Chief LongNailz love your content a lot. I grew up in a small town where I fished a lot of small ponds with Large Mouth bass, Best of Luck from Southern California….
My trip today was like spillway #1. I just got 2 small bass and no crappie. We just can't seem to get Mother Nature to cooperate and give us more than 1 day of nice weather here in missouri yet. But I will keep fishing. Be blessed. My friend.
Love that TRASH FISH!!!! 😅 HEE HEE... Really good videos Brother, nice to get home and chill out with your videos. At least I will have an idea of how to prepare when I visit Arizona.
Nah most of the SRP canals are open for fishing just can’t keep the grass carp, the CAP canals are the ones that are illegal to fish in and usually fenced off all around
I wish the canals ran thru the state, sadly its just the metro Pheonix area. When I lived in peoria we fished the canals an the salt river, Sierra Vista doesnt eeven have a park pond for fish
The actual reason is because that lake has golden algae and the treatment for that particular problem is known as copper sulfate which is a very intense blue color!!!
What GoPro do you use? I am going to use my GoPro hero 7 that I haven’t used in a long while and I’m just wondering if my GoPro 7 is still good enough or is it too old?
Biggest we've got here in Arizona is northern pike, although there is ONE small REMOTE lake/pond (~3 acres) that got stocked with tiger muskie fingerlings back in 2019; those fish are probably in the 25- to 30-in. range and between 7 to 10 lbs. by now !
Well, catch and release fishing helps preserve the fishery immensely. It compensates for the people that keep fish every time they go fishing. Also eating fish out of these canals is something I wouldn’t do due to the pollution.
Although fishing is fishing, this is one sport where SIZE MATTERS, as most fishermen would prefer to, and find it more fun to catch bigger fish, as they put up more of a fight, and are more of a challenge, resulting in a better adrenaline rush than the little guys !
Hey man I want to start a TH-cam channel and I was Looking for some suggestions and I felt like you were the right person to go to for tips so if you have any can you let me know.
Nice! Start with the basics for now. Film with the cleanest angles you can and make it nice to watch (as a viewer). Be yourself on camera, Really think about your video topics before you do them, ask yourself honestly, “Would someone really watch this?” Try and improve something each video and your good to go
Why use the tiniest minnows ever? They're like 1 inchers😂 no wonder yur catching small bass you need som a good size shiners for some good large bass . Something big enuff not to fit in that tiny basses mouth. Your shiners look like half inch to 1 inch at the biggest
Well I basically go on with what the bait shop has at the time. And I disagree, I have caught fairly large fish on tiny minnows, and fairly small fish on bigger minnows it’s all about what’s around at the time. Shiners are not really common around here
@TheFishinMagician20 I get my own minnows and that's basically all i use, the minnows your using are usually referred to as crappie minnows. I use bigger minnows usually and use a bobber at about 1 foot and catch big bass very well.
12:36 That was me! I was sitting at that light and happened to look to over! Love the content!
Heck yea that’s awesome 👏🏼 thank you man 🔥
Where is that spillway located? I do not have boat access so I can only do shore fishing. I have no clue where to go.
Love your energy and personality. You have really entertained me thank you!

Hahaha thank you 🙏🏼 heck yea SOCAL. I’m originally from Vacaville, CA

Shoot it happens, that’s right we keep on fishing 🙏🏼
Spillways and creeks are always goated
Agreed!
Gotta love those BRUISER canal bass haha Spillways are a lot of fun! Never know what you're gonna catch
Love that TRASH FISH!!!! 😅 HEE HEE... Really good videos Brother, nice to get home and chill out with your videos. At least I will have an idea of how to prepare when I visit Arizona.
Thanks ! Heck yea there’s a lot of great fishing here
Has your guys’ bass spawn started yet? When do the carp start spawning?
A lot of them are guarding now
It is diffierent depending on body of water but I think some areas have started and some haven’t quite yet
Where do you get the live minnows from?
You can get them from bass pro or liars corner
What section are they on
these canals have so much variety its crazy dope vids bro
Agreeed ! Thanks for watching
I caught a 20” rainbow out of the canal recently
Dude its so cool seeing you fish some of my secret spots, i have some in the books you wouldn’t believe
I wouldn’t consider these “secret” they get fished alllllll the time
@@TheFishinMagician20 shoot really? I never knew there was bass in any canal till i watched your videos
@@HFArizona yea man haha there’s probably people there rn. But yea man bass all over in the canals
Those canals always make for interesting vids.👍
They sure do! Never know what you’re going to catch!
Nice video! New follower keep on videos!
thank you!
I’m suprised you caught a bass on the last canal I still need to run up n down that one to see what’s up
I’ve seen more above the spillway actually, haven’t tried for them yet tho
@@TheFishinMagician20 ooo I’ll have to stop by there since it’s not too far from me
I thought a lot of the canals were private. How do you know what ones are fine to access?
Nah most of the SRP canals are open for fishing just can’t keep the grass carp, the CAP canals are the ones that are illegal to fish in and usually fenced off all around
Nice video. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the support my man!
What is the thing swimming across behind you? Looks like a good size, what ever it is.
Probably the carp
Big carp good job
Are the fish safe to eat. No more chemicals than all the additives added to our food. Some good fish your catching
i wouldnt think so, but maybe your right. thanks!
great content, would love locations(streets)... i'm out here from N. cali and am always looking for bass spots...
I wish the canals ran thru the state, sadly its just the metro Pheonix area. When I lived in peoria we fished the canals an the salt river, Sierra Vista doesnt eeven have a park pond for fish
Yea I know some people don’t really have much by them
Question in some of the ponds in AZ why do they tint the water blue?
That is usually because of the heat. Darker water doesn’t allow as many sun rays through, which keep the fish from overheating
The actual reason is because that lake has golden algae and the treatment for that particular problem is known as copper sulfate which is a very intense blue color!!!
can you makea video comparing slack line vs tight line when resting your rod down for carp or catfsih
caiuse some people say either is better
Tube jig smeared with “smelly jelly” works well in canals.
What GoPro do you use? I am going to use my GoPro hero 7 that I haven’t used in a long while and I’m just wondering if my GoPro 7 is still good enough or is it too old?
That should be good my guy, still use my eight it does well!
Hero 7 is plenty good, I used my hero 5 for years and only upgraded just for the slight boost in audio and quality.
@@TheFishinMagician20 which one do you have now?
@@GodandFishin oh had an 8 but just recently got a 9 maybe 2 weeks ago
Are there any near Kingman?
awesome bro!
Thanks man! Hope all is well out there!
Stocked ponds are unpredictable 😅
When u said minnows I thought 10 inch creek chubs😂
lol I wish
You should try some gar fishing if you have any in Arizona
None here unfortunately the closest is probably Texas

Would gummy bears catch carp? Seems like they might eat it.
I want to ask.. why do people release fish that they've cought?
Well, catch and release fishing helps preserve the fishery immensely. It compensates for the people that keep fish every time they go fishing. Also eating fish out of these canals is something I wouldn’t do due to the pollution.
At least somebody will take em haha
Lol
Please bring back pond fishing for catfish and bass
Pond catfishing is comin soon
How long have been there now
What
I can’t image cast netting in these canals 😮
Sometimes it’s epic, sometimes nada lol
Let's Gooooooooo

🔥🔥🔥
I've seen a lot of carp fishing videos they always use corn why don't you try corn
Beautiful cast for a beautiful man 🤫
😂😂😂
Fishings fishing man. Regardless. Who cares what size, you still caught something and got outside and got a line in the water.
agreed

@@alphonsenormand9552 I agree, but still love catching anything when the skunk has been horrible 😂

My only gripe with fishing in public areas is constantly being bothered. "YOu CaN FiSH iN tHeRE?!?¿?"

Garlic mellows.......
REBEL Crawdad
Why are you leaving your best friend tied to the car?
he wanders and every responsible dog owner should have a dog leashed lol. He also tips the camera over if hes not because of the long leash
not going to be bigger one from wwhat i saw on previous vids of the area when they killed off most of the bigger fish
Never know, fish travel fast in the canals
Looks like Fresno lmao
lol not quite
First
Big dubs
Funny, this video is a month old and only 21k views; but the one you released six days ago has about 350k views….. TH-cam algorithm.
Wasup
All the floating garbage ruined the fishing spot for me

all srp canals are fishable.
