I’ve trained with John since 2016. I take a class with him every year, seen all these podcast, and had the pleasure of hanging out with him socially. The John on these podcasts is the real John, in-person. He’s funny dude, the real deal, and just a generally good person. I’m glad he’s finally getting all this positive exposure.

Joe rogan is one of the luckiest human beings alive. he has met and talked to so many interesting people in his lifetime. this is how people gain wisdom. i think hes very wise
Wrong People don't get wisdom by hosting a podcast. Wisdom is innate and is a collective good which dates back lineages and lineages. It means you can't really acquire it or 'lose' it. With wisdom comes a recognition because it means you found something (recognized something) which you already knew. It's not like you're learning new stuff.
@@Sander820 I respectfully disagree. Wisdom can be attained in many forms hosting a podcast has an advantage of learning such a wide variety of topics, subjects, things that most of us never get an opportunity to have. I was just a math, robotics, electrical engineer trained high school teacher. I also taught special education which I really loved. I’m not sure I have anywhere near the wisdom and knowledge that people like Joe has or perhaps yourself. I don’t even know how you would measure that. respectfully Marty.
@@laurae.9568 That has to be one of the most dangerous assault situations they’ve trained some 48 years to do since Delta’s inception in 1977. They learned early on through role-playing the potential pitfalls of assaulting commercial airliners. For example, terrorists like keeping the blinds down to deny snipers effectiveness. Knowing that, Delta learned to walk across wings and discovered through these role playing scenarios that wings will gently rock when men move stealthily on them and that’s felt inside the aircraft. But if the wing fuel tanks are filled, they won’t. As a result, terrorists are usually not going to be denied refueling. The level of expertise Delta possesses is unparalleled.
Joe Rogan's going to get it done. You honestly don't need that many backers, and modern publishers can crank a new book out efficiently, and also some hardcovers. I couldn't buy a copy of Sled Driver for less than 600 bucksCAD and that is on the low end. This guy's book is going to be published.

“If I KNOW I’m gettin in a gunfight and can only bring ONE MAN with me, I’d pick McPhee EVERY time! He’s always ready to get it on and ain’t afraid of fightin nobody!... John’s a straight up SAVAGE!” --Actual quote from a Delta Operator, who’s also a very close friend of mine and fought alongside McPhee in Iraq. Literally EVERY single former Delta guy I’m friends with, have trained with and/or drank with have ALL to a man said: McPhee is the real deal and a legend at the Unit, especially for the singleton operations he successfully carried out. Also, McPhee is a GREAT firearms coach who helped me excel, after I’d plateaued for several years. At that time, he was the first guy to FINALLY diagnose and help me understand WHAT I was doing inefficiently and HOW to resolve it to continue excelling in my own training sessions. …..And that was AFTER I’d already previously shot 100,000+ rounds with pistols and trained with almost 50 other firearms instructors for more than a decade before I trained with McPhee. Took my red dot pistol shooting to MULTIPLE levels past where it was prior!! Dude’s legit af!🔥🇺🇸🤙
@@jjsrod4 just a combat wounded former Marine grunt (shot & paralyzed in a badass gunfight in Iraq, 2003 invasion) who started my career as a “professional student” in 2009 in the firearms training industry (primarily pistol and carbine training, but also specialty tactical classes like CQB, night vision and even an LEO SWAT explosive/mechanical breaching class I was lucky to attend). Because of how I was shot, the HARD lessons I learned from it, and the realization of just how truly awful us regular Marine & Army infantrymen were trained in the early years of the GWOT (and honestly even today outside of SOF units it’s still lacking), I became legit obsessed with learning every possible technique and tactic out there that would’ve helped me prevail against my opponent who shot me that day in Iraq (after I’d already shot him once, watched him fall & ASSumed I’d killed him). It was also just fun af and I enjoyed learning and excelling, and almost always being the best or top 3 best shooters in a class. I’ve gained a great reputation and respect over the years from my peers and instructors as well. It’s allowed me to train with instructors ranging from local SWAT guys to former (sometimes active) Tier 1 unit guys. Of those Tier 1 assaulters/snipers I’ve trained with and befriended, they were and are overwhelmingly Delta Force/CAG guys, several of which were at my wedding and I attended/was invited to a couple of their’s. I’m only actual friends with 1 former Team 6/DEVGRU operator though, as there aren’t many in the industry who teach open-enrollment (i.e. civilian) classes. It’s a small world in the firearms/tactics training industry, and because I’m a combat wounded veteran who can shoot his ass off and apparently have an “authentic personality and badass mindset that draws people to him” (or so I’ve been told a lot🤷♂️), I’ve been VERY fortunate to meet, talk for hours with, and befriend a LOT of incredible people who’ve done some incredibly amazing and extraordinarily interesting things. However, I’m not friends with McPhee or anything, I just took his “Pistol Video Diagnostics” class like 5 or 6 years ago. He’s definitely an interesting cat though, and what you see is what you get with him no matter the setting or who tf you are lol 😂

I've listened to nearly every Rogan since 2015. This is my favorite one because: 1. This guy's story is so incredibly badass it is scary 2. McPhee remains humble, periodically laughing because I feel he thinks he is actually normal. He is not 3. The structure of it is perfect. It takes an hour just to get the guy to actually talk, because I feel he may not want to. Joe knows that, feels him out, and proceeds with casual, gentle banter until he is comfortable to talk and really get into it. 4. It's 100% truthful and not embellished in the least bit
dude... you might want to read what you said i wouldnt call him humble and some of his story are indeed hoghly embelished, like when he says him and his couple biddies killed HUNDREDS of enemies in one mission its like hmm hmm or when he said he did HUNDREDS of missions alone, i dont think so
I'm so glad John is on our side, it's amazing how well adjusted he is seeing his childhood and the shit he's seen over during combat. He deserves to live comfortably for the rest of his life the shit he's been through.
The fact Shrek brought up Gettysburg is wild. I was telling a friend a few weeks back that the first time I went there I felt the crazy energy too. I was riding a motorcycle north, with no idea of how close I was to it. Got chills and a sense of dread, rounded a bend and saw the first monument.
Its what you call hallowed ground. A place where something happened so bad the energy of dread never leaves. I went to Auschwitz and Hurtgen forrest i had the same feeling.

Wrong People don't get wisdom by hosting a podcast. Wisdom is innate and is a collective good which dates back lineages and lineages. It means you can't really acquire it or 'lose' it.

Bro who tf are you? How do you know these guys? I’m so curious?

Yeah Joe is hitting it out of the park with his political agenda, lol and he turned into a complete moron. Podcast use to be chill now he went straight weirdo.
@@carson21211 shilling? I listen all the time now. The guests have been really interesting lately. I knew about JRE a long time time ago but really started listening 6 to 8 years ago. I drive alot for work and recreation.
“My family thinks I’m nuts” brother we all family then 😂😂😂
Somebody raise this man’s mic up please, my back hurts just watching.
He's actually lying on his belly in a sniper position.
Lmaooo@@MaTTheWish
Use headphones
The man literally conquered a country, let him slouch
@@Shiloh_Shepherdyea every time I put my headphones on I gotta schedule a chiropractor appointment after.
30:15 "I think everyone is trying to burgle booty holes" is one of the funniest things I've ever heard
😂😂
John "youknowwhatimean" McPhee 🐐
This. 100%
Chuck Norris called ….. he asked very politely if he can have John McPhee’s autograph.
💀
I love how shrek thinks. I’ve trained with him a couple times and every single time I’ve improved greatly on my shot placement. So glad he’s one of our guys. He’s an absolute savage.
Love the dude. Just like a hammer who is not afraid of evil. I ve Always loved to be surrounded by this type of guys. Their energy, bravery is top level. The fact that he didn't fall apart after tough times, that is inspiring. Thank you mr John for existing and serve as an example for most men
This dude sounds really calm one second and reflects on his actions, then out of the blue describes the hardest military story you ever heard.
To him it was a fun, light hearted experience. To others it was the most miserable they’d ever been.
The disconnect between his speak and his body language and facial expressions is just plain scary. Something inside his head is just.. different. To put it in a polite way. I would keep well away from this guy, or make sure he had absolutely no grudge with me.
@@rolfnilsen6385I’m not scared of him
@ Yeah, darwinism is a thing.
The way John is projecting his posture, excitement, character, speaks so much volume.
I will meet and greet people like these someday!
I’ve never had more respect for Joe than now! Shriek!!!!
I need to read his book. This guy is easily the most unique person I’ve seen on this podcast, fuck on any podcast. Thank you for your service to this country & for keeping people like myself safe.
He is so right. Being an expert at any difficult skill and then teaching it takes you to the next level. When you are teaching you have so many "ah ha" moments where you crack the code on how to do something faster or easier etc.
He works better alone because he is relying on intuition and experience. He makes it up as he goes. There’s no time to explain and draw diagrams for stragglers. 👌
This dude definitely needs to make a movie deal NOW. It would be a huge hit especially with the veterans. We all need to know about how we fought early in the war and what the other men went through.
That’s literally why he wrote a book!
People would think it’s dramatized, and that’s the crazy part
It’d be like John Wick but without the dog being killed and no revenge
I can't think of a single reason a respectable person wouldn't look to this man. Utmost respect
"It's not funny but I mean it's kind of humorous, I think it's funny." Hahaha that got me!
And what he thought was funny was the fact that lions ignored soldiers but saw women and children as food because thats probably what they were used to eat 😮
