Ebe was the vocalist of the band Sugarfree. Listening to him is like listening to your soul crying out. He became the voice of an entire generation falling in and out of love.
Ebe Dancel is a master lyricist and a great composer. He is indeed an icon.
Would you believe Bullet is currently in a musical where everything is so technical?! Can't wait to watch it and see what type of flavor he will bring to the cast.
This song is about accepting defeat after loving someone for long years. Realization of growing apart.
I still remember how the crowd cried under the rain in an open ground stage (I was there) while the band Sugarfree(Led by Ebe Dancel, their vocalist) announced disbandment after 12years in the music industry. (1999-2011).
Ebe Dancel grabe...Sugarfree's music and Dancel's voice brings back to many memories...alaala ng kahapon...

Ebe Dancel's Lakambini is a timeless classic. He wrote it for a play. It is a song about the love of Andres Bonifacio, a Philippine revolutionary hero, towards his beloved - an incomparable maiden, a Lakambini. The lyrics are sooo poetically beautiful. You will love it too. 👍🏻👍🏻

Watched their DAMA 3D concert years ago ("dama" is to feel in Filipino/Tagalog). It was awesome. The trio had sets together, as well as individual sets. Gary Valenciano was there, he along with the crowd even gave Bullet a standing ovation during his set. It was an experience.

I just wish Efra and Waleska you guys grasp the meaning (its literal translation - in Tagalog) of this painful song. One of my favorite. This song was used poetically in one of indie movie here in PH (I love you, Im drunk) Im telling you the whole audience broke into chorus and not one pair of eyes are dry. Gives me goosebumps. amazing arrangement. an emotional granade.
