Wow!
Video 5 of asking for a tank with some freshwater dolphinfish please.
Couldn't recruit a couple from the gym?
@@t3dwards13 We are talking about hard, real life here... 😛
@@peasantrobot lol
Matt is a genius. His years of experience in the retail industry really shows. Especially the part about using blocks to shift the tank up one side at a time
bloody helped out with this move that's for sure. We were screwed without the block idea. Didn't want to ask gym people as if there are injury's then I become liable to whatever!!!
@@MDFishTanks I love that plan b was the gym bros next door
Used to do something similar with books, when I would have to hang kick boxing heavy bags by my self to get them chained on the hook.
Hey gym guys I bet you can't lift this 😂
How does that have anything to fo with retail experience???
"We're fish keepers. We don't have friends." Great video! I haven't laughed this hard in a long time. The tank is a real beauty. Looking forward to seeing what you do with it.
Matt needs a raise! Such an asset to the studio. It was nerve racking watching you guys move that aquarium.
This was so sketchy! 😂😂😂 But at least it didn't break.
Everyone needs a friend like you
Matt You had me in stitches doing that turtle move 🐢 😂
@@DonnaArnold1981I need a time stamp because I have no idea what turtle walk is? 😂
Watching it back seemed so much more fun than at the time. Bit of a nervy day. Could literally feel myself be able to breathe as we slid the tank into position.
I was so nervous the whole video watching, great job not breaking with just two of you. Smart idea with the blocks.
I love watching you two! Not only do you make amazing tanks, but you can tell you are genuinely having a great time doing it together. Your friendship and joy is contagious. Just what we need in these crazy days. Keep up the fun and keep the videos coming!
I wish it could be bottled!
Matt is such a fundamental piece to this channel and your friendship is like no other
'We're fish keepers, we don't have friends...' 😂
I felt that in my soul. Lol
T SHIRT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I'd buy that shirt lmao
I would definitely buy that shirt! 😀
I can relate 😂😂😂
This is the moment MD hired Matt for. 😂
You two are the best duo in the entire hobby. Love your collaborations & exchanges of ideas. So excited to see another masterpiece unfolding in that 8ft tank. Sending some love & support from the Philippines.
“You guys wanna see that don’t you?”
Yes, for some reason watching you two do anything is a balm for my winter boredom.
I love watching you two problem solve, and doing it with your sense of humor. Also love the way you never miss the double meaning of words. This tank move was amazing. I once moved a 6ft tank, stand and canopy with just my partner. You should have seen that! Literally just us two old ladies (65 & 75 years old) moving this heavy, massive 150gallon tank! 😮😂 Keep up the good work, boys!
Goals! To have that tank and to be that strong! 🎉 Good for you! 😊
I'm reminded of that episode of Friends, where they're trying to move the couch up the multilevel stairwell, and Ross just keeps going 'PIVOT!' haha
You guys are absolutely hilarious. I was laughing throughout. It's great to see such an exciting moment for the channel. Bravo!
So were we in between trying to work out how the hell we were going to do this 🤣🤣
I’ve moved multiple 4 foot aquariums by myself. 55 gallons and 75 gallon set ups And just doing that makes me realize how difficult an 8’ x 2’ would’ve been with just two people. Amazing work guys! Really enjoying the two of you on the channel now. Can’t wait to see the progress of this one!
Blurring Matt's stomach 😂
You guys work so hard though. Honestly I feel like people don't realize how hard TH-camrs can work
I was at the edge of my seat for the entire video! Thrilling! :) Who would have know that two fishkeepers can deliver such an action packed video! Well done guys! :)
Tension! Drama! Excitement! Humor! This was better than TV 😂 What great fun, thank you so much for filming this for us, I would have hated to not see the process. You two are so funny and I love getting to see you thinking out loud and problem solving. I cannot wait to see more with this massive tank. You guys are the best!!
My thoughts exactly! :)
You are blessed to have Matt with you. He is such a good friend. In India, there are local tank makers who bring glass panels and fix the tank at your place for big projects like these.
This makes so much more sense. 😊
Who's going to take a header into it first 😂
Absolutely LOVE you 2 "idiots" !
Y'all rock! Much love from Milford, Indiana USA ❤
Your channel is the reason I took the plunge into fish keeping. Much love!!!
I think that was the longest I've ever held my breath! So tense! When y'all started stacking those blocks to lift the tank I finally exhaled! lol Congrats on your monumental achievement!!! I can't wait to see what y'all do with it.
I need an episode that finishes with these to skipping away into the sunset…
I have ND Aquatics tanks, their whole operation is amazing and the tanks are so well made. Well done moving the 8ft, that was no mean feat! I was impressed with Matt's problem solving approach but the team work was also impressive. Just a thought - how about doing an aquascape with nothing sticking out of the top of the tank, they can be equally spectacular, as well as being more practical for many people.
In my country rimless tanks are prohibitively expensive even for well paid fish keepers. Id love to have some inspiration for a scape which fits in rimmed tank nicely.
Just wanted to say that the addition of Matt to the channel has been fantastic. Your channel was already amazing, but you guys have such a good chemistry and vibe. I'm really enjoying it
Geniuses!!!!!! Moving an 8ft tank with just two people was amazing to watch!!!!!😊😊😊
Suction grips are your friend!! Incredible tank even before it is scaped. So glad it went well and that you had Matt to help you MD! This is going to be an incredible showpiece when it is done!
I didn't expect to sit down for a 26-minute comedy sketch this morning, but this was lovely! It is always a pleasure to watch the both of you. One day I'd love to have such an amazing tank for myself! I can't wait to see what you both will do with it, but I'm sure you're gonna transform it into something awesome.
the panic in matts voice with each consecutive "sliding" was hilarious. also, you do have viewers to help... should have put out a post of anyone local to the area who wants to help
That was a very good solution right there, you can tell Matt has learned to know what he's doing! Congrats on getting your first 8-footer! And even more congrats getting it in place with just the two of you and without damage! That was a herculean task! Reminded me of the time a friend of mine broke down his tank and gave it to me; that one was 8ft by 2,5ft high and 2,5ft deep, sitting on a masonry and concrete home-built stand and he had built the cover for it himself as well. 12mil glass and five 18mil braces across the top, and it took five people over half an hour to carry the damn thing from his house to mine which was only at the other end of the row of houses, five houses away. I never got to do much with it unfortunately, but I will definitely be SO looking forward to seeing what you will do with this one! And when the next one and the first 10-footer arrive! 😁
I was chuckling and feeling your pain at the same time, I installed a 7 x 2 x 2 Ft tank in my shop many years ago which had to be manoeuvred through many doors and at one point almost stood on end to negotiate a right angle. I had 5 experienced people and they struggled.
A huge credit to you for doing that with 2 of you, it looks amazing, can't wait to see it set up.
The pixelation at 19:35 made me laugh, I wish sb would do that for me
Your excitement is contagious! Can't wait to see this scape come together:)
"We could be removal people!!" You guys make me laugh, and shows that chaos and very little planning wins the day 😂
Wish I’d seen this before I moved my big tank in, it was a nightmare with 5 people that didn’t know what they were doing and we was all getting in each others way, Matt’s definitely right, less body’s working smart is way better than loads of body’s working hard, you guys made that look really easy
I watch every video, and your personalities keep me coming back. Every build/install video I think "I know what they're going to do and I'm not someone who watches people move and build things because that's boring." I click and watch the whole thing. The build part boring as expected... you two however are too awesome to miss.
The accents are a bonus too. I miss living in England.
An amazing video. Just one observation. If (when) you do that again you need to do a double pillar of alternating breeze blocks to lock them, If you watch the speeded up part where you were raising the tank the pillars were moving and a slightly more push on the end rather than a direct lift and the pillar would have toppled as you got higher. That would have been messy.
Wow, great work fellas. Matt's experience over the years has paid off with moving this tank into place. The tank does look high quality as well. I thought you guys had no chance with just the two of you but you proved me wrong. I have the feels of an epic build coming up 😀
Matt cracked me up whem he said" I like this piece of board, thats a nice piece of board"😂😂
The title card 😂😂😂😂 love y’all
I like people say "great vid" 3 minutes after its uploaded :P
so do i lol. Helps the algorithm I guess 🤷♂
This was nervewracking, gents! I'm glad after the last video that the trolleys were purchased! I know how far in advance these videos are filmed but I suggested it a couple back. Having tools to make moving heavy things easier is just a literal weight off your shoulders.
using those blocks looks so risky im glad the plan went through good job!
Love seeing you boys move up to big tanks! Just make sure it's 100% level before putting water in that thing!
Fav duo on youtube atm!! Please do drop videos on your efforts to procure hardscape, substrate, equipments and accessories for this tank!
I love how you guys show the, not so pretty side, of the hobby. When people watch your videos they fully know what to expect. They see the hard work side of things. You have no idea how much of an asset that is for the aspiring hobbyist. You guys are the genuine deal. I have recently done a small planted tank using many of the tips and tricks you guys have shown. It hasn’t gone perfectly but because of you I haven’t panicked and that’s thanks to you. Thank you so much! The only complaint I have… I already want to do another. Also your fault. 😂
OMG, were you guys as scared out of your wits as much as I was, getting that all inside?!? Then getting the tank up onto the stand! That was a brilliant idea of doing that, by the way! Anyhow, like you guys, I can finally breathe! What a job that was, I'm exhausted, and I wasn't even there! LOL! Thanks guys, for bringing us along for that adventure, it was stressful but so satisfying when done, right? Really looking forward to what happens next with the 8 foot, and whatever else you got going on in the studio. Cheers guys!
Can't believe you guys did that without any help 🤣
Can't wait to see what you guys stock in this beast. Hopefully get some inspiration from your videos for my 150 gallon tank i'm doing this year.
Brilliant video. Love the tank. Can't wait to see the build process!
Inteligente do início ao fim, parabéns não vejo a hora de ver ele montado!!!
Love the doors of the cabinet, and especially the way they cover the bottom of the aquarium. 😊👌
Another great video. Can't wait to see what it looks like stocked and planted.
The suspense.😮.. The drama😱 The fishtank ❤️.... I was on the edge of my seat fellas lol... Love the way your mind works Matt.... Cant wait to see this set up video ..
'We're fish keepers we don't have friends,' New Merch slogan 👍🏼👍🏼
Oh wow my heart was in my mouth watching you both. I never thought you would do it. Amazing work. Cant wait to see it being aquascaped.
Really enjoy watching the two of you work things out. The block method was brilliant, gonna hang on to that one. Can’t wait to see fish in that beautiful tank…
Been watching you guys for about 6 months now. Inspired me to start my first planted tank. Really cool videos you guys have. Keep up the good work!
“If there’s a will there’s a way…”
Such troopers - Congrats 🍾🎈
🐡🐠🐟🐡🐠🐟You 2 are The Dream Team when it comes to setting up your 8 foot tank! Good job🐡🐠🐟🐡🐠🐟
I’m so excited for this build. I can’t wait to see what you two do with it.
I'm not even 10 minutes in, and I have never been so nervous about someone getting a new aquarium! I know you guys get it done, but this is still a nail biter. lol
Watched this video on my lunch break at Walmart in Oakwood GA (USA) You guys are a great team. Matt…genius idea seriously. Enjoy your content. My favorite aquatics channel. You guys are inspiring to us fish nerds. Can’t wait for the next video!!!
Extremely helpful. I'll be getting a 6' waterbox soon and it's stressing me out how to receive and place it. Great solutions!
thinking is not forbidden. i love the way you find solution for coming problems. great job, now i am impatiently waiting for the next episodes!!!!
seriously never do like this at home.. so nerve racking watching u guys (just 2 person) setup 8ft tank.. well done guys!! cannot wait to see the complete tank.. 💪💪💪
So cool. I didn't think a video without any scaping or fish in it would be nearly as fun to watch as that was. You guys did great work and deserve an extra pint. Looking forward to the build...
So cool to watch you both figure it out! We all will be living vicariously throughout the build moving forward! Congrats guys!💪🏻🙌🏻
I was so nervous watching you move everything! I'm glad that neither of you nor the tank got hurt. I can't wait to see what you do next! Gina
Very clever how you guys got that tank up on its cabinet. Top marks! Can’t wait to see it scaped.
Making an 8 ft aquarium out of glass? THATS (one of the many and varied ways) where I went wrong with my megatank!
Let’s go! Feels like ages since this was announced. Can’t wait for this one gents 👍
Cant wait for this build. The tank looks amazing.
Hope you guys took care of the broken polystyrene.
great work guys, MD I like your videos and am inspired when I see your Aquariums....Matt jokes and work knowledge, so amazing
Love watching the problem solving! Well done!!!
What a beutiful move you guys dud there, and i learned something new myself with that pallet/block raising :D
I am exited for the future of this fantastic aquarium !
This video was amazing! Not only because of this stunning aquarium, but you two together are so much fun to watch, and the way you create this videos makes it feel like I'm really there with you, it's so much more than for example watching some movie or so. And oh how I laughed many times!
I can't wait to see how you set it up and scape it. Great teamwork getting the job done.
The two of your definitely had me holding by breath a few times!! So glad it is in and on the stand. I can envision that there will be some things to overcome in being able to reach everywhere you need to in order to do your scape, etc. but I am sure the two of you will overcome those. Enjoy, and I am looking forward to seeing what is next with the huge endeavor.
Very important gents.. that tank is positioned on styrofoam to protect against uneven surface, it’s important it has this as it’s double based so no flexibility. Your looking at the tank to be left empty around 11 or so days before filling as all silicone has to set fully. It took 3 people to put my custom tank in my living room and yours is bigger I’m very impressed by your work. I can’t wait to see this develop and see your ideas. 👏👏👍
👏👏👏 Well done guys. I had a similar problem with a smaller tank last week. I had thought of the the breeze block method that you guys used but instead I invited some mates over for a meal and lifted the tank before I fed them.
Can’t wait to see the tank when it’s all set up great job guys ❤
Big praise to whoever chose the music for the timelapses, they really set the dramatic mood. I was on the edge of my seat! 😂
Great looking tank guys, can't wait to see what you do with it.
GREAT job guys!! I was cheering you both on and laughing, too! Sending you congrats from the US, Virginia! You both are my favorites and I try to keep up with the channel often. Yay to the new 8ft!
That was my dream size aquarium, always wanted to have much space for fish and plant
This video hit close to home. I too installed an 8 ft tank although it’s width and height dimensions were slightly smaller (96x18x24). Heavy beast for sure. I used a combination of dollies, ratchet straps, ramps, and car wheels. The wheels were my bricks - slowly building up three pedestal to pivot the tank as I raised it. No small feat for sure. Great work guys!
That was nerve wracking to watch! But oh so satisfying seeing the tank come together in its place. Can't wait to see what you do with it!
WOW!!! I was a bit nervous for a minute, but y'all came through. I'm so excited to see this tank done up. Way to go guys! 🐠🐟🐡
Love watching you two, geniuses at work and play,no friends except Fishy friends 😂😂😂 living the dream. Love that tank, can't wait to see the scape ❤
You guys are awesome! Look forward to the build!
That was genuine excitement from MD when cabinet was put in place absolutely brilliant felt your joy 🤩 👏👏👏👏👏
This tank is an absolute stunner! I cant wait to see you aquascape it. Knowing you guys its gonna be amazing.
Thanks for sharing. Great to see the process
Can't wait to see the build video of this, you guys are great together. I do miss this maiden head visit videos tho😊
I have a tank from ND Aquatics too. Theyre great. Nice to see you working with them.
Wow!!! 😮 I can’t wait to see the build 😊
OMG wow that is HUGE and HEAVY. WOW. Excellent technique to get it on the stand! Bravo!
Oh yes, we became aware of this come the end. I was doing all the lifts and matt was sliding the blocks. Come the end I was very weak so not lifting as straight. Couldn't have gone a block higher to be honest
@@MDFishTanks you looked so tired lots of work, but worth it! Can't wait to see the aquascape for the 8ft big daddy!
You guys are brilliant! Well done!
Wow.. Brilliant technique 👏 👏
Hello from the Swiss alps! You guys are great ! I get so much inspiration by watching you guys.
You two make a great team!!
Can’t wait to see your tanks evolution.
Enjoy setting this new huge tank up :)
Take care guys ;D
