@@Esspppiia it must be holding up cause I tried it on my curtain rod and the paint hasn't chipped or cracked. I used the same spray paint brand only that it's silver.
I mean I guess you can but I’m not sure how long the paint will stick without the primer since I’ve never tried it. Worse case scenario is you will have to sand it down to strip the paint and start over again. Good luck!!

How long did you wait between primer and both coats of gold? How long until you reinstalled and used it?
I just waited until it was dry to the touch between each spraying. Redid the whole bathroom so it took some time before the install.
How is it it holding up?
So far so good. I haven’t seen any changes on it as of yet.
