Adam you are a top man for posting this video. My 2015 BiTurbo had this fault at 20,000 miles and was fixed under warranty. Its happened again at 45,000 miles. My fault is exactly what you describe, and I have whipped off tge sensor, shoved a long piece of wire down the pipe and pulled out loads of black crud. I also pushed a bicycle brake cable down it aswell. I reconnected it all and went for a blast. Initially, the error was still there, but after a few miles it cleared. Doing videos like this is what helps others with similar problems, so well done. Cheers.

i have the renault version of this van, and its at renault to see if they can find the fault, under warranty, when mine did that the revs died with the engine nearly cutting out, with no power in the engine, then when i turned it off and on it ran as normal, mine has only done 26k miles, i am hoping they sort it this time, good to see the possible cause though.
I had those problem since van was 6 months old and had ot ever since. The pipe gets clothed every 6 months and so have to clean ot through. Nothing wrong with the sensor. I bet Vauxhall have made a fortune out of this. If the pipe was a bigger diameter I don't think thos would be an issue. No need to change the pipe, just get some sturdy, flexible wire and push ot down the pipe. Don't lose it though!! Your van will throw loads of fault codes once it gets blocked and even go into limp mode. You have been warned.
Mine was a faulty EGR. Replaced under warranty then the EGR cooler went shortly after it. The tell tale sign of the EGR cooler failing is a whoosing sound under acceleration, like the boy racer cars dump valve. It is a real expensive job.

Thanks again.
Hi Glad my little video is of help to you. That is a very good point. I'm not to sure why they block up or how easy it is to even take the pipe off. Main dealers quotes quite a bit to fit the new one
@@adamcooper7677 Yeah the pipe connects to the exhaust manifold, would leave that where it is and just take the rubber pipe at the top off and give it a quick clean with a small pipe brush. I guess if the block was bad enough the whole thing would need to come out. Hope this never happens.

Hi all, I have the same warning lamp showing up but furthermore I have the issue that when speeding up in different gears, there are some interruptions like missing air or missing fuel inbetween (kind of small pushings). The warning sign did actually appear right after these interruptions. These interruptions are continuing and the sign "check anti pollution system" is lighting up every time. Did one of you guys had the same exprience? Just to be sure that I am not having another problem as the one you explain in your video as you only mention the warning sign. Anyway, I am going to try that sensor exchange and hope the warning sign and "pushing" will dissappear.

Hi Adam, I've had the pipe cleaned but the problem persists although this time there are no fault codes even though the engine management light is on. Would it be worth changing the sensor do you think, pipe now clear.
@@thedentons50 yes , my symptoms included no low end boost but fine above2600-2800 rom when it pulled like a train. Turned out to be a thing behind the engine that opens and closes the valve that sends pressure to the turbos, mine was only sending to the large turbo hence only top end boost. Mine was situated behind the engine on the right. Basically open the bonnet and at the back of the engine on the right hand side. Apparently there a couple there's so they'll need checking to find the faulty one ( if you have se same fault) . My garage moved them around until they could identify the faulty one. They happened to have a scrap Renault/Nissan engine in the garage and it had the same parts so the used one off that and cured the fault.

Well done Mate for posting this up because i had exactly the same problem with my Bi turbo and you saved me a fortune . . THANK YOU
Was yours down on power when fault?
Just wanted to drop in and say thank you for your video, I stumbled across it while searching for the same fault codes. Removed sensor from my Trafic 3 which has only done 22000 miles and it looked exactly like yours! After ordering one off eBay and cleaning the pipes/changing sensor all fault codes cleared and everything back to normal, if anyone else has problems cleaning the pipe that goes down to the exhaust manifold I found an old bicycle brake cable was perfect, after clearing around 30mm of hard carbon with a drill bit I found it went soft and gooey and the brake cable removed to gooey stuff right down to the exhaust. Thanks again fella! Saved me more than a few bob! I owe you a pint 👍🍺
My pleasure. Really glad this has helped you.
Very satisfying when it all comes together 😀
Invoice will be in the post 😂
Hi jason if you blow down this pipe would it blow clear in to exhaust ? And what sort pressure comes out of it? Think mines blocked
Solid
@@gavalarbellz5019 hi Gavalar, yes any crap will blow into the exhaust, there is still some pressure there but you should be able to blow at least some air into it, the carbon deposits do go very hard and take some clearing, just keep spinning a wire brake cable in there and removing it often to give it a clean, you’ll get there eventually 👍 since I did mine I’ve used 6in1 diesel additive with every fill and tried to avoid supermarket fuel, not had any problems since 👍
How far down isit to the exhaust rougly so ino if the cable going far enough gna try this tomro morning
Great video pal! I got £200 bill last year new sensor and cleaned out the pipe(they wanted 230 for new pipe lol) . Lasted about a year came back on 2 weeks ago I'll give the clean pipe myself now you showed me where it is 👍

@@dalemoore11 mine was clogged with soot right near where the pipe is mounted to the manifold. It's way after the little rubber pipe. Top man I just did what you said and fault light clear straight away cheers buddy 👍👍
i have the renault version of this van, and its at renault to see if they can find the fault, under warranty, when mine did that the revs died with the engine nearly cutting out, with no power in the engine, then when i turned it off and on it ran as normal, mine has only done 26k miles, i am hoping they sort it this time, good to see the possible cause though.
Nice vid you can poke bowden cable down the pipe to unblock it
Cheers for the information, I have a 2014 vivaro and I've just had the same faults come up on the dash. I'll let you know how I get on cheers again
Thanks. Be good to know if it works for you
I did mine.. it’s a piece of piss.. I used a brake cable on the end of a drill to clean my pipe out.. didn’t need to change the sensor either. Only cost £4 for the brake cable 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳
Thanks a lot for this upload. Same problem with my Vivaro, though it has only done 20k miles ! The block was so bad i had to use a flexible drill bit adapter and drill out the blockage, absolute nightmare getting it all out. I wonder why this happens and can only assume it is going to get blocked up again. Might be worth while taking the pipe off at service intervals and give it a quick clean to keep it clear.
Not boring. A lesson in how to save vast amounts of dough !?
Thanks for this saved me a fortune
renault trafic 2.0 115 2012 i had the same problems, emission fault and eventually check injectors, it would cut out at 2500 rpm and struggle up even gentle inclines, i simply took it for a 10 mile run on dual carriageway, normal revs not revving the tits of it, and eventually it cleared, just lucky i guess.
Thanks for the vid, i was getting geared up for this repair and just thought i would try the easy way out.

i have same issue with check lights. i just ordered the new sensor. I will replaced tomorrow. hopefully it will be fixed. fingers cross
Hi alin did it sort it ?
Hi I am having the same problem did it solve your problem changing the sensor 👍🏼
I have also the emissions fault and an intermittent injection fault … I am wondering if it is same problem !
Nice one, thanks for that 👍👍
Thanks for the video and explanation
Does this fault also limit power intermittently?
I have the same issue, “multi clip comes off easy”? I didn’t find that to be the case 😀
Thanks for posting this. Do you know what code came up from obd? I have 'Check Anti Pollution System' warning and engine light is on - getting code p0470 on obd reader which corresponds to 'Exhaust Pressure Sensor A' so seems like the same thing

How do you actually take off the valve from the bracket. I've tried with adjustable spanner but don't want to break anything. There is slight play on the bracket, not sure if you just knock it out. Thanks
Hi adam what was the van running like?
I have a similar problem with check injectors message with spanner light that pops up.
I had someone look at it they are saying it could be the turbos?
I’ve had the check injection and did also have check emissions after I changed the mass air sensor. Would this be the same for my vivaro 2012 2.0 cdti ? Great video

Great video, many thanks. I have a similar problem p0472 fault. Are you saying that there should be air pressure coming through the pipe to the sensor? There is no pressure on mine so am guessing it's blocked but we're unable to clear it any advice would be helpful
Hi. At idle you wont feel anything but if you get a friend to sit in the car and rev it up so that it boosts you should feel air coming out the pipe
@@adamcooper7677 brilliant, many thanks for the quick response. Definitely blocked them as nothing coming through. My only option appears to be a new pip.
Hi Adam, I've had the pipe cleaned but the problem persists although this time there are no fault codes even though the engine management light is on. Would it be worth changing the sensor do you think, pipe now clear.
Hi Paul
Did you manage to sort the problem my 65 plates the same my sensors clean ? And pipe looks the same ….
