Awesome! Thanks for reviewing. Glad you liked the song!
Lola Amour and Cup of Joe is getting the recognition they deserve. IM CRYING 😭
I feel like Original Pilipino Music (OPM) is entering another golden era with all these rising artists
Raining in Manila is breaking records in spotify ph. It's one of the most popular opm songs today.
LIHAM IS SO SPECIAL TO US.DURING THAT 2nd DAY CONCERT, PABLO HAD A SPECIAL MESSAGE BEFORE SINGING THIS SONG. HE SAID THAT THEY ARE SO THANKFUL TO A'TIN AND HAS MANY DREAMS FOR US. HE ALSO SAID THAT THEY KNOW THAT WHATEVER HAPPENS WE WILL BE THERE FOR THEM THAT'S WHY THIS SONG WAS MADE FOR US. IT IS THEIR LETTER FOR A'TIN. WE ALL CRIED WHILE SINGING. DURING THE 1ST DAY, STELL CRIED SINGING LIHAM.
PABLO AND JOSH CRIED SINGING ILAW.
And Justin weas teary eyed. Not quite sure if Justin had tears rolling down his face. But he was definitely teary eyed.
Mahalimaaa 😭❤
Yay! Finally you discovered Cup of Joe! Better check out their other performance videos for their songs "Estranghero", "Tataya" and Mananatili. The two vocalists have amazing showmanship/stage presence on top of their great vocals. I've seen them live a couple of times now. They deserve more time in the spotlight. The Cup of Joe band started as high school kids who looked up to Ben&Ben and they won a regional songwriting competition. Now they've definitely matured and come into their own. Oh and sometimes CupofJoe, Dilaw and Lola Amour do gigs together.
Paborito ko sakanila yung Hayaan tsaka Sinderela. Grabe kapag yun pinapakinggan ko napapa-contemplate ako sa buhay, e. Lagi kong pinapatugtog Cup of Joe kapag nag b-byahe. Apaka-underrated nila.
Alas Dose is my favorite. I'm glad they are gaining popularity
Discovered them through this video. Will definitely check them out!
Nag iisang muli and estranghero is my favorite song 💗
Yes! Proud of COJ so much! I really love Sagada. All of their songs are good and amazing!
No word can explain how beautiful filipino language is
The english translation NEVER gave justice to our language
Liham is lyrically magical, poetic and deep that only those who understands tagalog will ever feel
Alot more different and heartfelt
I'm kinda hoping that foreign can understand that whenever we see a translation to SB19's songs
We felt a bit disappointed that it can't give justice to the song's emotion
Here for SB19's LIHAM. The lyric video would have been a tear-jerker but copyright sucks! Please let your mom and dad watch it together (lyric video) at their own time please? Actually, for some reason, Stell was very emotional on Day1 when they sang this. His voice was shaky then broke down towards the end. Good thing, he was able to gather himself together and was able to finish that 14-second riffs and runs at the end. He was still crying when they started to sing Mapa but he was able to get through with it with a bit of a shaky voice on his first line.
34:00 what is very interesting though is that Raining in Manila is the #1 song in SpotifyPH right now
Philippines is probably the biggest music consumer there is. Live bands are a common daily scene in there, you just go to local bars & you'll be treated in live music. It's such a treat for anyone not from Philippines cause it's just not common anywhere else😅. To them it's just another day, like a daily commute kinda situation. Hence the individual karaoke at every household, they serve themselves live music when unable to go to live events. It's mind boggling. They're like breathing music. 😂
or maybe you can have a proper term other than "music consumer" ... i know what you wanted to say... but please, do you really know the meaning of music consumer? 🤦
@@ecilatnecniv or maybe you carry on with your life mate. my comment must be significant enough for you to be wasting your time with. I'm stating my observations. No disrespect intended & nobody died with it most importantly. Now if you feel fantastic enough with your "smart suggestion", good for. As for me, i don't give shite. Thank you.
What's amazing about this rising gen of OPM artists is that they are ARTISTS in its truest sense. Most, if not all, are closely involved in their songs from its composition down to its production. Gone are the days that pre-made songs are served like a dish in a platter for the singer. In a bizzare way, as a music enthusiast, I feel more connected to a song that is written personally by the singer. May I also just add that the 'masa'/Filipino listeners grow collectively as consumers. Years before, only artists who can hit high notes and belt like their life depends on it are what makes it to the mainstream (not that it's a bad thing to have such high range) but now, variety of vocal ranges are celebrated and appreciated in their own right.
This is the very reason why SB19 captured my interest. Their work is revolutionary. Putting taste and creativity to pop music in the Philippines. The same way that this indie/alternative bands did not so long ago.
Something to be proud of as a Filipino.
This reaction vlog is 10 out 10 for me. New great artists I don't even knew. By the way guys Filipinos don't forget old good music. Still played on the radio station and sung by new generations.
That male dancer on Sb19's LIHAM is Jay. The one who choreographed the GENTO dance moves.
he is soooo talented!
Not only gento..also I WANT YOU and CRIMZONE
Jay was a member of XB Gensan dance group which was the very first winner of It’s Showtime when the show was fairly new to publics eye, all of its members are still active dancers on the show
Was he trained in modern/contemporary and ballet? Grabe techniques niya! Ganda din ng execution. Was surprised.
@@touchtechnician643their group was known for krump/hiphop but i guess he can do a lot of dances.
Stell was actually crying while singing and itbis really nice that he managed to hit those high notes. All of them were amazing. ❤
That section by Lola Amour gave me goosebumps
That's what I said! He's voice is so young that it's such a stark contrast to his looks (I was expecting some rugged deep voice)
If you noticed the guitarist in white for Cup of Joe, he is Shad or Shadiel. His family owns the Cozy Cove where his studio is located. He produced music for Cup of Joe, Dilaw, Sunkissed Lola, and many others. He mixes every performance in the Cozy Cove for his YT channel Nine Degrees North.
I love that you listened to lola amour.... they're currently my favorite band....the great thing about the Philippines is that you always have a variety of choices when it comes to the music you listen to
Another song from typecast next please.."will you ever learn"
TYPECAST is part of my youth! Try listening to Will You Ever Learn, too! Rock on, Wale!
Here for SB19, my fave. They are elite vocalists.
I really like these two beautiful reactors. So enjoyable and full of facts about music.
Me too❤❤❤❤❤
They really are the best❤
#raanjhanaa movie review😊
dude im crying with the typecast song. ITS MY ERA!!!!
The ending of Liham from the bridge onwards is so emotional and profound, the interspersed hope and yearning, joy and forlorn - i will love you for the rest of my life, it is written in the stars, this is my apology. His songs are so multidimensional and all encompassing
Typecast 😮 omg when I was younger I thought they are American artists 😂
Hala ka ang ganda ng lineup! Im gushing over your comments to my current faves. Its been awhile since you last had opm on your feature friday podcast
Typecast's album Every Moss and Cobweb is such a banger, I bought that CD twice because my first copy was stolen. This is the soundtrack of my teenage years, the sleepless nights of studying!!! They are the emo gods that time, their lyricism is just blood pumping. And yeah, Cynthia Alexander one of those precious albums out there, rare find, sister of Joey Ayala, best bassist of Asia . That woman is a force!!!
Thanks for this reaction, it's heartwarming. OPM is alive!!!
Yes recognition for Lola Amour. Their vocalist is Pio and they are a great band. Try to listen to Fallen, Pwede Ba, Sanity, No Tomorrow, and Maybe Maybe. They have many great songs ❤
One of things I really love about this channel is that it spreads positivity. Thank you!!
Typecast brings so much high school memories, especially this song MYGHAD Thanks for including them here 🔥🔥🔥
Liham - My favorite track from SB19's Pagtatag EP. Especially the line that says, I am full of stains, but you treated me like treasure. It makes me cry everytime.
so happy to watch again LIHAM of our beloved SB19,,, so glad you consider TYPECAST band,, proud aunt of Pakoy, (the guitarist seated on the right side) here... thank you so much
🔥my childhood 🎶🎵
There are and were tons of underrated artists in our country, they are just overshadowed by cliche mainstream acts. Some amazing artist just gave up, some keeps going. I love Cynthia Alexander, she's a great underrated lyricist...as well as her colleagues during the 90s-early 2000s...lots of great amazing bands.
SB19 may be popular atm yet i can't still see them mainstream...them and we, the fans, are just so dedicated fighting for it.
We Play Here / Warner where Lola Amour played was just recent event where showcased Warner Music Ph artists, includes Felip, Dilaw, etc... All are amazing acts.
Typecast, wow! Brings me back to my first love before i became an A'tin. One of the best bands here.
Please discover more bands of 90s and 2000s in the Ph.
I agree with SB19 still not considered mainstream artists even at this GENTO era (even with almost 1.5M dance cover on tiktok worldwide). The secret formula to being mainstream in OPM is producing hugot songs which I don't like personally that's why I never liked OPM until SB19 came. But hey, who needs to be a mainstream artist if you can't do concerts coz you only have millions of casual listeners who are not willing to spend money on you. I prefer SB19's status to be completely honest. Concerts, shows, and endorsements make artists rich, not millions of spotify streams that only pay measly on struggling singers.
@@msl8blo0m3r4 agree. Let's just say they are the most successful non-mainstream artist. 😉
Me neither, im not fan of "hugot songs"...though most of those hugot artists are really good but their themes/topics were quite almost the same.
@@amazonjelledsushi 🤨"quite almost the same"? 🤣 I beg to disagree! It's not the OPM, it's the K-Pop music. OPM has a lot to offer (not just hugot songs, idiots), you just have to EXPLORE and look CLOSER.
@@cecilleangelafelisilda5947 bakit galit agad teh? Hehe. Hindi naman ako nakikinig ng kpop kaya la din ako idea sa kanila. Anyways, wala naman ako sinabing against sa OPM in general. OPM naman lahat ng binanggit ko na artists, sabi ko nga daming overrated eh. Hehe. Anyway, have a nice day. :)
Oh, Typecast! I love them! Thanks for this RV!!!
Typecast oh yeah! One of my fave Pinoy bands! 🤙
Thank you for reacting to Cup of Joe and Lola Amour!! Hope you can check out some of their songs like Fallen, Estranghero and Tataya 🤗
Filipino artists are getting a damn win this year, so many good song releases, and many more to come for sure.
Omg LIHAM deserves millions of views esp hearing it live. IT'S full of emotions and is a powerful song.Sb19 rocks ❤ and yes it's raining in Manila lol...Ilove this song song and the rest of the songs in this reaction.Thank you for your reaction it was fun watching you both❤
Thank you amazing Guys Ezra n Weleska God bless you both
Thankyou for always including sb19 in your RV and to your podcast🥰
Omggg i'm a huge sb19 fan but i'm also glad that you are finally discovering cup of joe because these lads are insane talented
Cynthia Alexander although not mainstream has been around for a long time and is one of the greatest artists in the Philippine music scene in my opinion. She makes absolutely beautiful music. One of her albums called Comet's Tail is a treat to listen to with a good pair of earphones early in the morning or on a rainy day with some coffee or at any given time really
Pablo said is dedicated to A'tin. So I think the last part of the song is for all the A'tin that love them throughout that they never met and will never meet thus the apology and that they will still love those fans forever. Pablo is a genius.
Finally reacting to Typecast!! One of my fave bands. ❤❤❤ You must watch them live!! Ahhh may elementary and high school days. Met them a couple of times through gigs esp the bassist. Gonna watch them in a heartbeat!! Please react to their song, Will you ever learn.
Before SB19! I’m a big fan of typecast! ❤😭🫶🏼
I just adooooore the philosophical back-and-forth between the two of you. They are so applicable to life, in general. And thank you for reigniting my love for OPM! Wishing you both much love and success in all you do. ❤🙏🏼
yesss Cozy cove performances are always amazing, thanks for featuring Cup of Joe too, they just released an EP a few weeks ago! This band is so underrated and their live performances are always on point. Please please please react to more of their live performances, it's always a fun watch. My favorite are Estranghero, Nag-iisang Muli and Tataya on Cozy Cove
19:33 I'M DEAD 😂 OMG that was hilarious! I love "o ninanais" by Arthur!

'LIHAM"means LETTER...thanks for your nice reaction ❤❤❤
Here in Philippines good singer is everywhere even if they are not professional it's a god given talent.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Hey guys! I just want to thank you for always reacting to PH artists. It's funny, I'm here in the PH and I rarely take my time to discover new artists. When I watch your videos (usually when I'm at work), I discover new artists from here and I'm blown away by wide varieties of talents. Thank you!
Indie alternative / indie folk bands and singer songwriters dominate the opm charts today.. and hiphop
Very happy to see U guys enjoy Typecast 😊
Typecast was one of those bands to make me feel like urgh (emo days) together with urbandub, chicosci, neverending weekends etc
..love all the songs for this day’s playlist..❤❤❤❤❤

I love Typecast and SB19!
Your speech after reacting to raining in manila is such an eye opening moment to me. I've been listening to music since I was a kid and I'm aware of the hardships of musicians but your perspective added more depth and allowed me to internalize with that thought more. Now I appreciate songs and their artists on a more significant level thanks to you guys. I so love your reactions too!!! More power to you guys!

Thank you to both of you for always featuring opm artists/bands 🥺🎶
Here for SB19's Liham. You can watch the official lyric video with the eng translation for it on your own time. Much better than the ones read tbh. Nevertheless, thank you for including Liham on this podcast. :))
LSS ako diyan sa RAINING IN MANILA. Unang beses ko narinig paulit ulit ko nang pinapatugtog.
1st! Hello to one of my fave reactors!!
You guys made me watch the lyrics video for Raining in Manila (I'm not good at catching sung words in any language). I was so struck by the word choices in the second verse I rewinded 4 times. Just damn.
Oh gawwwd, Typecast! A lot of 90s kids teenage music haha
SB19 🥰💙and Typecast 🤘🔥Love that you're exploring different OPM genres.. 😊
The different tempos of Raining in Manila reminds me of the sudden coming and going of rain. So good!
Insane new songs what an experience and thanks for bringing me back boston drama
finally!!! been waiting for this.
“what’s happenin’ in the Philippines lately?” hahaha Efraaa!!
I agree with you, Waleska, i love ken's voice too, raspy and soulful in ballads.❤ i was there when Lola Amour performed with a live band. Warner local artists all performed with their bands and Felip sang 7/8 of his original songs as finale.❤ yes, i adore Janine Tenoso too, loved his collab with The Juans. It's the 1st time i heard of Cup of Joe, so i will really check them out. Dilaw also performed at the Cozy Cove. As always, Efra is so funny.😊

Finally the podcast is back. 😊
Idk when was the last time I tuned in to your video podcast (long form), but I can sense you've upgraded your editing. I can't put my finger on what exactly it is, but this production feels... expensive!
The commentaries, while they maintain the original charm and are still highly informative, are also at another level. As if you both figured out MUSIC and LIFE in its purest form!
Kudos to you, sibs! 🎉❤
The Lola Amour bassist is Raymond King
Pls do Some Reaction Video of Leonora by the Sugarcane, the Music is dedicated To Our Nation Hero here in the Philippines Jose Rizal to His First Love Leonora Rivera, during The Spanish Era of the Philippines ❤
