This is the best shuttle I’ve seen. Very well done.

I wanted to ask you another question about the mounting stem you built. How did you achieve this and what materials did you use? I've started on my own kit and I'm trying to figuure out how to build an effective display mount.

I repurposed a telescopic pointer stick for the stand. As for the base, it’s a wooden stationary tray I got from a dollar store.👌😊

Fantastic work sir! How did you manage to conceal the seams along the side between the upper body section and the lower body section adjacent to each wing?

Thanks my friend. It was built a long time ago. I just used putty and sanding to get rid of it.👌😊

Wish Bandai would make one, along with the Tie Bomber. But revel is trying to monopolize the market with there crappy kits. The AMT/ Ertl kits look better than the revel ones. revel looks Absolutely Pathetic next to a Bandai kit. Atrocious.

Yeah.. Bandai seem to have stopped putting out Star Wars kits from the OT.

Thank you I just found one for $20 and while I don't plan on doing as much as you did. It helps to know this is based off the model from the set. I build wargame stuff and I plan to use it as a transport ship for my commander's in star wars legion

Sean, what a wonderful build. I’m in awe of what you have accomplished here. The fact that you were able to improve a lot that came out and was built by you so long ago is really cool. What a history with this ship. As always I will happily wait to see what awesome build you share next. Hoping to see some of my favorite character from Star Wars, Boba Fett, eventually.

Thank you Justin! I’m glad you enjoyed the video. Tbh, There are a lot more masterful builds of this kit out there.. with better lighting and in some cases, even motorized wings! But I did enjoy the rebuild and that’s all the matters at the end of the day. Thank you for being so encouraging with your comments! Much appreciated.

This is fantastic my friend. I have one of these in my unbuilt kit stash and plan to use an Arduino to control the lights. How did you make the telescopic stand? That is genius!

    • @Plasticstarwars

Sorry for the late reply. It’s made from a dollar store telescopic notice board pointer:)

That's incredible work to this model. I can't believe you cut the hull but if you know what your doing in this instance good for you. As for the lighting you have the idea I've not used just yet the Christmas lights. I'd love to use electronics but unfortunately I haven't the knowledge to put those together. So I'll use those also. I have this model not built yet I hope I can make it as well. I won't be doing any customising except if I decide to add lights for the engines and the wing tips and underside. Well done on your model build.👍🇭🇲🦘🐨✌️

I have lighted a couple of my models using lighting kits for Lego. There's a Melbourne based company called Light My Bricks which have fantastic kits that work really well for non-Lego models. It's all plug and play and super easy to put together. Well worth checking out.

@@banistersmind Hello and thank you for that. I have bought three lighting kits. Yes I've heard of this for Lego at a hobby shop. Only I don't know what to ask for. So I gave up at this time. I still haven't used the one's I bought. I'm just fed up when I can't achieve something simple to others complicated for me.👍🇭🇲🦘🐨✌️
