Had exactly same problem on megane 3 1.5 dci 110 , check anti pollution, check injection , check limiter and cruise control . Found your excellent video and purchased a new sensor . After fudging the wiring connected it all up but problem still existed so did a bit more searching and realised that exhaust gasses have to be blowing at some pressure from the top of the pipe , nothing was blowing from mine , pushing a thin piece of wire down I realised it was totally blocked so a few hours later with the help of some carb cleaner , wire and a battery drill managed to clear the blockage and had a nice jet of exhaust gasses blasting through , put back on the old sensor and everything cleared and working fine . So to sum up a new sensor won't work if there isn't any exhaust pressure . Keep up the excellent videos 👍👍👍
I’ve seen quite few blocked up , generally if you have atmospheric pressure on live data for the exhaust pressure , the pipe will most likely be blocked 👍 thanks for the feedback

And several weeks ago began to show the orange light Check Anti-Pollution and Chek Injection too. Some test show a P0471 error, related with exhaust pressure sensor. I hope to solve it with the help from your video.
I have a Renault Megane Coupe 1.4lt- tce 130Hp, with less than 50000 km. I had 2 errors in my screen: 1. Check injection system 2. Check anti-pollution system. Also, the cruise control and the speed limiter wouldn't work. The car lost his power and it didn't accelerate well. The technician saw that there was a hole at the plastic air tube before the turbo. He fixed it, (in about 10 mins) and didn't ask for me any money, even if I insisted. He told me that this was probably the fault because due to the small hole the turbo didn't have enough air - and so the car had less power. He also told me that if this happens again to turn the engine off for about 2-5mins and not to push the car (drive to high rpm). So far so good (it didn't happen again) If it will happen again I will add a comment.
For me, only the check injection system appears, but it appears when I turn on the ignition, I don't have to start the engine..it disappears but in general it remains...1.4tce engine..just the cylinder head was rectified and the distribution changed..Do you think it is the same thing?? I tried to delete the error but it reappears after I delete it.. it gives me Oxygen sensor no passed and catalyst no passed... Thank you!!!

Just got the check anti-pollution message with engine light and spanner. Megane iii gt line diesel 2015, 42k on clock. Drives fine, cruise control works fine, no other warnings come up.. gonna have to book it in tomorrow somewhere I guess.

Been to my mechanic for INJECTOR SYSTEM CHECK, POLLUTION SYSTEM CHECK and exhaust gas lights. Diagnostics reported an error: Lost signal on the air connector. Error canceled and everything works again. Without warning, the cruise control works, the speed limiter works and everything else. Without any errors. The mechanic says that due to the vibrations from the bad road, the contact, i.e. the signal, is currently lost on one of the air connectors.
I had the same error code few years ago, but for me it wasn't the sensor, it was the pipe that the sensor connects to it, was blocked, took it down and used steel wire to unblock it
i have had the same problem for a while now, no change in car perfomance, same amber warning lights as you have, polution system and injection system, i can wipe the fault off and it stays off driving around town but if i hit 50mph it comes on again, did your fault do this?,, i assumed it would have been a blocked dpf filter, i put your part code into ebay and there coming up from £17- £35,, il order and give it a try,,,thank you sir

Just changed this sensor on my 2013 1.5 dci. Got the sensor and wiring adapter off ebay for around 20 quid brand new! My car was giving spurious faults like egr valve stuck open, and unknown wiring issue with low pressure egr...(yes there are 2 EGR`s on this model) had the engine fail light on etc...changed this sensor and everything disappeared.
Power on my vehicle is good i did had diagnostic done no fault on still cleared the fault was ok for few days went on long run light came on back again

Thanks bud I’m glad you are enjoying the videos ... it’s a hit or miss to de-pin those plugs to be honest even with the right tool , if you have a pig tail with the new plug I would just cut it 👍

my megane have DPF problem and I was told told to change EGR VALVE and relay , sensor too . and I did that but again my DPF is clogged in just 5000 km , you have any idea what could be reason in this situation .

I have the same problem cruise control turns off and back on all the time when i drive. Also check injection system light is on. Renault said it could be anything wrong .. that they have to take the turbine and take the engine apart and cost for labor ‘only, is 800€. Also funny part is the warning lights on the dash started to show after Reno yearly oil and filter change. Any tips can it be the same thing as in the video?
I have had this problem also a few times, On my 2009megane 3 dci coupe 160000miles I cured mine by cleaning my egr and replacing the fuel filter (at the front behind wheel arch). Not sure but I think the problem is more to do with the fuel filter.

Thaks for the video, I have a 2013 Renault Fluence 2.0 petrol. It shows "Check Anti-Pollution system( low power when eccalarating), it has new coils and spark plugs. I'm not sure if it reqires the new sensor?
It shouldn’t really affect anything starting the car in reverse gear ... if the fault message still there I would suggest to scan the car before any conclusion 👍👍👍

My megane does not appear to have that sort of exhaust pressure sensor? Nor do I have DPF (Fap) But the sensors for sale say it fits my car!!!! Anyone got any idea where it may be
I've got a 2013 Megane rs sport 265 trophy and it comes up with check injection system then goes into limp mode. when I ran the scan, it comes up with engine speed sensor signal. I've been having trouble finding this part and fixing the car for a while now so if anybody has had this problem or knows how to fix it please let me know. thank you

However I have found sensors on Ebay ranging from £30 to £90 but as you said in video they are the new type but are obviously aftermarket
I recently got the 'Check Injection system' and 'Check anti-pollution' warnings, but now I am getting an 'engine failure hazard/stop' warning light. I was going to change the sensor as you have but I don't know if the engine failure warning is related. Any ideas? The car runs perfectly and the warning goes off after five mins and may not return until a day or so later. Engine temp never goes above 50% either. Could that sensor be the cause? Thanks in advance for any advice
It could be sensor for sure I did have the engine hazard warning about 3 times before changing the sensor , I used turn the ignition off and on again and the warning would go away 👍

Hi . I have Renualt koleos 2nd gen petrol giving me error check injection. Checked with few mechanics all seems perfect as per them but the warning light keeps coming back once ever week coupled with anti pollution bla bla when started . Car drives perfect . Hi I have the same problem on a megane 1.9 dci 130bhp 2012, I took off and cleaned the EGR valve with carb cleaner, I had a leaking injector seal, I therefore fitted a new injector seal which worked fine, I used Wynns Dpf cleaner and I still get this fault occasionally but it does not affect the engine performance it just means I can not use cruise control, any ideas please? Hello mate, the same with me the warning would come on and then off intermittently and then in the end on all the time, drivability wise it drove fine in the beginning but and then affected power it felt like I had the limiter on ... I hope it helps mate cheers 👍👍👍

I know the Dacia’s have the same sensor in the back of the engine try that... otherwise the best thing will be following the exhaust system to find it 👍
I’ve seen completely different looking sensors that claim to be compatible with the 2013 megane 3 1.5dci 110 but have a different OEM number...do you know if they will work? They have the 3 pins in a line rather than the trianglular configuration so look like a direct fit except they don’t fit the same mounting bracket.
I’m not sure mate but when it comes to critical sensors like pressure one I always go for genuine I know it’s annoying because is more expensive but it’s definitely better in the long run
I figure that if they will work then I can just use a cable tie to mount the sensor but trying to find the correct sensor with the correct plug is a nightmare. Any help is appreciated
Hi again Igor. after checking again after replacing glow plugs anf checking thing s through(clean air filter) i have another code come up P1453. i have trawled the web and can not find anything pacific to my megane, any ideas what it could relate to, apart from being in limp mode the car runs and starts ok, ive tried the renault forums as well

Interesting, I’m now getting an unidentified code on the OBDII reader... P1453 does anyone know what this is for a Renault? I’ve seen several possibilities ranging from a perished hose on the exhaust pressure sensor to the pressure valve on the fuel tank. Anyone have the definitive answer?
Cars Exposed not that I’ve noticed, I also have the p0380 fault for glow plugs....I was fully expecting to get a fault for the exhaust pressure sensor because I have the check injection system and check anti pollution system warnings on the dash and the car basically won’t rev past 3000 but instead I get this P1453 which seems to be a Renault specific fault.
Hi Igor, I’ve had an issue with my Megane for about a month now. My Renault Megane 1.5 dci has been in limp mode since one week. The OBD showed p0830 glow plugs circuit heater a error, so I had all the glow plugs changed. That did not fix the issue and the code still appeared. So I took it to a renaults specialist, they checked the car using a Renault Clip system. From that they found the same code however he removed it and cleared it. Now the car shows no codes or faults. He said that he looked at everything and the only thing that he thinks could be is the mass airflow meter sensor, he said everything is pointing at the MAF and advised me to change that. After the visit to Renault specialist I was driving back home, and had to use the motorway as there was no other local roads to use. Soon as I get on motorway, my car is doing 55mph 4th gear (bearing mind cars still in limp mode) the “check injection system” light appears and 10seconds “engine failure hazard” light appears. I panicked and went onto hard shoulder and didn’t risk driving it so I called out a recovery. Whilst waiting for the recovery I plugged in the OBD and the codes P0546 & P1547 appeared on the reader. The recovery came and dropped it off in a locals garage. So as we brought the car down I sat in it and started it and the engine failure hazard was not displaying, it went back to how it was before with the limp mode. So no lights are displaying on dash however the car is still in limp mode. I plugged in the OBD to check if the same codes came up however no codes showed. So I just went with the Renault specialist said and changed the mass airflow sensor but that made no difference and the car is still in limp mode. I am genuinely so confused I don’t know what to do. The car is completely fine but just in limp mode. What could be causing it, what should I do? Also something to note my car clutch pedal is pretty high and probably does need a clutch replacement. Thank you.

You robbed poor Renault out of £136 + labour! You should be ashamed of yourself! Still, they screwed you over by charging £146 for a £71 part. But seriously - great work! Renault is a great car if you are a good mechanic or know a good mechanic. Renault stealerships are notorious for their greed.

I had same problem but after diagnosis I deleted all faults now only shows these (1) data supplied to cruise control or speed limiter are not correct. (2) turbine upstream pressure sensor circuit signal outside upper limit. What should I do
My Laguna Mk3 1.5 Dci has the same issue, same fault codes (just minus stop/start) but the sensor on mine is hidden under the turbo up pipe at the back and, Renault have told me there is two sensor versions, so I guess this is what they mean. Looks like I'll have to strip down some of the pipes to figure out which one it is.

Clio RS MK4 getting same message saying to check anti pollution. I have no code reader. I have been driving it for many weeks with this message and car seems normal I think. Just wondering do u know what it is? Should I change the sensor aswell?
I have the same problem cruise control turns off and back on all the time when i drive. Also check injection system light is on. Renault said it could be anything wrong .. that they have to take the turbine and take the engine apart and cost for labor ‘only, is 800€. Also funny part is the warning lights on the dash started to show after Reno yearly oil and filter change. Any tips can it be the same thing as in the video?
I have had this problem also a few times, On my 2009megane 3 dci coupe 160000miles I cured mine by cleaning my egr and replacing the fuel filter (at the
front behind wheel arch). Not sure but I think the problem is more to do with the fuel filter.

The scrap yard would never sell me one because they sell the engine as a complete unit so I ended up soldering the pins to the wires in the end still going fine until now 👍

Thaks for the video, I have a 2013 Renault Fluence 2.0 petrol. It shows "Check Anti-Pollution system( low power when eccalarating), it has new coils and spark plugs. I'm not sure if it reqires the new sensor?

It shouldn’t really affect anything starting the car in reverse gear ... if the fault message still there I would suggest to scan the car before any conclusion 👍👍👍

I've got a 2013 Megane rs sport 265 trophy and it comes up with check injection system then goes into limp mode. when I ran the scan, it comes up with engine speed sensor signal. I've been having trouble finding this part and fixing the car for a while now so if anybody has had this problem or knows how to fix it please let me know. thank you

5 dci 110. Tom Tom. Not stop start though. I have identical problem you experienced. I will definately keep an eye on your channel. However I have found sensors on Ebay ranging from £30 to £90 but as you said in video they are the new type but are obviously aftermarket
I recently got the 'Check Injection system' and 'Check anti-pollution' warnings, but now I am getting an 'engine failure hazard/stop' warning light. I was going to change the sensor as you have but I don't know if the engine failure warning is related. Any ideas? The car runs perfectly and the warning goes off after five mins and may not return until a day or so later. Engine temp never goes above 50% either. Could that sensor be the cause? Thanks in advance for any advice
It could be sensor for sure I did have the engine hazard warning about 3 times before changing the sensor , I used turn the ignition off and on again and the warning would go away 👍

Hi . I have Renualt koleos 2nd gen petrol giving me error check injection. Checked with few mechanics all seems perfect as per them but the warning light keeps coming back once ever week coupled with anti pollution bla bla when started . Car drives perfect . Petrol car doesn't have this sensor only diesel cars have dpf.

The fault tester you use does it come with the Renault lead or is that a separate purchase as I have found the same one on amazon maxiscan ms509 model
Kerry Hosznyak no specific Renault leads needed it comes with an obd2 connector which it’s standard for many vehicles I believe since 1996 ...

Hi I have the same problem on a megane 1.9 dci 130bhp 2012, I took off and cleaned the EGR valve with carb cleaner, I had a leaking injector seal, I therefore fitted a new injector seal which worked fine, I used Wynns Dpf cleaner and I still get this fault occasionally but it does not affect the engine performance it just means I can not use cruise control, any ideas please?

Hello mate, the same with me the warning would come on and then off intermittently and then in the end on all the time, drivability wise it drove fine in the beginning but and then affected power it felt like I had the limiter on ... I hope it helps mate cheers 👍👍👍

I know the Dacia’s have the same sensor in the back of the engine try that... otherwise the best thing will be following the exhaust system to find it 👍

I’ve seen completely different looking sensors that claim to be compatible with the 2013 megane 3 1.5dci 110 but have a different OEM number...do you know if they will work? They have the 3 pins in a line rather than the trianglular configuration so look like a direct fit except they don’t fit the same mounting bracket.

I’m not sure mate but when it comes to critical sensors like pressure one I always go for genuine I know it’s annoying because is more expensive but it’s definitely better in the long run
I figure that if they will work then I can just use a cable tie to mount the sensor but trying to find the correct sensor with the correct plug is a nightmare. Any help is appreciated

I put the scanner on it and it read code p1453. Maxiscan ms509 but since found out it's a fake.
Just to add fuel economy good egr valve was gunked up so cleaned that. Does the diesel have a MAP sensor

@@CarsExposed yes engine and spanner light on. Apart from limp mode car is fine , accelerates slow due to limp mode average mpg is good.
Interesting, I’m now getting an unidentified code on the OBDII reader... P1453 does anyone know what this is for a Renault? I’ve seen several possibilities ranging from a perished hose on the exhaust pressure sensor to the pressure valve on the fuel tank. Anyone have the definitive answer?

Cars Exposed not that I’ve noticed, I also have the p0380 fault for glow plugs....I was fully expecting to get a fault for the exhaust pressure sensor because I have the check injection system and check anti pollution system warnings on the dash and the car basically won’t rev past 3000 but instead I get this P1453 which seems to be a Renault specific fault.
I’ve just gone out and revved it a bit...I can’t hear anything other than what I’d call a regular turbo noise...
Ok, try to clear the cold and see what comes back just to make sure it’s not an old code ...

Hi Igor, I’ve had an issue with my Megane for about a month now. My Renault Megane 1.5 dci has been in limp mode since one week. The OBD showed p0830 glow plugs circuit heater a error, so I had all the glow plugs changed. That did not fix the issue and the code still appeared.
So I took it to a renaults specialist, they checked the car using a Renault Clip system. From that they found the same code however he removed it and cleared it. Now the car shows no codes or faults. He said that he looked at everything and the only thing that he thinks could be is the mass airflow meter sensor, he said everything is pointing at the MAF and advised me to change that.
After the visit to Renault specialist I was driving back home, and had to use the motorway as there was no other local roads to use. Soon as I get on motorway, my car is doing 55mph 4th gear (bearing mind cars still in limp mode) the “check injection system” light appears and 10seconds “engine failure hazard” light appears. I panicked and went onto hard shoulder and didn’t risk driving it so I called out a recovery. Whilst waiting for the recovery I plugged in the OBD and the codes P0546 & P1547 appeared on the reader. The recovery came and dropped it off in a locals garage. So as we brought the car down I sat in it and started it and the engine failure hazard was not displaying, it went back to how it was before with the limp mode. So no lights are displaying on dash however the car is still in limp mode. I plugged in the OBD to check if the same codes came up however no codes showed. So I just went with the Renault specialist said and changed the mass airflow sensor but that made no difference and the car is still in limp mode. I am genuinely so confused I don’t know what to do. The car is completely fine but just in limp mode. What could be causing it, what should I do?
Also something to note my car clutch pedal is pretty high and probably does need a clutch replacement.

You robbed poor Renault out of £136 + labour! You should be ashamed of yourself! Still, they screwed you over by charging £146 for a £71 part. But seriously - great work! Renault is a great car if you are a good mechanic or know a good mechanic. Renault stealerships are notorious for their greed.

Hey thanks for posting this, I have similar issues, but I cant locate this sensor on Megane 3 1.5dci 2015 95hp, what are the odds that mine isn't visible? also when I search for it(exaust pressure sensor) I'm finding two types one type is plastic black(also labeled as DPF sensor) and other type is as yours with metal part, are those doing the same thing and just different versions or completely different sensors? I have one, these cars suck
I had same problem but after diagnosis I deleted all faults now only shows these
(1) data supplied to cruise control or speed limiter are not correct.
(2) turbine upstream pressure sensor circuit signal outside upper limit.
What should I do
My Laguna Mk3 1.5 Dci has the same issue, same fault codes (just minus stop/start) but the sensor on mine is hidden under the turbo up pipe at the back and, Renault have told me there is two sensor versions, so I guess this is what they mean.
Looks like I'll have to strip down some of the pipes to figure out which one it is.
