listen I'm not saying that your mom should start a chess podcast or something but I am saying I could listen to that 24/7. she is so calm, confident and knowledgeable (and funny XD) and has great presentation skills. It's always awesome to see her in your videos :D

This is the best idea. Pia is so calm but also instructive. I learned so much watching her commentary on Anna’s tournament in reykejvik. I also feel like she has good stories to tell
I’m still fascinated by all their accents! Swedish, Spanish but when Anna and her parents are in videos they all speak English! So cool!
Your mom speaks very softly and explains everything very well while being patient. Makes the end game very easy to listen to. Great video! Your mom rocks!

that reminds me of my Dungeon master. Whenever we proposed something with questionable results he asked us "Are you sure?", confirming the action would either yield to something very good or very bad, or in chess term, it would have been either a brilliant move or a terrible blunder, nothing in between.

I'm a deaf girl Anna and play chess so much, no where near your ability, I'm still learning and make some very silly mistakes. Your Mum is much like my Gran who taught me. She could sign instruction, but she sadly passed away, so now basically rely on learning by playing, frustrating at times. I have planned moves, along with playing ahead of my opponent's move, I try hard to control the game. Your breakdown on the end game is a terrific help. Sending you and your Mum a . Thankyou. A little off-topic, but did you know that your mom is an unintentional ASMR-tist? Her voice is so soothing it helps me sleep. When I saw her on your video and found out she's your mom a couple weeks ago I flipped out. So cool. That is actually why I subbed. Hi mom! 😅

I don't know how I ended up finding your channel, but I am considering going back to chess and look for places where I can learn and practice after watching lot of these videos xD, I played a lot around the age of 6-8, then on high school I played only when I had some free time and I play with friends occasionally, been like a year since my last match xD
Thank you for the video. It is very informative. I just recently learned the concept of using your rook to cut off the opponent's king. It makes the endgame easier to play not having to worry about the king.
