Taking badass to the next level with the greatsword. I personally like the counters of the longsword and Lance(Seems broken)... The synergy with both hunter arts of switch axe and chargeblade seem like a hassle but so sick.
The MHGen demo has 3 differences from the MHX arts. GS gets Ground Slash (a huge upward slash) instead of Lion's Maw, LS gets Sakura Slash (2 advancing strikes that increase your spirit gauge by one if it hits) instead of Spirit Release, and Bow gets Triple Volley (3 volleys of arrows with more each shot that deals a ton of damage all together, go through the target similar to pierce, and ignore your coatings and shot type) instead of Acceleration Rain.

The hammer art is more for just simply enhancing your hammer play style and is probably not very noob friendly. It's pretty much a substitute for investing in the negative skill taunt
Can't wait to see what other skills are in there. Some of these really change up how a weapon can be played, its so awesome. Though I hope the other styles can let you pick and swap what your active skill will be if you're not playing striker.

Man, that hammer taunt is going to make my life so much easier. No running away from traps, no need for friends to run away to heal, and it just helps with keeping the monster off of gunners. Man, I really hope it gets ported over. Btw, what was your favorite weapon and/or style of it? I know I love the aerial lance, as it (I think) can still do the side dodges w/ evasion as well as do a jump towards a monster (or block in the air), and bushido hammer, as taunt will be so useful.

But, since aerial style can get tons of mounting points, they naturally had to increase the gauge (Else it becomes even more broken).

You do have a bit of a dust explosion that's blocking the view, and it looks like the one art they showed in the very first trailer.

You didn't get all the arts sir.. There are 3 exclusive hunting arts per weapon. One big one missed because of that oversight was the dual blades inner demon.. A lot like the lion one but for dual blades instead... Yeah

This confused me too because he says at the beginning of the video that Striker gives you access to two weapon-specific arts and one general art. Maybe that was just the demo.
Hammer seems to be the most underwhelming one of them all. A taunt? I dunno whether or not Hammer users find this essential for a hunting art but I was actually hoping one of its skills would give the weapon the ability to be a temporary cutting weapon such as some sort of vibration skill that can cut tails or use the bow's blade wire and have you throw the hammer Thor style and swing it around, giving impact/cutting aoe depending on the radius :(
The issue most people have with that though is that it's a hammer. It's made for breaking certain parts of the monster or stunning them. And the taunt like he said is very useful if you need to trap the monster or take the attention away from another teammate
Hunter Hoke I understand. But it's just that like the hunting horn, I don't see any hammer users online or over spot pass, if at all. And I believe that it's the flexibility. Most people would go for a cutting weapon because tails are also essential when it comes to getting the parts you need and seeing that CB can practically do both cutting and impact, most people would just go for that if they're after impact damage.
This game will see me change weapons on a regular basis. Feeling like the Manowar warrior mascot today? Greatsword it is (dem red eyes doe)! Turning into a Samurai with awesomely cheesy attack names? Longsword it is! Going full Michael Bay on some monsters? Gunlance and Charge Blade! I'm already practising all of them on MH4U so I can jump right into the action once we get this game. Which I'm sure of. Capcom... pretty please? Also, dat Raizex lance.
Charge blade's art seems a little bit too boring. But hey, 10 phials is a neat little thing, especially if you the combo correct. Time to get this for the west.

No. Two fir each weapon. The Striker style however allows you to equip 3 hunting arts. So you could have the two weapon hunting arts along with the perfect evade.
The Troubleshooter I know that now. But during that time I wasn't sure because in one of his videos he only showed two arts for each weapon, thus I went off that video.

How do you unlock Hunter Arts?
I'll probably be using long sword and striker style. I really love the arts on the long sword.

Bushido lets you do it any time, without needing to charge, but you lose the other arts.

The taunt art is actually very helpful considering the hammer need to be near its head,and since you agroed it,you will get mor KO'S
