I just purchased and installed about three weeks ago and the design has even further improved. No longer are there holes and plugs for the frame material in the front left and right corners, since there is no need for them with the new front clip installation. I've been very happy with mine. They make a discernible difference in the heat of summer.

Hi, The shipping design is a little different. The front sliding clips are a little shorter. The sliding clips insert in the liner closer to left and right of the final position.
@@gkleung510 Yes, the package is much more compact than the first version. I think that’s how they can reduce the price down to almost half from first version.

It's a nice fit and looks good, but there is no considerable temperature difference on hot days the car will still heat up eventually. Useful in keeping the sun off your head. It was $150 on Amazon mid-August 2023.

I didn’t know model 3 roof looks different from model Y. We just got our car 1 month ago and have driven during triple digest heat in California so I wonder if we really need this for during summer time. Thanks for the review; we will look into Model Y 😊

I just installed mine today and the front shade was kind of a tight fit. The driver's side sits a bit lower and not as flush as the passenger side due to frame rubbing against the liner. Also, the shade did not want to close all the way in. If I try to shut it closed, the shade would slide a tiny bit out leaving a small gap.

@@PackFan-tv5pj The side curtain air back would likely drops down but the sunshade clips onto top part of the headliner.
With that being said, it shouldn’t interfere with side curtain airbags.

No, I would not do that. Although I would buy a Tesla and use as an Uber or Lyft car for side hustle income.

Why not moving these lockers to the right and the left before putting the sunshade in place?
It’s harder to put it on the left and right first. There is more room to put it in the middle first and as you move out to left and right it will get narrower and tighten up the locking clips.
This is definitely the cheapest one I’ve seen and easiest to install that I can find so far.

I haven’t seen or test Version 2 for Model Y yet. Hopefully they will send one over to test and review soon.

@@dadstoyscars are the materials and build quality the same? It is such a big price difference.
@@kgflash4Sr they actually improved from previous version. I think it’s more on the logistics that made it lower cost.
They figured out the better way to install and package it in smaller box.

@@kgflash4Sr They just sent this version to me too. I think Model Y version 1 should be a little better structure because it seem like the V2 model Y comes in more pieces and you have to put them together yourself. This is just my speculation as they they haven’t send model Y V2 to me yet.
