Even though I don't put my right hand fingers on the top row instead of the middle one (basically on u,i,o and p) I have found this position way more comfortable, proving once again that it all boils down to personal preference. I focused on the accuracy of my typing and the speed improved just from that alone. My raw speeds are 75 wpms cuz I need to look down at the keyboard to type correctly but my "real" typing speed is 53 at most.
ok, it might sound weird, but hear me out. I only use 5 fingers, but managed to hit 150 in 15 seconds, 130 in 30, and 100 in 60. I still use the wasd finger placement while typing. Reason being is that the letter a, e, w, and other close letters are used a lot more often than we might think. Because of this, I decided to use that finger placement, and the 2 fingers of my right hand for typing on the other side of the keyboard. I've familiarized myself pretty well enough, but my style does take SO much more time as you're basically using half the fingers that a normal typist is using.
Cool, but how can you be so hilarious and calm at the same time? Typing speed saves time - especially when u wanna type a whole paragraph to confess ur love XD *And she types "I'm not interested" in 3 words per second ;-;
Well, I knew the stuff that there's never really a shortcut to typing faster, but I was curious, and liked the production value and the ease with which you explained the entire thing. Just one question, do you think it makes a difference between switching from a TKL to a 60% keyboard? Both are mechanical and the layout is the same. It's just sometimes I feel like using the TKL and sometimes the 60%. My average speed is around 33-34 with 97-98% accuracy, but I am hoping to at least get it to 70-80 WPM. So, while practicing, should I stick to just one keyboard or can switch between them? Thank you.

It seems nearly impossible to go from 40 -120 in just one month though. I've been doing at least 30 minutes nearly 6 days/week for 4 months and I am barely hitting 110s. Mind you, I have been around computers for a good part of my life, so I am generally familiar with keyboard layouts, just didn't use all my fingers properly.

Omg finally someone that acknowledges the difficulty when switching keyboards😭guess who just got their first custom keyboard and is frustrated at the actuation distance🤧🤧
When i practice, i practice 4 times a day, like 20 min sessions. First session i use my laptop keyboard, and the next three sessions normal keyboard, so that i won't forget the layout of my laptop, it happened once after only practices on normal keyboard like for a week, and it took like a 30 min to adjust in laptop keyboard.
It's unfair how good you've become, because I've been casually typing in monkeytype for years now and I can't seem to overcome my limit, which is around 100 words per minute. I'm averaging around 80 wpm which makes me nothing compared to someone who can type 150.
My average is around 100 WPM and my best is 127WPM. I'm using a combination between standard typing layout and unorthodox. I use my right index finger to type 3-4 letters and my other right fingers for typing symbols and punctuation. If my right hand was like my left hand (positioned correctly), I would be much faster and more consistent
Hi Mom also has the same laptop that she got from office, It is a shallow one and really nice to type on. The laptop is heavy though. Felt as if we are related because you and mom have the same computer, Right now I average around 75-80 words per minute. Started to learn touch typing on March 22. ( I know I remember the date ). Goal is to hit 100 words per minute.
Anyone who wants to be a fast typist here's my tip when you do train yourself. I'm a 90-100wpm typist (not so fast still progressing as I experienced hiatus😂) *Some of this might differ to personal preferences* 1. Make sure to cut your nails cause for me it's hard to type with a long nail. 2. Make sure to read the words ahead of what you're typing probably 3 words earlier. Cause your fingers are faster than your reading speeds. 3. Normalized making long words short by reading eg; watermelon as a water-melon it'll be easy for you to type it in. 4. Just take it slow and steady make sure to have above or close to 96% accuracy if you're low then don't consider that as your highest WPM. In a long run it'll help you to improve your skills faster. 5. Make sure to use both left and right pinky for shifts (it consumes time for you to get used to it if haven't) 6. Make sure to use ctrl+backspace (as someone mentioned above. Though I rarely use it. 7. Get an arm lift for your keyboard if you need. 8. Don't look down on your keyboard unless you're still a beginner and practicing. 9. Make sure your fingers are in the right position (Google finger position keyboards) Hope this helps. Anyway goodluck on your journey
There is actually a game you can play to improve your typing - Typing of the Dead (you can probably find this free online somewhere) however there's a new version out Typing of the dead overkill which can be purchased on steam
I remember back in elementary school, our computer class had us use these Orange Covers to hide the keys for our keyboard and we just had to type what we saw in a book. We did this for 30 minutes a day 5 times a week. It was boring but apparently it has paid off as I'm astonished that a lot of people don't know how to type without looking at their hands and/or just use a few digits of their hands to type.
Ill be starting a channel of my own when i start uni (next month) , and just wanna say you are a huge inspiration , hope you hit 100k before 2022 ! GL !
Love keybr, I started it to help me learn touchtyping cause I use to type with just my index fingers and I would average around 60 wpm but I knew that learning to touchtype would make me much faster and more productive. My goal is to be able to average around 100 wpm with 95% or higher accuracy, I’ve been able to hit 100 wpm with the last few weeks or so, but it isn’t the average across every lesson, so I’m still tryna practice and get it consistent and as clean as possible to improve but overall, keybr has helped tremendously

Because of this, I decided to use that finger placement, and the 2 fingers of my right hand for typing on the other side of the keyboard. I've familiarized myself pretty well enough, but my style does take SO much more time as you're basically using half the fingers that a normal typist is using.
nice aha
"if i ever have friends"
i felt that 😔
Damn keo, you're going from the aesthetically pleasing youtuber to a very inspiring one. Kudos!
cheers aha

Monkey type when you go ham on the keyboard: *Mangekyo sharingan*
wonder what would happen at 200wpm

a brilliant video! You are hilarious!
I am starting my speed typing practice tomorrow.
you got thisssss
thank you so much sir
and thank you for giving wonderful oportunity to ask or to confess something
thank you
@@KeoTsang Hello sir
Finally a new video from my keo bhai(brother in hindi) 💜
cheers aha
Cool, but how can you be so hilarious and calm at the same time? You got me at the hook "if you want to argue with toxic people" and lead to your fast typing tips 😂
Also, I agree that fast typing makes me more productive and concentrate. The feeling when I type fast af makes me think I'm a hacker lol
good way to train your typing
I actually never bothered learning how to type faster till 5 years ago when i wanted to cuss at people mid game in csgo
it worked a treat. the 140 wpm was put to good use.
indeed
Programmable keyboards with macros can also make you more… efficient! 🤣🤣🤣
bro i type like a 120 WPM now but the grind was real, i once got obsessed with typing and did like an hour of typing tests and stuff. It took me a whole friggin year to reach the target from 35 wpm. Now i enjoy fighting on the internet . (btw i have attempted 1.5k tests on 10 FF )
lmao that's why we learn how to type fast
Why your videos are things that make my mood from shit to happy shit. Thank You for making my days amazing!!
uwu glad you liked it
Keep growing, you deserve at least 500k before the year ends! I have been practicing typing, and I have changed my wpm from 30 to 70 so far.
am working on it
YAAAS! I do want to fight toxic people online and this just makes me wanna learn typing fast with more motivation!!
Don't get doxxed, good luck!
@@neerbon9417 thank you!
solid video
cheers
WHY THIS CHANNEL ISN'T BIGGER YET!!!!!!!!!! Just found out your channel by algorithm and been watching like 10 videos in a row and every one is so instructive and also fun to watch. Love from China. 加油!
uwu thank you
Damn, impressive improvement in such a short amount of time😲! So did you first go over the "proper" touch typing technique or did you continue using your technique and end up developing your own style? Cheers✌🏼
I went with mine, but Im sure using the proper technique might enable me to type faster, just needs more time
Typing speed saves time - especially when u wanna type a whole paragraph to confess ur love XD
*And she types "I'm not interested" in 3 words per second ;-;
slow and painful
Well, I knew the stuff that there's never really a shortcut to typing faster, but I was curious, and liked the production value and the ease with which you explained the entire thing. Just one question, do you think it makes a difference between switching from a TKL to a 60% keyboard? Both are mechanical and the layout is the same. It's just sometimes I feel like using the TKL and sometimes the 60%. My average speed is around 33-34 with 97-98% accuracy, but I am hoping to at least get it to 70-80 WPM. So, while practicing, should I stick to just one keyboard or can switch between them? Thank you.
I would stick to one keyboard if I were you just to be a bit more consistent with it
@@KeoTsang thank you!
@@KeoTsang hey man my typing speed is about 35 words per minute on average but when I try to have it done without looking to the keys it drizzles to 16 wpm while doing accurately. Could you suggest some remedies for it
@@KeoTsang moreover other than the laptop keyboard I have an amkette mechanical keyboard too. Should I switch in b/n or rather stay with the hp laptop keys, which would be more preferential
This is one of the videos i watched when i bought a mechanical keyboard. Really helped...Thnx.....watching it again after few month again.😊
thanks for dropping by again lol
i am subbing to this man, his videos are really good, he is humorous and his editing is really good.
appreciated the comment aha
It seems nearly impossible to go from 40 -120 in just one month though. I've been doing at least 30 minutes nearly 6 days/week for 4 months and I am barely hitting 110s. Mind you, I have been around computers for a good part of my life, so I am generally familiar with keyboard layouts, just didn't use all my fingers properly.
you got thisssss
how do you edit that hologram thing where it displays what you're typing on monkey type at 3:05?
screen record and blend
Oh! I see Bonk Cats!
My typing speed has been improving quite a lot when the quarantine comes (also at the holidays)
Arguing with toxic people gives me motivation haha
Also, I have so many struggles being constantly procrastinating qq
It kind of sucked
bonk bonk
Your sense of humour is awesome, loving it!
love the comment too!
thanks for the help keybr has been a great help so far
Glad to hear it!
I know you aren't interested in linguistics so my advice is that you should take your camera and run away somewhere 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 (hide the belts before doing that).
PS: My dad is a photographer
nah the belts too long, can reach me anywhere
Great vid. i started to learn touch typing 3-4 days ago and my speed has dropped from around 40 to a constant 15 wpm. is that normal?
yes, it's all about practice
What an amazing video ! enjoyed it and learned too . have recently improved my speed from 20 to 40 . Now aiming for an 80.
Keep it up

uwu
Could you please make a video on how you learnt to edit?? I mean those cinematic edits.... cause DUDE YOU AMAZE ME!!!
maybe in the future aha
0:40 how am I just now noticing the 🐐's Poster? You're a legend man.
hahaha
I really need this video these days, I'm beginning to learn how to type fast.
You can do it!
Omg finally someone that acknowledges the difficulty when switching keyboards😭guess who just got their first custom keyboard and is frustrated at the actuation distance🤧🤧
When i practice, i practice 4 times a day, like 20 min sessions. First session i use my laptop keyboard, and the next three sessions normal keyboard, so that i won't forget the layout of my laptop, it happened once after only practices on normal keyboard like for a week, and it took like a 30 min to adjust in laptop keyboard.
it's all about practice
Your editing is the best is on TH-cam man!!🥰
Appreciate that
It's unfair how good you've become, because I've been casually typing in monkeytype for years now and I can't seem to overcome my limit, which is around 100 words per minute. I'm averaging around 80 wpm which makes me nothing compared to someone who can type 150.
it's all about practice!
your videos are a whole mood I swear
uwu
this is so well made!
cheers aha
I’ve watched so many fast typing videos and this one is my favourite
much love aha
Thanks for the link! I am going to practice to improve my typing skills.
go for it!
Honestly, your gifted.
Probably been 6-8 months that I've been practicing and got from 60 to probably 85
it's all about practice haha
not keo flexing his maths skills
erm, not really maths skills lol
My average is around 100 WPM and my best is 127WPM. I'm using a combination between standard typing layout and unorthodox. I use my right index finger to type 3-4 letters and my other right fingers for typing symbols and punctuation. If my right hand was like my left hand (positioned correctly), I would be much faster and more consistent
it's all about practice!
I subscribed, just for the sheer comedic vibe of this guy!
thank you so much
I’m obsessed with typing asmr 🥲🥲🥲 Thank you for the tips! ✨
thank you for watching it aha

Great video man, the vid was buttery smooth and crisp

Hi Mom also has the same laptop that she got from office, It is a shallow one and really nice to type on. The laptop is heavy though. Felt as if we are related because you and mom have the same computer, Right now I average around 75-80 words per minute. Started to learn touch typing on March 22. ( I know I remember the date ). Goal is to hit 100 words per minute.
you got this
Liked your literal feel of the keyboard :)

Great video 👍

I love the way you crafted the whole video...just loved it. ❤️
thank youuuu
Anyone who wants to be a fast typist here's my tip when you do train yourself.
I'm a 90-100wpm typist (not so fast still progressing as I experienced hiatus😂)
*Some of this might differ to personal preferences*
5. Make sure to use both left and right pinky for shifts (it consumes time for you to get used to it if haven't)
6. Make sure to use ctrl+backspace (as someone mentioned above. Though I rarely use it.
7. Get an arm lift for your keyboard if you need.
8. Don't look down on your keyboard unless you're still a beginner and practicing.
9. Make sure your fingers are in the right position (Google finger position keyboards)
Hope this helps.
Anyway goodluck on your journey
thanks for the tips!
There is actually a game you can play to improve your typing - Typing of the Dead (you can probably find this free online somewhere) however there's a new version out Typing of the dead overkill which can be purchased on steam
oooo I'll try it out
amazing videos man!! Hooked to your channel
thanks for dropping by
I remember back in elementary school, our computer class had us use these Orange Covers to hide the keys for our keyboard and we just had to type what we saw in a book. We did this for 30 minutes a day 5 times a week. It was boring but apparently it has paid off as I'm astonished that a lot of people don't know how to type without looking at their hands and/or just use a few digits of their hands to type.
Yes ahaha it was great practice
I was actually thinking that I needed to improve my typing speed to take notes faster in class. Thanks for the tips and the websites☺️
all the best
I love people who teach things with a lot of sense of humor
thank you for watching it aha
Congrats on 100k!
much appreciated aha
Ill be starting a channel of my own when i start uni (next month) , and just wanna say you are a huge inspiration , hope you hit 100k before 2022 ! GL !
thanks for the support
Love keybr, I started it to help me learn touchtyping cause I use to type with just my index fingers and I would average around 60 wpm but I knew that learning to touchtype would make me much faster and more productive. My goal is to be able to average around 100 wpm with 95% or higher accuracy, I’ve been able to hit 100 wpm with the last few weeks or so, but it isn’t the average across every lesson, so I’m still tryna practice and get it consistent and as clean as possible to improve but overall, keybr has helped tremendously
super useful
this video really amazing
thank youu
1:05 really is the mood tho , once you get into custom keyboards
lmao true
