      I'll be honest my bro, I don't know the major differences regarding the history with Tesla sensors other than what I've read online. Also, I trust myself over any tech in a car. From what I've seen in my car, the sensory need a lot more improvement and I think once Tesla vision is up and running, things should be better. Although my model came with the sensors, USS were never enabled.

    Surprised it came with the sensors. I get my Model Y Performance in two days, cannot wait! Have a 2022 M3LR currently and looking forward to the new suspension!

      @gervaismathew hey thanks for the comment. I spoke with a mobile tech who advised that I have an early version 2023 which were delivered with sensors. However, it will be switched to Tesla Vision which will make use of the camera for radar sensing which will deactivate the sensors. The only drawback is aesthetically where the sensors are visible. I don't mind itm for now, it's using the sensors as I haven't received any documentation regarding vision. The mobile tech did advise this change will happen soon. Hope that helps.     Ordered my MYLR in March 2022…didn’t take delivery until Nov. 18 so I’ve had it less than a week. Glad I got the ‘23 rather than the ‘22 model

    Quick question! I was supposed to receive a model y long range twice they kept extending my delivery dates because they the cars have minor imperfection during transport. Which requires the car to go to the Tesla body shop

      Hey, thanks for watching and for the comment. Congrats on your order and sorry to hear about your delays : (. Did you already receive a vin#? Has your EDD reached a 7 day range? 7 seater? This is the key indicator that your vehicle is close. If you're specifically saying that you scheduled delivery and they cancelled a few days prior to delivery that sucks and has occurred. You'll need to be a little bit more patient. They are having a lot of issues with the 2023. I have another vid coming soon, basically they are replacing the rear seat, front passenger restraint system, and are going to adjust the trunk door. If they cancel, you still get the next vin available with the same spec as you. Please like and subscribe 🙏🏾.

    still no matrix headlights LMFAO! crazy to think 2023 model Y units still have that old style headlights with no active bending or pixel LED tech

      Thanks for watching and for the comment. I was really hoping for the matrix lights but it was temporary due to stock shortages that some MYLRs came with it. I am sure they will soon move towards this shift. I have to say that the regular headlights are fantastic and the auto high beam feature really works well in illuminating the road at head when visibility is poor. Please like and subscribe 🙏🏾

    I'm scheduled to pick up my 2023 Seven seater next week here in Texas. I am wondering if the 7-seater comes with the magnetic cargo cover as mentioned from other resources. From what I've seen the cover only comes with the 5-seaters. Thanks.

      Thanks for watching and the comment. I've watched and discussed this with other TH-camrs who picked up similar vehicles with 5 or 7 seaters. It looks like US based deliveries are more fortunate when it comes to the cargo covers and from what I've concluded, you may have a better chance of getting one if your car is made in the Texas plant.       I picked up my 7 seater LR on Feb 17 2023 Fremont build and it has no cargo cover or parking sensors but I did get the matrix headlights.

    Sorry about your experience. I had to decline delivery of my car due to panel gap issues and the door not closing properly ( i had to slam the door 3 times to close it). My account was put on hold for 7 days but once the hold ended i was assigned a vin the same day. I was told that if i dont take the next car they will cancel my order. Hope the next car is good.

      Thanks for watching and the comment. That sucks and I feel your pain. 2 of my door did not close fully until I slammed it shut but after a few days, it was good. Perhaps the seal is too new, since Tesla uses thicker seals for noise reduction. Keep me posted on your next delivery and sorry to hear about your experience. My vehicle, if rejected, would have take awhile before another vin is assigned as the 7 seater option is not on their priority list. Please like and subscribe.

    thanks for sharing your story about delivery. Nicely explained every detail about documenting repairs. Interestingly I have booked my LR on Feb 21st, they gave delivery window from Nov 24 to Dec 8th. Now delivery window showing Dec - 2022. They did not mentioned about date, they mentioned entire month. Do you have any thoughts about delivery window.

Once the delivery estimate falls in a 1 week window, that's the indication your car is coming. Watch my prior videos of delivery times and windows, I go into great detail. The DEC delivery is temporary, it will change Sunday night else Monday morning. Please keep me updated on your vin and EDD. Please like and subscribe.

We are moving from an old KIA sedan to this (planning for switching to electric for a while). Checking lot of youtube reviews for model y

    Bought 22 Y Performance. Put 20K down got VIN but have yet to take delivery. Is the 23 that much better?What do you think my options are?

      Hey,
      thanks for watching and the comment. Congratulations on your order. Have you confirmed the vin is actually a 2022 model using an online vin decoder? In my OPINION, if you order a Performance model, you will most likely end up with a 2022 model and this is based on the number of abandoned orders. If you go take a look at the current availability in inventory, you'll only find long ranges for the year 2023(I did see a red 2023 Performance the Toronto area). I cannot say if the 2023 is that much better than the 2022 for you, for me it was because I got the long range and I only cared to have the dash trim carry over to the door, better suspension (not much difference but you'll feel the difference), and I feel they made it quiter. That being said, the performance is vastly different in that it is created for more of a racing feel. I cannot comment on the difference of the 2022 and 2023 Performance. However, I suggest you speak to someone at the dealership, physically, and see if they've delivered any 2023 Performance vehicles yet. This will give you an indication if you are even close to getting one and obtain a timeline of how long you might have to wait to get a 2023 in your area. That being said, I am almost certain that anyone would want the latest year possible to get all the updates both tangible and intangible to a specific year. In my opinion, if you don't need a vehicle right now and you can survive waiting another 6 months to see what happens with the vehicle industry, I think you would be better off. I don't think you'll receive a 2023 Performance anytime soon and until your region has sold all 2022 Performance models in existing inventory first. You can always defer but their is a risk of being pushed to the end of the que (I have also heard the opposite and you'll get a another vin soon after) but if you push it more than once, they may cancel your order altogether. When do they usually give you the pick up date/time selection prior to delivery? like 2-3 days? I'm worried I might not have enough time to get my insurance done and book an appointments for ppf and such things.

      @@wincall14kenny Hey thanks for watching, subbing, and participating 🙏🏾. I here ya...insurance will not take long, the time issue is if you are shopping around for the best rate. Depending on the location of pickup, they may not call you at all. You'll get an automated message if pickup is at Scarborough; they're too busy. PPF, I skipped on it in the end because if I resell in a few years to get the new model, you probably won't recoup what you put in...to each its own. The PPF also will need to be replaced over a 3 to 5 year period. I got this info from a top PPF dealer in Scarborough. I would call Tesla and ask all your questions? If they are of no help, I am here to answer friend.

      @@wincall14kenny I got you always, I don't know everything but I'll find out....tint: the vehicle is pre-tinted from factory - rear is dark front windows are light tint based on the hwy traffic act in Canada. The panoramic roof is tinted as well. My best answer for you, is wait. Majority of items you don't need brother, don't waste your hard earned money. I live up north and travel on the hwy non stop with plenty trucks everywhere. If you drove a Ferrari, Lambo, Bentley, or Rolce, I get the expensive custom paints. I did the math and the PPF is a hella waste of cash.

    Most likely Tesla is a good car but their Delivery service is worst than any third world country. I ordered my MYLR on 06/22 & suppose to pick up the car from Owing mills , MD. I went their 3 times & still no car. 1st visit 12/17, identified paint issue on the rear door & they need to replace the door & suppose to update me(no update). I went their 12/23 2nd time, sales rep told me, he forget to call & car will be ready 12/24. I’ll get call in 12/24(no call). Sob I call & they said car is ready. When I was there they told me the door is not installed yet & they moved the date 12/26 most likely they’ll miss the date too. In the mean time, my bank is charging me interest & I do not have the car. Tesla outsourced delivery date checks on to the customers so u don’t identify any issue & most likely u’re not gonna identify any issue as u’re waiting months for the car & U’re excited. The delivery folks don’t communicate with u if u have any issue. I just don’t know why Tesla don’t outsource their customer service to east Europe or India. If u have any issue with your car then u’ll have horrible experience

    Seems to be the thing with Tesla. I get it, supply can’t keep up with demand so quality control is subpar. However, understanding doesn’t mean accepting. Spending over $70K on car I can careless what the excuses are. The car needs to be flawless.
    I feel like if Tesla going to be acting like it’s okay to come with some flaw, how about a discount for the flaws. That’s fair. Other than that sorry to hear your bad experience. My pickup is scheduled between for December and watching videos like yours is preparing to have a checklist and magnifying glass 🔍 😅
