I’m glad you brought this up! This question comes up a lot: it is not illegal to use bluegill as bait “when they meet the length restriction for the body of water you are fishing and count toward your daily bag limit for that species”. That is our state’s laws but you should check in your home state to make sure you don’t break your states laws!
