Andor is such a surprise to me because of just how good it was. Sure it may not be the most Lucas-esque show, but it paid it's respects to the lore and was so rich in quality from real-life locations to acting and writing. There was zero hype for the show and it turned out to be the highest quality Disney era show. I really hope the Andor team continues to work on Star Wars projects after Season 2.
It's honestly more lucas-esque then takes of the Jedi. Combining relevant politics with sci fi, while having realistic depiction of the empire. I was honestly so surprised when theory said tales of Jedi felt like it was written by Lucas, and his reasoning was that they used dooku.
I loved all the political stuff in this show acting on point cinematography on point built on existing characters so well. The only thing i think it could add would be more aliens but its the best thing since episode 3 imo. No filler just high quality story telling
Mando season 3 had 1 below average episode, Andor had 6 bad episodes, I felt like I wasted my time watching those episodes, Mandalorian even the Bad episodes made me feel some care for the characters, Andor doesn’t
I can't watch the first 2-3 episodes of Andor. Slowest of burns...and the onus of those episodes never gets realized. (finding Andor's sister) I enjoyed most of the rest of the arcs...mostly the prison arc with Andy Serkis. I still remember the let down I felt...when Mon Mothma had this big dinner coming up with a key politician inside Palpatine's circle....and Gilroy blue-balled us! Like come on....give me that political tension like from House of Cards....but nope, happens offscreen...she bitches it out with her husband who just might be a plant...which kind of sucks....I wish her family was a solid support system...but alas. Disney said, hell naw.
Glad I’m seeing all the Andor support. It’s so gritty and amazing. It captures the vibe of rouge one so well, a lot of people’s favorite Star Wars movie, and shows some of the darker aspects of the rebels too. The writing and dialogue clearly tops any Star Wars show or movie created by disney
@@sophieamandaleitontoomey9343I was fucking shocked when the guy first said that shit lmao. A tier at worst, personally(and many others in the comments) S tier. Pacing may feel slow for some people in the middle episodes of each arc but except for that, everything was damn good

In my opinion, Andor not being the most "star wars" show works to its benefit. It offers a fresh take on the franchise and gives us a brand new story that I think is very cool. It's nice seeing different adventures in the galaxy.
I really want to say that people say that Andor being the least not Star Wars show is because there’s 0 to little fan service. Imo he should’ve shit all over ahsoka but he didn’t, reason being probably, because it was chalk full of fan service
Also Rosario Dawson although I don’t blame her, is the most unathletic actor/actress in the Star Wars universe. She looked sluggish during all the fights compared to who she was fighting against be it Hayden, Diana Lee, and ray Stevenson. Its really not believable that she won those fights and that’s part of what killed ahsoka for me, not going to even mention Sabine and the butchering of hera
@@1shogunate696yeah i realize she lowkey cant hang… gotta get a stunt double for future shows. I feel like the show would’ve felt faster if the saber fights weren’t so sluggish
That is the dumbest take ever lmao. We want Star Wars period. Why would you want a STAR WARS show not to feel like Star Wars. You can have fresh and new stories and feel like this is perfect Star Wars. But Andor is not it my brother. I am actually hopeful for season 2 because he’s actually joining the rebels and is going to fight the empire. But season 1 just felt like a weird si fi type of space show. I literally only watch Star Wars lmao so I know what the feel is if that makes sense.
Andor is easily the best show for me that they have made. I really don't understand why people think its boring, there was interesting build or action the whole way through. Ands with it being split into arcs I feel it better kept your attention. And it offered a grittier side of Star Wars I really wanted to see
Most star wars fans just want to soy face at shoehorned cameos. They've been conditioned by Disney slop to accept bad productions and even cheer them on in a lot of situations
The clone wars did all of what you said and 10x more. For some reason andor fans can never get over the fact that the animated shows are better than it
@@everettbalkcom The Clone Wars is amazing but it was heavily inconsistent, there were a lot of filler episodes. Andor is pretty much a straight shot all the way through, very little filler. It's hard to compare the two though, because CW is an anthology-esque show while Andor is a serial drama. Very different tones and styles
@thenonartist4366 the show averaged like 20 episodes a season bro so it's obviously gonna have filler here and there when there's a total of 133 episodes like what. Every show that avergaes 20 episodes a season has filler like what. To say that andor is better cuz it has no filler with only 12 episodes isn't a very good argument😂
I thought Andor was fantastic, and a well needed break from the Star Wars mold. I can undertand why some people didn’t like it, but for me it was a type of Star Wars media I’ve been wanting for years
People just want lightsabers and anakin in everything apparently. This was the first show to really get me excited about Star Wars again, too bad the quality hasn’t been continued.
Andor was incredible. A tier minimum. It casts a long and dark shadow on all the acting performances on all other shows/movies. We need more narrative like it in Star Wars.
@@SheriffSticky And the other F tier shows like Ahsoka, BOBF, Kenobi etc.... did ? Take away the fan service and cameos in these and there's nothing left, Andor doesn't need any of that.
Andor didn't have the flashy star wars stuff. But to me felt very star wars. Especially if u played some of the SW video games that focused more on smugglers or things other than Jedi. Even the 1st part of Swkotor. Or one of my old school faves shadows of the Empire. It was grittier and darker. And at the same time had a more thought out plot that stands on its own better than alot of shows that rely on the SW spectacle for success. Andor easy A for me
I don't get why so many seem to be against the idea of having Star Wars shows that explore the gritty rebels/soldiers/smugglers/etc side of things like Andor alongside the classic stuff.
@@keepmovingforward1722 I'm sorry to hear that. Fans in general can be a bit overbearing sometimes I guess. My problem is with giving it a C because "it doesn't feel like Star Wars." Having shows like Andor does a good job of showing that even in the world of Star Wars, jedi are exceptionally uncommon. The contrast help with the perspective and the mystique of jedi and the force. I guess people might also think that giving it a good score would make Disney think fans only want the gritty which is the wrong conclusion.
I dont mind gritty star wars, alot of dark horse comics to this perfect, but andor I think completely missed the vibe and story that kinda goes nowhere

What fans fail to understand is that Mando and Ahsoka are building a new timeline that combines PT, OT and TCW content and characters. It's not "just cameos" to have characters who exist in the timeline being involved in events. It's not like the Vader nostalgia bait in RO, where Vader changes nothing, in a movie that changes nothing. For example, Ahsoka meeting Luke changes the perspective that both characters have about Anakin. While the Mando era can develop the story going forward, Andor is a dead end leading straight into RO, another dead end.
They aren't cameos though. Cameos are the short-term appearance of well-known characters. Nothing in their show was cameo, it was actual relevant events.
@@Ruylopez778 Andor provides a huge wealth of depth to the Empire and the Rebels - it's about far more than the origin story for a forgotten character.
@@JonnySamSam "a huge wealth of depth" to something that's already gone. It's a show with more runtime than the prequels, and it makes nothing new. To pretend it's important is to misunderstand why it flopped on Disney+. It's no different than the Solo prequel; it fills in details we didn't ask and don't need.
I think Andor was different. I agree with Theory, it's not 100% Star Warszy. But it was different and fresh. The struggle that Casian had to go through really showed a different perspective of the Star Wars universe. I think it was great.

I'd put Andor a Solid A tier, TCW gets the only S tier from me, Rebels also shares A tier. Once the first season is done Rebels has the best character stories since the OT, TCW has a lot of crappy episodes and less character but it just has SO much.. so the decent pushes it higher.

Andor was a masterpiece I still get chills every time I see Skargaurds's monologue in a dumb TikTok or shout Andor is a Star Wars show so sublime that is smarter than much of its audience. Andor created a whole feeling about the Empire ( a dreadful tyranny, the tension that was emerging from the soul of the citizens) and established why the rebels were formed and fought so hard against this dictatorship regime. Best writing (a simple plot that gained such meaning), fabulous actors (they were not the classic stereotypes; but boy they delivered every line so real) with a low budget and that was amazing. Yes, it was a long journey but let's not forget that in life the good things take time. When he has no choice 'Boba vs. Stormtroppers in Mandalorian,' then he regresses and makes the example.
I think what made Andor so good to me was the fact it didn't feel like typical Star Wars. It didn't rely on cameos or in your face references to keep me interested. It was clearly set in the Star Wars galaxy, finally made the Empire scary and gave a good representation of how the rebellion formed without shoving lightsabers or the force down our throats. You get a sense of a lived-in world, with day-by-day struggles by common folk under the Empire and the lengths people have to go to to try to make a difference. For me it's one of the best TV shows full stop and lifts rogue one and the originals (which is by far my favourite trilogy)
It also wasn't full of plot holes or bad set design, like remember that laser-gate from Kenobi? They were on foot, they could have just walked around it.

I think Andro was great. People complained of it being slow and not further providing cannon material to the Star Wars universe.... But I saw it differently, the rebel's struggle on its early formation has given us a small peek to the sacrifice that's needed in order to restore balance to the force. Like people freaking died regardless if the main character made the right choice. Even when he made the right choice that will ultimately benefit the rebel.... he became a nobody at the prison for a while. This spoke the harsh reality during the rise of the empire.

Honestly, Rebels is an A. Some of the most pivotal moments in canon were portrayed in this show: The Grand Inquisitor, Ahsoka vs. Darth Vader, Ahsoka’s death/resurrection, the WBW itself, Darth Maul’s death, the reveal of Luminara’s fate, a superb portrayal of Thrawn (better than the Ahsoka show). @@repticare101 I mean it kinda is the best written project of Star Wars since the originals. The prequels have horrid dialogue at times, lack direction, and many of the CGI effects are aging in many scenes and the sequels were just a disaster in all aspects except visuals. B Tier-Rebels bad batch (both solid shows) C Tier-Kenobi D Tier- BOBF Haven’t watched resistance or 2003 clone wars. I love everything A tier and up. Andor will quickly become s tier if season 2 is just as good.
I feel like with Andor whether people like it or not really comes down to this "it doesn't feel like Star Wars". For me I kinda think maybe that is what the Star Wars galaxy feels like for the little guy, when there are no Jedi and grand politics involved. I wouldn't want Star Wars to only be this, I would for sure get bored very soon. But I'm still happy a quality product like this exists that gives a different perspective and tells a story in a different style. It really just sucks that of all the shows Disney has put out, THIS had to be the one with the highest quality of production. If Boba-Fett and Obi-Wan had been great, nobody would complain about Andor.
Yea imagine disney put their line so low that even Andor is praised, bad times we are in now. Andor was ok at best, it felt very artificial. But still better then most crap they are pumping lately
This is really helpful for me as a new Star Wars fan because your opinions seem to be pretty good, I feel like the majority of internet users have GOD AWFUL taste in films and shows, usually just sticking to whatever memes they've seen and then listening to other people with bad taste.
Andor is by far S tier. Felt the most like Star Wars, had the best story, and amazing production, directing and acting. (Not every show needs to have fan service every episode to keep you hooked, sorry theory)
I was going to watch this until I saw the comments say Andor is in C tier. I don’t really know how anyone above the age of 15 couldn’t love this show. People only say it was too slow because they gave up after episode 2
At least Andor doesn’t feel silly and stupid like all the other new star wars. The fighting is just so bad. Its hard to get over for me but I love Star Wars and it’s always been one of my biggest hobbies. I’m so sad rn man. Star Wars is in a bad place although Ashoka was ok
Andor should have been in the S tier... How didn't it feel like Star Wars? Because it lacked Jedi and Sith lightsaber fights or over the top dramatic moments every 5 seconds? The show was slow for a reason, this is how you build characters and backstory for virtually unknowns. I mean, the other shows and movies have tons of backstory already. To me the pace was perfect. I'd much rather have amazing story and world building then just cutting right to the climatic fight scene every episode. The payoff in Andor was cinematic and epic. 10/10 to me. This is how you world build and grow an attachment to the characters because they feel vulnerable and relatable. All the other shows feel disconnected. Like, there is no danger, everyone is super human and unstoppable and there's no stakes to lose or major consequences to themselves. Andor is not bound by those rules and thus you're more invested in what will happen. Never once did I feel unsure about what was going to happen to Mando (another unknown character / world builder show like Andor) or any of the other shows.. everything / everyone is so predictable and eye rolling. Sure, those shows are good in their own right but Andor is like watching Friday prime time drama and the other shows feel like watching Saturday morning cartoons. :-P
Curious to know what you don’t like about Andor! The speeches in that show gave me more chills than the entirety of every other Disney Star Wars show combined.
he is ranking andor c tier as a star wars show if you would rank it as a standalone it's the best one in terms of overall quality but yeah not really good star wars lore wise and such.
@@darkpro0031 have to disagree big time about it being boring. It's a character and dialogue driven show and it still had a healthy amount of action, and tension throughout basically the whole series. I also think some think it doesn't "feel like star wars" because it's telling such a wholly different story about characters who really have no involvement with the jedi, or the force, or past events, or any of it. Cassian gets swept up in some BS he wants nothing to do with, but the call to be great ends up being too strong. Freaking love that show! lol
I like how you talked up Andor at first as a S tier series and then did a 360 haha, thats your personal taste though so no hate. I loved Andor!! Its the one series I can say that reminds me of legacy SW novels. It felt grounded and you got a glimpse of more of the little things and the background of a falling Republic to a rising Empire. Its what SW should have become alongside Mando S1 and 2. Even though Rogue one is a retcon, I still enjoyed it enough to accept that versus the Bothan Spies original take of the death star plans. And it gave me my favorite Disney SW character in Cassian Andor which says a lot because I hate about 90% of Disney SW characters haha. Such a talented actor and well written character, its Disney at its best which is rare these days. I honestly cant wait for Season 2. Between that and Bad Batch its the only things keeping me tied to Disney SW and Disney in general if Im being honest

Andor is sooo gooood. I feel like it gets the same kind of criticism the prequels got when they came out (too political and stuff). My take is: S tier is Clone Wars, Mando 1 and 2, and Andor. Tales had some fascinating moments as well, so A. In B, I would put Rebels and Bad Batch, in C should be Ahsoka, and in D Boba and kenobi
yeah that's actually wild to me. i agree with most of his placements but andor is seriously one of the best things to come out of star wars ever, can't even imagine placing that show in anything less than s or a tier.
My List (2024 Edition): 1. The Clone Wars - S 2. The Mandalorian - S 3. Tales of the Jedi - A 4. Andor - A 5. 2D Clone Wars - A 6. The Bad Batch - B 7. Rebels - B 8. Ahsoka - B 9. Resistance - C 10. Kenobi - D 11. The Book of Boba Fett - D
Apparently Dave worked on the world between worlds with George in rebels. Also while rewatching rebels I’ve noticed that there were a few scenes in the show that you know George had influence over.
I really can’t believe this dude ranked “Ahsoka” over “Obi Wan”. “Ahsoka” was probably the worst written show. The only saving grace of the show was Thrawn
Your list is pretty close to mine. The only differences for me is that Andor is B tier and Kenobi is a C. Andor is a really well crafted show and does so many things right. The only reason it’s not higher for me is personal taste. I prefer fantasy style of story telling over grounded stuff. Kenobi is an interesting one for me. It’s had some amazing highs that I rewatch often (mostly when things focused on Vader and Kenobi) but it did had a lot lows that you mentioned (Reva, low budget, pacing).
@@steveno7058yeah those seasons did have a lot of war based and sort of repeating episodes that follow the same theme, but I think they had to show that in order to tell everyone what is going on all the time in the clone "WARS". I agree with everything except andor. I think the fact that it was dark and gritty showed an interesting and new way to show our Star Wars universe. It also gave a broader scope to everything going on within the era of the empire. For someone like myself that hasn’t read comics or books, it really gave a great visual to expanding that era. And finally, it was a fun show that stood on its own. There’s nothing more Star Wars than hearing the amazing quotes from speeches to get an idea of how the people felt around the world that Lucas built. Luthen’s speech was more Star Wars than anything we got from the sequels. The ending protest battle was a sight to see. The prison riot had me bouncing and cheering on the edge of my seat. For those reasons, I gotta put it at a B, (and sorry for this) better than Ahsoka
Go back and watch it again, and this time really think about what Star Wars is. A story of redemption, of resilience, of perseverance. I think you’ll see it deserves more credit than its been given
Andor is S tier and peak star wars. Yes, it doesn't feel like star wars but that's exactly why people love it. Its a new and fresh direction for star wars. The writing is miles better than any of the other Disney star wars shows.
As much as I agree with you on BOBF, Id have to give it a C or B at least because Even though those mando episodes SHOULD HAVE BEEN IN THE MANDO SHOW... It was some of the best Mando content we got, including Luke :)
I agree that Andor is not the Star Wars we know. Largely due to the setting, which they decided to neglect. And yes... they decided to go for realism and spoil the canons (once again). And someone will say, “how do you imagine a mundane story? Could it have been done better?” and I will answer... yes, it could have been done much better than realism. We're talking about Star Wars, science fiction and a bit of fairytale. You can make a much cooler story without lightsabers. And observe all the canonical points and respect the setting and atmosphere of SW. And unfortunately this show failed. If the show were in the universe of the same Mass effect or in the TV series Expanse... then yes... in principle, a good series for them, but for Star Wars it’s sad. And the sad thing is that each project tries to come up with something completely different (especially when it was invented for them back in 2000). It turned out to be a good series (and I liked some of the episodes), but it also breaks the logic of the universe due to realism and conventions. The Star Wars universe... it's not slow action like in samurai films, it's not about dark cyberpunk. There was always the dynamism of the coming and fast action. Moreover, if you want to see those same Star Wars, then at least look at the game Star wars: The old Republic, where you can try out the classes of bounty hunters or play as an operative for free, you will feel the difference. I'm not even talking about media content from the Legendary Canon, books and comics, where they show a more down-to-earth story than in the series, and at the same time, everything in the setting is respected.
Andor needs to be A tier, no flashy gimmicks or cameo appearances to cover up for lacklustre writing or storytelling, just a gritty hard fought determination, that made me for feel for the first time in a long time that Rebellion was the right thing to do. Andor is the only live-action Disney SW show I recommend to anyone. All the others feel too "Disney-esque" and some miss the mark entirely (Boba Fett & Kenobi). Andor is darker, more gritty, and caters far more toward the galactic turmoil which the everyday citizen experienced under rule of the empire. I agree with all of your other placements, but Andor is easily S tier on my list.

Andor is the best thing ever happend to the Star Wars since the Revenge of the Sith. Ahsoka was as big disappointment as Obi-wan, but for totally different reasons.
@@bgonza2 Agreed. I think he is aware of the higher sentiment towards Andor when placing it that low in the rankings; it's just one of those shows that will need time to marinate for him and others to realize the perfection of the intro season.

@@everettbalkcom The Clone Wars is amazing but it was heavily inconsistent, there were a lot of filler episodes. Andor is pretty much a straight shot all the way through, very little filler.

@thenonartist4366 the show averaged like 20 episodes a season bro so it's obviously gonna have filler here and there when there's a total of 133 episodes like what.

It's nice seeing different adventures in the galaxy. Glad I’m seeing all the Andor support. It’s so gritty and amazing. It captures the vibe of rouge one so well, a lot of people’s favorite Star Wars movie, and shows some of the darker aspects of the rebels too. The writing and dialogue clearly top any Star Wars show or movie created by Disney I agree with almost everything, except for your opinion on Andor. It was Star Wars for grown-ups. Very refreshing. Not overloaded with goofy ass slapstick jokes. A well-written story about the fight against fascism. You can actually watch it without having to be a Star Wars fan because it had good writing, contrary to the other Disney shows. Andor S! What a masterpiece. Enjoyed every second of the show. Even those cereal scenes :D Such a well-written show. Reminded me of shows like Better Call Saul. People call these "boring" but it's just not their cup of tea.. this slow style with well-written and rising drama and shocking/explosive climaxes. Andor was such a fresh take on Star Wars. Not every show has to be told in the style of George Lucas. Just my opinion. The Clone Wars, Tales of the Jedi & Andor S tier for me. How come the three witches can pinpoint Ahsoka in a bonefield surrounding a planet but they cannot find Ezra wandering across a barren planet with lobster people for ten years? Please, let me hear your "theory" on this one. I would like more things like Andor in Star Wars, I feel like the series needs to progress a bit from the pulp sci-fi adventure stuff from its conception and Andor does that by being a grounded gritty show about Life in the galaxy, my favorite mando episode was that one with the scientist where he is just walking around Coruscant, showing how it is to live in a post-war galaxy. The first couple of episodes of Mando also kinda does that, by just being a show about bounty hunters and there were very few things about the Force until baby Yoda started doing it, but still remained mostly a space westerner. The reason I think it crapped itself later on is because it deviated too much from that. Basically, Star Wars could use more shows showcasing a normal person's perspective of the Galaxy, maybe a rebel movie about just a rebel soldier in the trenches idk
I appreciated how intellectual Andor was… it doesn’t treat you like a child, whereas DF does that in everything after Clone Wars. Putting Andor below Ashoka is totally a hot take. It deserves at least an A.
I’m not saying you’re opinion of Andor is wrong, but it definitely makes me re-evaluate how I value your opinions. Andor is a Masterpiece. Andor was such a great show, loved it! The writing, tension, dialogue, scenes, and acting top tier. I really felt like there was something at stake Andor didn't actually get a higher budget than the other shows episode-wise. Andor got 250 million for 12 episodes, while Kenobi supposedly got 150 million for 6, so per episode, Kenobi had a higher budget. Unless these numbers are wrong, Disney hasn't come out and told us, just reports. It's not how much money you have, but what you make of it. Original Star Wars had practically no budget, but with ingenuity they made it work! I don't think I've seen anything Star Wars-related that made me dislike or fear the Empire until Andor showed up. I agree with pretty much everything, but Andor is arguably the best SW show ever made. It's a masterpiece you do actually have some crazy opinions sometimes. Andor is easily one of the best things that have been done within Star Wars for a long time Andor was much better for me than Ashoka. I wanted it to be the opposite but it just wasn’t. Andor was beautifully done. Andor is S tier easily! I see lots of men of culture in these comments respect boys! I loved ANdor, my favorite because of the story and the number of characters And at least for me easily and I mean easily tops any of the other Star Wars shows, the prison arc alone in that show is top-tier. I understand that the show could be viewed as “slow” but in no way does that worsen the writing, the acting, the special effects, etc; the show was slow in the sense that it knew how to take its time with a solid story and it still blows me away that the show that I was least looking forward to managed to be the most compelling, memorable, and entertaining. (Clone Wars seasons 1 -2 were not that amazing and from season 3 onwards the improvement was clear) As an old man, who watched the original series, day 1, in 77, I appreciate the Boba Fett arch. It isn't that he can't go full-on anymore. He has matured and learned that turning a place to ash isn't always the best alternative.
That’s the problem it’s not starwars therefore as a starwars fan a real starwars fan I don’t like it feels corny forced not a fan mandolorian was a lot better Ahsoka is better those 2 live action shows feel like starwars and have my respect Andor isn’t starwars it’s its own thing
@@chasethechosenone8478 holy run-ons bro.
Andor at least for me easily and I mean easily tops any of the other Star Wars shows, the prison arc alone in that show is top tier.

Most star wars fans just want to soy face at forced cameos and bad fight choreography

Im not sure how a show with 12 episodes with no large impact on the grand story and progression of Star Wars is the best show. Tales of the Jedi added more to the lore than Andor did😂😂. The clone wars had everything andor had and 10x more. The clone wars is Pure Star Wars content that tops all the shows.
@@alexzander1211 In what reality was the sequel trilogy loved? It was a mess of disjointed narratives that never actually coalesced into a coherent story with actual stakes.
You're welcome to consume the absolute slop that Disney keeps pushing, but don't get your panties in a twist when people point that fact out. Andor was a huge breath of fresh air that the franchise desperately needed
@@thenonartist4366 I didn't realize I was talking to Drax from Guardians of the galaxy... did you not see the obvious sarcasm in that statement? Honestly, Rebels is an A. Some of the most pivotal moments in canon were portrayed in this show: The Grand Inquisitor, Ahsoka vs. Darth Vader, Ahsoka’s death/resurrection, the WBW itself, Darth Maul’s death, the reveal of Luminara’s fate, a superb portrayal of Thrawn (better than the Ahsoka show). The “slow” moments were just as prevalent in the Clone Wars too
Agreed.
Theory probably thought half of these events happened in clone wars lol. Rebels is an easy A Tier all day long.
💯
🤝
Nah. The slow filler side fetch quests are a lot worse in a linear story like rebels than an anthology like TCW. Also the entire main cast was annoying besides Hera and Kanan
Andor had literally no hype but somehow ended up being the best show Disney have ever put out IMO
Just imagine Kenobi but with Andor level writing 🥹
Also with Andor budget.🔥

S: Clone Wars, Tales of the Jedi.
A: Mando, Rebels, Ahsoka
B: Bad Batch
C: Obiwan
D: Boba Fett, Andor
I love the story that Rebels created. Continuing it with Ahsoka made me so happy. My favorite Star Wars shows but objectively clone wars and totj are better.
Mando S1 and S2 feels like the true sequel trilogy, it continues on the story with bringing back old characters and introducing new ones
As shame the Mandoverse is destroyed now, at least we got 1 and 2

Unfortunately, that quality and respect for the universe couldn't last.
@George-um2vc it's not destroyed just fumbling a bit, even George movies had a low moment when people cried and complained about attack of the clones
As a huge fan of season 1, season 2 already started to feel a lot like fan service
Andor at C is criminal. Not every Star Wars show needs the force, lightsabers, or crazy cameos.
Star Wars needs more of this. That's why I legitimately enjoyed Solo, and why I really look forward to the Lando show if it happens. There is so much more to the galaxy than the Jedi and the Sith.
This...!
That’s what Star Wars is. Plus it’s boring af
its honestly the direction Disney should and could have taken. I would have loved to see them handle smaller plots and just the ongoings of the galaxy through new characters like Mando and Cassian. I wouldnt even have minded Filoni inserting his own characters and plots from his past projects if they had started with that. I probably would have cared to watch Rebels then lol
Agreed - . Rebels was also at least as good as the original Clone Wars, they should both be in A, not S and B IMO.
Personally even if you weren't a fan of Ando there's no denying that the quality of Andor far outweighs any other show on this list, besides maybe one, it deserves at least an A, it's obviously above BOBF and Kenobi but it should be at the top if we are going to talk about the shows merit overall.
it having a big budget does not mean it deserves an A or an S
@@jwest6058 I didn't say anything about Andors budget.
@@balkor_steel9094 Never said you did, but it having a big budget is the only thing about it that is the reason for the "quality" of andor
@@jwest6058 No, I'd say that's not true, when I say "Quality" I was mostly referring to the writing. Granted those were 50 years ago, but you aren't going to get a big budget for just a starter movie.
Nah man, Andor is truly is a blessing in Star Wars. Everything was top notch. Acting, writing, cinematography, production value, and visual effects. I would say it’s probably the best written Star Wars project since the originals ( not saying the prequels are bad but when you compare all aspects to Andor, they fall shallow).
@@repticare101 yall swt meatmunchers have no taste and it shows everytime jeez
Honestly this echoes my thoughts, probably the best written star wars ever, close to empire strikes back. Masterclass in depth, character and storytelling. The fact that quality of that magnitude is possible in a Disney show is mind blowing to me and is a minor miracle.
@@repticare101lil bro
@@repticare101 I mean it kinda is the best written project of Star Wars since the originals. The prequels have horrid dialogue at times, lack direction, and many of the CGI effects are aging in many scenes and the sequels were just a disaster in all aspects except visuals. All other shows (including Ahsoka and excluding Mando) have the same problem of questionable writing and uninspired cinematography. As for Rogue One and Solo, both are great projects but don’t have the depth and strong enough themes compared to Andor (actually maybe Rogue One).
@@repticare101 It has all the lore of Star Wars. The show is meant to show how life was like for the ordinary citizen under a facist imperial rule. It showcases the brutality of the Empire in a completely different way as we are used to seeing them only kill and harm rebels but in this show they kill and harm civilians. It shows the inner workings of the Empire which also something that is rarely seen since to many fans the Empire is only Palpatine, Vader, Thrawn, and stormtroopers. This show makes you hate the empire since it’s portrayed more realistically. Don’t forget it also showcases the very beginnings of the rebellion with again ordinary citizens banding together to fight the empire. If you don’t like the show, that’s all cool. I’m just trying to explain that the show is 100% Star Wars.

I agree with most of your takes, except Andor. But I hear what you're saying, it is slower, but I kinda like having a slower show in the mix. The best part of Andor to me is the political drama side with Mon Mothma and seeing how the rebellion gains power as an entity in the galaxy. As long as season 2 dives deeper into this aspect, I'll still find it entertaining. I'd put it at B+ to A-.

As a standalone series (without jokes), it's good. There are intrigues and interesting situations with the main character. I actually really liked Andor. But ofc we all have different opinions. Mando is an S just because season 1 and 2 were so incredible.

Between that and Bad Batch its the only things keeping me tied to Disney SW and Disney in general if Im being honest
Bothans were involved with the 2nd Death Star not with the 1st one. So it wasn`t a retcon in that regards
@@wedgeGTX oh thats right! my bad haha. Well I know it had many retconned changes and I thought that was one of them. The original I know was loosly explained to just be stolen by the rebels with their first battle which i yeah i guess does check out even though I know Legends had them located on a different planet if I remeber. Its been a long time since legends novels for me
@@frickclick6367 everyone has their own taste in media and escapism so I have no say so. I love the movie Interstellar(Top 5 movie) but some people find that movie extremely boring and long as hell lol
Doing a 360 brings you right back to where you started. I believe you meant 180.
@@foreverfornever1124 it was never a "canon" explanation how they get the plans. For an example in the video game Dark Forces Kyle Katarn stole it...
Can't believe you're that disappointed in andor. Andor was a phenomenal show. One of the best ones Disney has put out for sure
Aint no way Andor is below Ahsoka 💀
yeah that's actually wild to me. i agree with most of his placements but andor is seriously one of the best things to come out of star wars ever, can't even imagine placing that show in anything less than s or a tier.
If people didn't fall asleep in the first episode it might have a shot but I can't seem to ever make it 😂

Apparently Dave worked on the world between worlds with George in rebels. Also while rewatching rebels I’ve noticed that there were a few scenes in the show that you know George had influence over.
Dave filoni also helped create the sequel trilogy and loved and supported it?
@@Foggycallabasashillshelicopternot really, he wasnt that involved past some story ideas, and he just said he likes TLJ and RJ as a director
Andor was phenomenal.
Andor is the best thing Disney has done and it's not particularly close.
What I wanted for the Kenobi show was a character study of him see how he dealt with the ptsd and trauma from anakin fall to the Darkside
Andor was a masterpiece 💯🔥🍿I still get chills every time I see Skargaurds monologue in a dumb tik tok or shout 😎
Short*
Andor on C is criminal
I agree with this list. The S tier shows are shows that if I were stranded on an island, I would watch them forever. Awesome vid btw!
You would watch Clone Wars season 1 and 2 forever? I doubt it
@@steveno7058 Yes. Those seasons have some of my favorite episodes.
@@Mr.Cstopmotionfacts

@@steveno7058yeah those seasons did have a lot of war based and sort of repeating episodes that follow the same theme, but I think they had to show that in order to tell everyone what is going on all the time in the clone "WARS".
Even when we are following the main characters a war is still going on in the background.
The Mandalorian S1 and S2 and Andor are 10/10
Andor is mid

@@MrMortyBabytell me one part of Andor that’s mid. I’ll wait.
I think you’ll see it deserves more credit than its been given
Appreciate you being on the content grind Theory❤️
Ahsoka is obv the best Disney era Star Wars in my opinion
Andor is S tier and peak star wars.
Yes, it doesn't feel like star wars but that's exactly why people love it.
Its a new and fresh direction for star wars. The writing is miles better than any of the other Disney star wars shows.

I already know he going to put andor way lower then it should be when all together it’s easily Star Wars best written project.
Every character was pretty much on point, and the dialogue was awesome
Andor wasn't star wars it was star trek that shit isn't even worth a watch unless you enjoy watching paint dry and sniffing glue it shouldn't even be on this list
@@christopherbenard5702 It's comments like this that confirm for me that Star Wars is for jocks that weren't athletic or sociable enough to be into sports.
I would put Rebels and Andor in A tier but otherwise this is a really good tier list
I agree with all of your other placements, but Andor is easily S tier on my list.
respectfully disagree with ardor rating think its some of the best storytelling we've seen with a Star Wars project since Disney took over.
Andor is the best in my opinion. Maybe my favorite show I’ve ever seen
Factsss
You can have that opinion but don’t say it’s the best of star wars cause it’s all the way at the bottom
Should I be concerned that I enjoy all of these shows. My taste is nonexistent.
I honestly don't particularly like any of the shows, but its funny how mad people are at your Andor ranking. Lmfao
"This was the first star wars show" someone is clearly blocking out the fact that Ewoks and Droids existed in the 80s
I saw andor wasnt S tier and this is my good bye to theory’s opinion indefinitely 😂😂
It had no childish 13 years old dialogue and it held its own when everyone was against it with the “this doesn’t look like Star Wars” “there’s not enough diversity”. All fools
Hope we get more tales of the jedi but about different characters this time! Was great seeing Dooku, Mace, Qui Gon, Yaddle, and Anakin’s more intense training for Ashoka leading into the season 7 finale of clone wars! So good!
the irony is Andor was THE MOST starwars its been since empire. also it had the lowest budget out of them all.
Andor is the best thing ever happend to the Star Wars since the Revenge of the Sith. Ahsoka was as big disappointment as Obi-wan, but for totally different reasons.
that last bit is crazy lmao not a perfect show by any means but i thought it was pretty fucking good
Andor is the best show they've put out. Change my mind.
It sure is the best.
@@bgonza2 Agreed the writing and world-building that continues from Rogue One and does not attach itself to the main storyline is superb
@@SoupArchives SW Theory is too young to understand good storytelling. This was a perfect Star Wars show for adults.
@@bgonza2 Agreed. I think he is aware of the higher sentiment towards Andor when placing it that low in the rankings; it's just one of those shows that will need time to marinate for him and others to realize the perfection of the intro season.
