just has a soul that the other games lack in some way.
2 by far had the most love put into it. 3 replaced some of the love with ambition, cutting tiny corners to reach for the stars. 4 just cut corners because it could.
Invisible garage in Sims 4 looks super cool
Sims 3 forever - to be fair with cars in 3, they can be put anywhere on the lot. So, putting your car on a roof or wherever would be weird to animate
TS4 is essentially a doll house simulator, not a life sim
While Sims 2 was limited in some ways (Closed world, and limited customization), a huge advantage to this is the fact that the devs now had all of the time they wanted to flesh out the games with tons of details, many of which weren't even necessary but they still put them in anyways. This really shows how much passion the Sims 2 devs had for the game.
Sims 2 and 3: * Sims actually fix electronics *
Sims 3 will always remain my favorite sims game. I agree that some of the cool details that where in the sims 2 weren't implemented back in, but I think it was for the best since sims 3 is an open world. It wasn't out of laziness but more like for the sake of optimization. And it's still a fun game nonetheless althrough I fully undersand why people would prefer sims 2. Sims 2 and sims 3 are both good for their own reasons. Sims 4, however, has no excuses.
And Sims 4 has more packs than Sims 1-3 combined, it's wild. I honestly feel like Project Rene/Sims 5 will be even worse.
The sims 3 with sims 1 vibe (grew up with sims 1 and 3), sims 2 details animation etc, sims 4 cas, build/buy and gallery, and with better-looking sims (not uncanny) is my ideal sims game...
glad you touched on the walking animation
To be fair, if the price for an open world is less animations, it's completely fine. Sims 3 for ever ❤
By far Sim 2 is my favorite in the series. The love and passion they put into that game can still be felt and seen. That being said, I'm not entirely against the idea of cutting corners,
I'm curious to see how they want to dumb down Sims 5 / Project Rene compared to Sims 4.
