Shame on all the keyboard warriors. Everyone talking about "standards" has no idea what those standards actually are, how they have or haven't changed over time, or how they're actually implemented. Jaques was my Ranger buddy during Mountains and two Floridas, and I was an RI for nearly 3 years after graduating. She was a great teammate and when she didn't meet the "standard", she was recycled like anyone else. She endured more than most at Ranger School and deserves to wear the tab at least as much as anyone else.
The 75th RR has and continues to evolve from its days as a 11 series majority strength unit. Many people don’t realize this and continue to view it through this lens. The 75th needs its trigger pullers and you want these soldiers to be picked from the most qualified. However, the 75th also needs its 42B and that S1 to be amongst the best. The S1s jobs isn’t to conduct a raid but rather provide the commanders with soldiers that help in sustaining the fight.
Standards were lowered. This is absolute bullshit. I'm not mad at her! She did great, and I'm proud of her. It's our military. It has become an absolute joke.
I gotta say, it's pretty incredible that she did this and managed to not call out so many people. Meanwhile people are getting on her about not being able to carry a rucksack at the same pace as a jacked dude when she already made it through ranger school and she was intentionally being held back.
Here’s a better question, did she ask for the “standards” to be lowered? She may have just entered a school that’s a prerequisite to remaining in 75th Ranger Regiment.
