So compress air and fuel is already on the piston??
Watching these so late at night like imma be a mechanic or something yet it hits me in all seriousness I have so much access to insightful information and the generation takes this so lightly.
ikr, this shit is so interesting
its wonderful we should all share it, we are in a great time
the Internet is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G and 90% of youth is taking selfies with food and drinks on silly beach excursions! We can look up anything instantaneously! Incredible

Probably the best 'How an Engine Works' video on TH-cam... in terms of visuals. That voice is possibly one of the worst.
YES... YES IT IS
It could be much worse
Thought it was really clear so I like it very much. Pronunciation are excellent

Meh. The content is what matters. Delivery is unimportant.

I’m building a car engine with my dad out of spare parts and this actually helped me understand a little better. Thanks!
Did it work out?
Yeah tell ys its actually turns out
Yes!
@@bucalo8548 why won't it? Its not rocket science
@@vishveshtadsare3160 it may not be, but buliding a car engine(which has many pieces involoved) mainly out of spair parts is crazy. The video simplifies the many parts of a car engine, but it doesn't provide the entire engine parts list. (Not hating on the video btw ot was a great video)

Try looking up trade schools in your area, if you're interested enough to make it a career. I barely had any tuition assistance (like maybe $600 from my state's lottery) but I seriously only pay $650 in tuition every 4 months. Of course you have to buy tools, but American Job Centers apparently paid for alot of my classmates'.
@@haZedxClanz I would also suggest Uncle Tony's Garage, Greg Alberalla, and Deboss Garage as well.
I'm a software engineer but I'm starting to find mechanical engineering even more fascinating.
JediFresh I do both software and mechanical, so take it from me it will be fun to lear more! 😊
it could be a great combo!
I'm the complete opposite lol, on a Mech Eng course and finding the digital electronics and software engineering parts way more interesting

It was hard for me to find a video of how the engine works that is full HD and name of the components on it. This video has everything that I need to know.

31 years old and today was the day I found out 4 stroke didn't mean it was because there were 4 pistons in the engine
The explanation and quality of the content is just exceptionally good.
Please do cover as many topics as possible.
Awesome job and all the best for your future work.

Never learnt all my life what I learnt in this 4 minutes video. Thanks.
Knowing this, it's insane that the same engine in my Honda can be doing this enough times to make my car travel 181,000 miles over 19 years. And still going strong. What an amazing machine.
that's exactly what I was thinking about... the car I drive is from 1996
She still kicking?
That's because Honda is the largest internal combustion engine manufacturer in the world (at least gasoline engines). They make the best quality engines in the world or at least the old ones were. In fact their engines are so good that a lot of companies like the Harbor freight preditor brand of small engines, Biggs and stratton and many other companies make their small engines based off Hondas patented small engine design hence the term "honda clone" engine. He'll even a lot of the Chinese knockoff engines on Amazon still use the same design only their built poor quality but they still use the same iconic design.
I am a new man now
I’m a car newbie and this actually really helped
Omg, this is the most clear explanation ever for someone who doesn't know anything about car engine. Thanks a lot!

Extremely helpful. Helped me understand completely. Thank you.
As a young man who doesn't know much about how a car works and is trying to learn, this was super helpful! Thank you so much for explaining everything clearly and slowly. Great job on this video!
Great presentation and conveyance of that concept. I'm so enlightened. I've had this explained before and gained only a rudimentary understanding. This visual representation and style of breaking it down is very helpful. Thank you!
Simple and best... Need much videos like it... Thumbs up 👍

This is one of the best videos showing how an engine works.
thanks guys that's the most helping video i found online in this topic so far!
awesome vids, please make more, I love this stuff
Awesome explanation, thanks a lot!
Absolutely great and professional. Thanks for this beautiful video. I hope you make other videos about how the clutch works and the gear box cuz it's the most important component while driving. Thank you
The best video on how engine work so far on the internet
I love you tube,am learning alot
So anyways I’m building a race car now
not with a four cylinder lmao
These videos are excellent. Very thorough and accurate. You need to upload more videos!!!!
Excellent explaination through animation! Clear and simple.
i love it very much
Very interesting, its Amazing how most of us gets in a car and drives
,meanwhile we are not aware on how the engine works.
That's how it is for most things
I was struggling understanding this concept for a while. After watching this, its clearer than glass. Thank you so much for this video
Finally I know how does it WORKS!!! U R AMAZING!
This is my very first video on car stuff, that’s it, I’m done being the only one who can’t even tell what brand a car is

You will be happy to know that I used your video as an educational lessons for my 6th grade grandson. Already a car enthusiast, he found especially interesting minute 1:25 where it talks about the four strokes of the internal combustion engine. Thanks for posting this informative video.
163 Reasons Why Real Estate Agents Fail I’m in 6th grade and my grandpa has been teaching me this for the last couple weeks
Great animation for learning purpose. I have been watching heap of other similar videos but none of them demonstrated as detailed as this video. The TTS voice is great too, slow and clear especially for none English native background like me. Thanks and keep up the good work.
This is an outstanding video. I'm not really a car guy but can do some minor things DIY, but wouldn't touch the actual engine to try to fix something because I have no idea how they function when it comes to specifics.
Anyway, I found this video because I was watching a video on fighter planes from World War II and their engines, and got sick of being incapable of following along. This was an amazing video as a primer to the basic aspects of the engine, and within about 4 minutes, I got an infinitely better understanding of how they work (even tho it's elementary for people who work on their cars), so thank you!
Thanks, this was helpful.. please upload more on Lubricating and Electrical systems.. Thank you.
I can help you with the lubricating part.
Im a 20 year old young girl. I have no idea why i needed to know this but im happy i do now😂
Be a mechanic!
Understanding mechanics thanks to you :D
thank you so much, now i understand engine working easily. THANK YOUUUUUUUUU
Came here after my mechanic fixed my car infront of me and he tried explaining all of this to me...now I'm my own mechanic
I was taught intake, compression, combustion, exhaust.
Best tutorial of otto cycle, i was searching and didn't find better video than this one
nice work clearly can understand whats going on an engine
Interesting though, so that’s the whole point of petrol in the car. Is just for the combustion part to enable the power stroke which moves the crankshaft. And then the emissions just exit through the outlet valve. I never thought it played such a seemingly small role.
Small but important role. Small things matter, don't they?
Somebody sat down one day and said "I'm going to invent an engine"
Amazing information . I’m so grateful to have it so easily accessible
This was actually really helpful! Thanks!

I'm so confused, I need someone to really dumb it down for me and explain each terminology because I'm starting from no car knowledge
Smarter Everyday has a video that helped me, so I think it will help you too!
@shucks yea lol the way I think of it as is a car engine compared to human lungs, we breath in than breathe out, a car engine is similar as fuel/air mixture goes in than goes out.
Shucks i can help
I love you
Johnny C you should love your sister
cam SHAAAFT in the cam SHAAAAFTS XD
In this 4 minute video I learned more than in a year at school...
Omg thank you I understood better than just reading this on my book text, it was a good video, please cover as many topics as you can, awesome work
Why I'm watching this i don't have a Car?
i just wanted to learn how a car works!! maybe fix mine... im too dumb for this
Fixing it and learning how it works are completely different, good luck
PurpleDjango Not really... you cant fix something if you have no clue how...
City Treasures no you're not. Just watch chrisfix vids. That's how i learned how to fix stuff and after i watch it, i look up stuff that i don't understand from his vids on the internet for example wikipedia and youtube. Try it.
I just bought car and i want to learn how to fix my car if i anything happens
Superior right!! i want to fix my own shit!! i just camt grasp any of thus

This would require taking a legit class as part of some course...valuable info available so easily. thanks a ton!
Thank you so much this is amazing
Love when I see details and explanations
Not bad, but you may want to proof-read that next time.
Unless you live in Guangdong, China we call that bad, stinkin' English.
Is an Intake Valve really necessary?
I mean, if you have a fuel injection system that injects the fuel then could you not also inject air or Lqd Ox with the fuel?

respect to all you mechanics,, peace.

Amazing!!! Thanks so much for this.
Amazing video, refreshed my basic engineering concepts I studied around 20 years ago
Sounds like he has a stroke every time he says stroke
Brilliant video. Thank you.
how on earth someone dislike this video ????
it is simple clear easy and short :D
Because they prefer hamster wheels as a power source
Great Video, clear explanation and clear terminology
They should teach stuff like this in schools as it is relevant to our daily lives!
Another perfectly explained video
Alot of my car knowledge is just from watching videos like this. I'm teaching myself as I go.
Thank you very much I've been wondering about that for so long.

Oh man, I have no ideas about cars or engines, but this was educational.
Thank you for this explanation.
