Wow!! Thank you for this RV. You finally found it. Daryl is my Godson on his wedding. He chose me as one of their Godmothers. I am very proud to be one. Daryl is a very down to earth kind of person. 🦃🎵Your comment about artists putting out covers and originals is on point. Many Filipino talents do more cover than originals when they are starting trying to get recognized and build a fan base. One exception is EZ Mil who put out a lot of his original works prior to getting famous. Thank you for always appreciating and supporting Filipino talents. Goodluck in your projects and endeavors here. More power.
Because Ez Mil is a songwriter producer as well. There are many Filipino singers but only few are songwriters🛌, composers and producers all at the same time like Ez Mil. He has that edge.
@@TheresaEstrella-iy6vh You are right. EZ took the time and effort to make original content. His earliest stuff on TH-cam were basic because he did everything by himself. I saw some of his early work when he was still a teenager, doing impromptu guitar/metalhead tracks. He is really gifted.
@@cleolauren8670 yes, he is a rare gem. Havent seen an artist as well rounded, as gifted and as hardworking like him from the Philippines. He was an independent artist for years, started from his room with bunk beds.

thats one mystery we also, filipino audience and OPM fans would wonder and be boggled maybe till the end of the world now, like how it is that all our amazing singers never really get to blow up like as in blow up globally and internationally, like we just cant think anymore of what couldve be the reason why and why 😂😢😅 we normally blame our govt for lack of support to local artists but what about being viral cuz of social media?? but ofc lets not forget Charice who made it back then, but aftr her, the dream and drought continued...BUT! The good thing for me is?? im a fan of SB19 and theyre slowly getting popular globally as a group, super talented and world class performers, not your ordinary boyband, thats why im not that sad anymore cuz we can see a big hope for SB19 to be really known all over, yeeyyy!!! 🎉🎉🎉

🦃🎶 Nice reaction guys. Your insights into the music industry are always welcome and eye-opening. Of the current generation of Filipino pop stars, I think Morissette, KZ Tandingan, and Moira have done the most original music. RC20 also has a lot of originals, many written by Pablo. Some rock groups and indie type artists put out original music (Ben and Ben, Sunkissed Lola, etc.) I wonder if the state of the Philippine music industry has a chilling effect on composers/songwriters releasing stuff. Maybe if your name isn't Alcasid, Cayabyab, or Valenciano, it's hard for your stuff to see the light of day. Kiko Salazar is one of the few recent composers who comes to mind.

Sometime ago there was a vocal coach who used to react on him. He was totally in him and really like the fact the way he makes the song his. Then he mentioned something like a minor strain somewhere. I think Daryl got hold of him and they talked after that the change in his voice is way better and more relaxed. I think only few would notice it.

Daryl’s cover is outstanding. Legend would be impressed, for sure. I felt he went and did Aguilera with the tuns towards the end; with Ordinary People, the runs and development are impeccable. Not overdone and most certainly not underdone.

Philippines is not lacking in great singers. But not enough songwriter. You will notice that most of these singers can only do is cover songs. Most of them don't even have their own songs at all. Don't get me wrong, it is not a bad thing to sing a popular song, even famous singers do that sometimes. But in the Philippines it's on a different level. They use a song as if it's really theirs. They would sing it at their tv guestings, in the movies, at their own concert, heck some even have an entire album with cover songs only in it. Maybe it's about time these singers learn a different technique, that is to write their own music.
I hope singers, songwriters, producers like Ez mil exists. Thats why he got recognized by Eminem, Dr.Dre he was rapping and singing even dancing the songs he wrote and produced.

They didn't say that he used auto-tune. They were saying because Daryl's pitch was on point on every key in his runs, whoever invented auto-tune could've used Daryl as a guide or inspiration on how one should sound -- because he's just that accurate and spot on!
