- The Mercedes-Benz S-Class is known for its luxurious attributes and chauffeur-driven experience but not this one! This is the Mercedes-AMG S 63 E Performance, powered by a 4-litre, twin-turbo V8 and a 13.1kWh electric motor, it delivers an impressive 791bhp and a mind-numbing 1430Nm of torque. Its incredible engine is mated to a 9-speed multi-clutch gearbox. It also gets an EV-only WLTP range of 33km, allowing you to cruise silently. Despite its sporty ambitions, the S 63 retains the quintessential qualities of the S-Class, featuring reclining seats with massage and ventilation functions, a boss mode, and much more. In this first drive review, Ed Sirish Chandran drives the 'Edition 1' which is limited to just 3 units, painted in Manufaktur Alpine Grey, 21-inch forged wheels and upholstery with red stitching, and is priced at ₹3.8 crore (ex-showroom). This is the S class which will be driven by the owner instead of the Driver.
At this price I think, I would choose an AMG GT 63S E Performance. Like the seats in that ain't that bad, they aren't bad altogether. They're amazing. With that it got 843 HP and 1420 NM torque. It can hit a top speed of 316 km/h on paper so we can expect it might touch somewhere around 320 km/h as well which is like 200 mph and that's supercar territory.

Nice s but the 2.6 tonnes and that screen stuck to the dashboard makes me not like it as much as the old s amg specially the 2020 s65 amg final edition with the v12 😍
Mercedes has big tradition of big full size performance cars. Be it CL,SL or S63s from late 90s and early 2000s, I simply love them.

Sure, this powetrain makes 800ish BHP, but the weight of the battery kinda negates it. A M5 Comp or a CS would be lot faster I think without the additional weight despite being 200 BHP short. The last gen E63s might also be faster.
I would go with M8 anytime - If i could afford it.
Why not the S63 AMG Coupe?
