  • Our MG HS Vibe 2000 model had a flat battery and was unable to start. More details here.

Charged the battery with a Ctek smart charger and only lasted a few days before the car would not start again.
Review of the Ctek smart charger notsealed.com/...
The battery was less than 2 years old and was finally replaced with a Century DIN53LH 60ah 640 cca under warranty.
Our New MG HS now has a 60ah AGM battery.

I would suggest the battery tray is a one size fits all for the SAIC factory and all the different models they produce

Makes sense I wonder what vehicle SAIC make that has the massive battery.

If the doors and/or bonnet is open and the image of the door open warning is blocking the screen, you can press the OK button and it removes it.

The battery problems are related to the times you start and stop the car. More times you start, more degradation. Btw, in your case it is not normal that low performance of that battery. Buy a quality one.

My car been making Clicking Sounds, all lamps flashing and message says, 12v Battery Low.
However upon putting new battery, the car still not starts and same clicking sounds along with lamps flashing shows up.
Car's not getting start up despite new battery. Any idea on that ?

Make sure the battery is charged. Try a jump start from another car.
The lamps and codes flashing means the battery is going below 12v most probably under 10v during the cranking of the car.

In my case the stock battery failed within 2 years so was replaced under warranty. Book your MG in to get the battery replaced. It was replaced with a higher capacity one. So far it's been fine. Lots of reports online with these stock batteries failing early.

Best to take it to a mechanic as there could be a problem with the wiring. Make sure your car battery is fully charged.

The thing's have a starting issue and try to charge for module's and sensors while still under warranty. Especially the ZS. Preferred the old British ZS to junk Chinese ZS I have now. It also has no power when compared to the British version!

Yeh if still under warranty don't touch anything and let them fix it. Many complaints online with bad battery showing up and sensor faults. I have the MGHS and find it has plenty of power once the turbo kicks in.

My MG HS ESCL Fault coming any idea

    • @NotSealed
      @NotSealed  ปีที่แล้ว

I'm guessing it's electronic steering column lock ESCL.
Make sure the car battery is fully charged give the steering wheel a little wiggle side to side.
Otherwise it's a wiring or solenoid fault in the steering column.
