The bore seems to be not evenly conical as wth the rest of the Tubas, which is more akin to the Alto horn, the german Tenor horn and the Baritone Horn (Conical bore but with an uneven taper). But I'm not really sure how similar the Travel tuba bore actually is compared with the alto and bari horms, so I would not really considered it a member, of that family until some standardization is made.
It would be really interisting to see a real Bass Horn in Eb just below the Baritone horn.

@@mihailmilev9909 I don't think I get what you are referring to exactly. Trumpets and trombones have cylindrical bore, thought I know that modern trumpets nowdays have some portion of conical bore. Cornets are conical but also have an uneven taper, they are not evenly conical.
My understanding of the taper of woodwind instruments is very limited.

This just goes to show why the French horn is arguably the greatest brass instrument invented. The French horns tubing is the same length as an F TUBA but it still has the freedom to be high and low and sound pure as diamond whilst keeping the player comfortable.

No. Euphoniums are physically larger and in a different key.

He literally explains what it is in the video. It’s an Eb tuba wrapped up more compactly than a usual tuba, analogous to a pocket trumpet. It’s lower than a euphonium which is usually in the key of Bb. You might be confused because Eb gives the impression that it’s a lot higher than a BBb tuba. But remember it’s only three half steps higher than the other common tuba key, the CC tuba. If you’ve ever seen an Eb tuba, it is absolutely a tuba-it’s big and it’s low. A 4 valve Eb tuba can technically reach almost as low as a 3 valve BBb tuba due to the extra tubing. In many countries, the Eb tuba, or even the higher F tuba is the default orchestral tuba. And all of these instruments are lower than the euphonium.
