I Stand with Temuera Morrison! BOBA FETT REVEALS THE TRUTH

  • Temuera Morrison has discussed some of the real behind the scenes that happened with the Book of Boba Fett and shoving Mandalorian Din Djarin in there, as well as how he - Boba Fett - was supposed to be in The Mandalorian Season 3. I believe he said these things in a light hearted manner on stage at the comic con panel, however I believe what he said echoes the typical cuts and meddling that Disney has been doing with Star Wars since their acquisition from George Lucas.
I don't think this is a Tem vs Disney thing, I think he just gave us all some very real info that we didn't expect anyone to talk about, confirming a lot of theories about how the Mandalorian Season 3 ending was changed into a...in my opinion...lame and safe one.
I stand with Temuera Morrison and believe he should have his own show ALL about Boba Fett and that they should listen to him when it comes to his own character that George Lucas taught him how to portray. Boba was way too kind and soft in Book of Boba, we need him back for real this time in Book of Boba Fett season 2.
Thank you for watching today's video. I hope you have a great day, and I'll see you in the next one! May the force be with you, ALWAYS!

I didn't like a lot of things in BoBF, but I loved a few parts so much. Temuera Johnson and Ming-Na Wenn are amazing snd perfect for their roles. And we got black Krr'Santan too, that was one of my favourite characters growing up. And we got to see the Tusken. Finally! Too bad the creators didn't respect the source material and probably bowed to studio interference.
Star wars has its own unique look and feel with so much space to explore, yet they stick to greasers for the cyborgs? Westerns, samurai films and classic sci-fi are its roots. They could stleast adjust their look a little, that scooter thing was so out of place

Temuera is one of us. Loves Boba Fett, loves the fans, loves his job. Disney doesn’t deserve a talent like him that regardless of if he's joking, I do feel so bad for him. Given the chance to play possibly the coolest character with such little screentime, and the fools at Disney fucked it up for him because he was very critical about how they were portraying Fett. he said This fett talks too much. He wanted the helmet on more. He knew it sucked.

@@marcoslaureano5562 Well, the sales of everything SW is in an all-time low. Of course, when your normal is being one of the most profitable IP's in history that might not seem that low, but It's still bad. Ratings for this shows are hard to quantify, but many sources are giving really bad viewership numbers to add to that.
To be honest, SW is worst than decaying, It is stuck in a limbo where people just don't care about it anymore. Even some of the biggest Disney's C-suckers like Star Wars Explained are not hyping stuff anymore, views on SW channels are in an all-time low as well. There is simply no collective will amongst target audiences to move the franchise forward, as interest on the stuff Disney does slowly plummets.
And I will be honest, the Rey movie announcement kind of killed any chance this franchise has. It will flop worse than Solo did and exist forever as the ultimate example of Kathleen Kennedy's incompetence and arrogance. People are trying to forget that Daisy Ridley was ever a part of Star Wars, and then they give her a fucking movie? What's next, ressurecting Johnson's Trilogy? FUCK THEM ALL.

Maybe Boba didn't appear in Mando season 3 because it would distract from the evolution of Bo Katan. You know how Disney doesn't like to showcase classic characters when there is a strong female character. Rey comes to mind with regard to Luke in the Force Awakens. I agree season 3 of Mando was subpar. I would have enjoyed seeing Boba back with Din in a few episodes. Bo, Din and Boba in a scene together would be awesome as well, but only if it is classic Boba, not the town Mayor Boba from BOBF. Maybe Boba will be back in season 4 when they realize ratings suck and they need Boba and Luke. Disney needs to hire Theory to be a story consultant to provide input before the projects film. You have the most knowledgeable expert on Star Wars next to George Lucas and they don't reach out. We are at a critical point in Star Wars where fans are getting tired of seeing legacy characters like Boba get the shaft!

Then they completely botched him by making him weak for the majority of his own series, and leaving the badass moments mostly in Fennec’s hands (for obvious reasons), and when he regained his strength they shifted focus to Luke, Ahsoka, Fennec, Mando, Grogu, and the Burger King robo-kids club.

Boba in S2 of Mando had a good balance. He had a code that he followed but had a very sharp edge to him. He didn't hold back when he needed to fight and all the years of being a bounty hunter shaped him to efficiently eliminate any opponent in his way. BUT he doesn't just kill for the sake of it. When we see him going forward, we should celebrate his lethality and ALSO understand why he is doing it.

    • @sawyeratkinson

He doesn't need a balance. When I was first introduced to Boba in empire, he was a ruthless soldier of fortune who needed to be reminded "no disintegrations" by fricken vader. He took a majority of his work from the empire! They should have let him be an completely ruthless, greedy, job done at all costs, incredibly tactical and patient predator. Would have been a good foil to din and a showdown would have been epic. One working for the republic, one for the empire, using all the tricks and gear and allies they've earned along the way in that "space western showdown" we all wanted....

His code should have been expanded on
You can tell he sees value in people with value
But we should have seen him absolutely body people left right and center
Season 2 of Mando shows that he isn’t afraid to body people who dis him
And we should have gotten that and then some
I’m talking peaky blinders, soprano’s, boardwalk empire sorta stuff
Obviously toned down a lot, less blood, no cursing, and at least a little empathy
      But still
Boba was a man of fortune, a killer
He is supposed to be an Anti-Villain
Someone we could relate to, but realize is still a bad guy
But Disney would never have a main character be a villain
Imagine tho, a gang war between boba and his enclave of bounty hunters, thieves, soldiers of fortune and pirates on tatooine, fighting an army of Hutt soldiers and gangsters who are trying to force boba to let them sell slaves and drugs on tatooine and in the surrounding systems under boba’s boot
      It would be awesome
Friends made, backstabbing’s, double crossings and triple crossings, amazing dialogue and the whole 9 yards
Could have shown Boba being against spice, against slavery, but still show him being a bad dude (which he is) then show him being a bad dude, showing no remorse for a slaver who’s just trying to make enough money to feed his own family, show him slaughtering drug dealers, or putting on a hit for those dealers, who were only selling and harmed no one
      Make it ambiguous
Make us question if what he is doing is right…

This all boils down to Disney’s weird obsession with super short seasons. With the two Mando episodes in BOBF, how that show set up a season 3 appearance, and the pacing jump from episodes 1-6 to 7 and 8 leads me to believe that Mando season 3 should’ve been 12 episodes. BOBF should’ve also only told the story of his 5 years with the Tuskens and ended with him leaving to get his armor back, directly connecting into Mando where you could jump into that episode of season 2 straight from the BOBF finale

  • @GoodwillWright
    @GoodwillWright ปีที่แล้ว +25

The most disappointing thing about Book of Boba Fett is that it had something there. And honestly just some tweaking and reworking events and focus could've made it a good season even if not great.
Me personally, I loved the Tusken Raider part. And I loved the idea of Boba Fett being tired of working for people who will get him killed. So becoming an underground boss is quite frankly fitting in my opinion. Problem is... that he started to become inefficient (nice), and not for any good reason either. I understand the development, but it came from a place of naivety rather than experience which Boba should be one of THE MOST experience.
One of the best scenes in BoBF is when he, unannounced, merked the biker gang in his Slave I. THAT'S the Boba Fett I knew and I expected to see more of that ruthless efficiency. Except with a purpose rather than just simply someone else paid him to.
You could have Boba Fett operating with respect rather than fear and it could've had plenty of good call backs as to why the Empire and the Republic fell and Boba Fett would try to establish an order without their weakness in his own empire. Focusing more on stabilizing rather than expansion, mutual trust and respect, but also respecting the fist that will be brought down if crossed.
Boba has lived through 2 major galactic wars. He should be one of the most savvy people out there. Especially since he doesn't really have a religion or politics to bind him to any arbitrary belief, he's free to make his own.

It didn't rely on an external person or individual to help din and co. overcome the antagonist (putting aside whether or not that was the real Gideon or in fact one of the clone contingencies). The mandalorians truly were stronger together, as said by bo katan and the armorer, and this fact may have been diminished had luke/ahsoka/someone else come in to help them out, seeing as this has been the template for in BOBF/mando s2. I will say that there were many continuity/general writing mistakes and questionable choices with this season and it seems like the plot is circling redundantly, but this decision was one of the things I liked. Yeah, there is a balance though. There are ways you can introduce characters to set up future shows/seasons without it feeling like the characters brought in are overshadowing the characters that the show is meant to be about.
You can justify the ahsoka & boba fett appearance in mando s2, as it fits into the storyline, and I also didn't mind them introducing the bad batch in cw s7.
However, they defiantly gave too much focus on Reva, which wasn't needed since we were all watching for kenobi and vader, and that should've be enough to sell that series. Plus with it first meant to be a standalone movie, and even calling it a "limited series" I don't know why they tried treating it like a multiple seasons show like mando. (although it is Disney).
And yeah, what they did to BOBF by injecting those 2 mando eps into it was borderline criminal, shows how little they cared for boba's character, and I'd find it hard to believe that that decision wasn't made by someone with only profits $$ on their mind.

I would pay anything to continue the story of Ben Skywalker falling for Vestara Khai, the girl from the lost tribe of the Sith. A strong male character (Luke, Mando, Boba) is "toxic." They must either be weakened, or replaced with strong female characters (Bo, Reva, etc.) The Mandalorian, with a strong male lead, was unacceptable. Boba being strong and formidable was unacceptable. Obi-Wan being the focus of his own show was unacceptable. I'm surprised they're allowing Andor to remain about...Andor. We'll see what happens in season two. But yeah, everything is a mess at Lucasfilm, because they don't care about the story, the characters, the lore, or the fan base. It's frustrating for fans who DO care about those things, and just want them to put out a good product.

I personally think Disney is slowly putting George’s work in the trash can, new fans don’t even know who Jango or what kind of relation Boba’s relation was with him, we were heading in the right direction for season 2 and Disney somehow messed it up with a shitty Mando season

Temuera is mirroring mark hamill during the last Jedi. These men understood their characters and what the fans would appreciate about them. But the Disney hacks interfere as always and ruin what could have been good Star Wars content. This will not change until all of the current regime are replaced with competent storytellers

The book of Boba fett actually devastated my dwindling interest in star wars. Season 2 of Mando was good but not as good as season 1. But I was always a huge Boba fan so I was immensely hyped. I only watched episode 1 oc book of Boba fett and it was so bad I never finished it.

The way they just undid the ending of Mando Season 2 is what broke me, Luke took Grogu in the ending of season 2, just so we could have him back on season 3? There were no repercussions on anything regarding that intense finale that shook the entire fandom back in 2020.

I hate how writers, (And this seems to be happening A LOT in Star Wars right now) disregard the actors opinions on the writing. Some of the best films and TV shows out there were made with a collaborative effort from EVERYBODY making it. Mark Hamill, John Boyega and now Temeura Morrison, all been disrespected and treated as props rather than creators. Very frustrating. Makes me personally not want to watch much of the future shows if this is how they treat their actors.

They really did play it safe and didn't give him much depth. They could have dived more deeper into his relationship with his father. What it meant for him to live up to his father and the pressure that followed, especially with cad bane keeps reminding him of. You can still have the sand people arc, cuz now boba is choosing his own path different from his father.

  • @Larkinovic
    @Larkinovic ปีที่แล้ว +3

I always thought those dreams/flashbacks of Boba as a kid see his dad fly away was suppose to imply Boba is going a different path from his father, a more right path, not necessarily a clean path. Having gone through a near death experience by being digested in the Sarlacc's stomach for 6 years, I can image has shifted his perspective and outlook in his life as a bounty hunter. From being fearful to being a respected bounty hunter, was what the point developing the character to be more fleshed out like Mando. Boba was inspired by Blondie from Good Bad and the Ugly, a right, but not entirely good person. I just hate that Disney didn't execute his development well and have Mando shit all over him when it should be the other way around. Boba is the original Mando, he should be more badass than Din Djarin.

So you liked the part where Boba spent years with the Tuskens after they saved him, and how he grew to understand how to be part of something bigger than just himself, but don’t like the result? The best single scene in the season, aside from the Luke episode, was Boba wiping out the Nitko gang in Slave-1. Then he killed Cad Bane, using the fighting style he learned from the Tuskens, which Cad Bane didn’t teach Boba so wasn’t prepared for.
The biker gang was a bit shit, but the Boba we ended up with is a more rounded and mature character, though still one that has badassery in him when required. That’s consistent with Mando S2, otherwise he would have simply killed Din and Grogu when he had the tactical advantage - they meant nothing to him.

Disney really does just keep spitting in our faces with Star Wars. It enfuriates me that even actors like Mark Hamill and Temuera Morrison speak out about the treatment of their characters and yet nothing is changed. Im sure Ewan and Hayden probably feel the same about their characters in the Obi-Wan show.
I havent been able to watch the new season lately but the way its been talked about leaves me disappointed as Mando is what reignited my love for Star Wars in the first place after the poop show that was the sequels, so it hurts theyre messing up with that too.

Honestly, with how Disney runs starwars, shows they never understood it in the first place. Not dissing anyone who enjoys any of the shows/movies or any of the actors. But the force isn't female or male. It's for all. Disney would make great sith, which is why they had to kill Luke. But sooner or later the Darkside will always destroy itself.

It sucks because I loved the series overall. He definitely fit the legends version after the Vong, though of course different events. I loved his relationship with Din. But holy shit we needed more of it! I honestly think the first season should have been primarily him living with the Tuskans, leaving to get his armor (as scene in mandalorian) returning to his new Tuskan friends, avenging them in armor. More disintegrations, then ending with him killing Fortuna as seen in the end of season 3 of Mandalorian.
I also would love a series when Boba tries to be a Journeyman Protector.
