My grandma’s sister, Victoria, died as a teenager- I believe from TB. She was one of the older siblings and was a “favorite” of my great grandpa. He had given her a special locket, which she was buried with.
For several nights, after Victoria was buried, my great grandma would wake up to my great grandpa crying, at the end of the bed, saying “please don’t go Victoria”. My great grandma just chalked it up to him dreaming and grieving so badly for his daughter. However, one night, when she tried to tell him he was just dreaming- he was adamant that Victoria had been there. He said “She was here, and she gave me this!” And in his hands was the locket that he’d given her and she had been buried with…
    💯 True story

My grandmother was born in 1903 and lived in the same small rural community I grew up in 30 miles northwest of Birmingham, Alabama. My grandmother always told us a story about a picture they had hanging in their house called "Rock of Ages". The painting was of three women clinging to a rock during a storm. The picture would sometimes be found on the floor - they would find it leaning against the wall. Without fail, someone in the family would die within 3 days of the painting sliding down the wall. She said when her mother died, no one in the family wanted that picture!

I am the youngest of five (oldest Big Brother, then three sisters, then me) and a girl cousin that lived with us that shared Big Sis' bedroom in our big farmhouse, the two middle sisters sharing their own bedroom, the girls' rooms down the hall from the boys, my room closest to the stairs.
A few weeks after our Dad died (in our kitchen in his favorite maple chair surrounded by us all) when I was four, I overheard the girls telling my Mom that Big Brother had begun walking in his sleep. I thought nothing of it 'til one moonlit night when I awoke to a figure standing silently by my open bedroom door. Sure that it was Big Brother, I called his name once, twice, then a third time to no response. As the figure turned towards the top of the stairs, I jumped from my bed fearful that Big Brother would fall during his sleep walking, and as I came around the corner I could see his head through the railings as he continued down the stairs. But then I realized the downstairs door wasn't opening as could always be told by the squeak of the hinges and the lightening of the dark stairwell. Looking over the railing as my eyes became used to the darkness, I could see the figure was gone. Unsure what to do, I went to Big Brother's room and saw he was fast asleep. I then ran back to my bedroom, jumped into bed, and fell back to sleep watching my bedroom doorway.
I awoke the next morning wondering what could have happened, when it suddenly dawned on me how much the figure looked like my Dad...

My husband's work place bought a small house which was close to the property and the house had a reputation of being haunted. Many didn't believe it, but many had experiences in the house. Our granddaughter had had times where she saw things or heard things. My husband decided to bring her to the house to see if she heard anything..he, our daughter and granddaughter went to this house. He had permission from his boss, but the only way they could get in was to crawl through a big porch window. It was a two story house with the steps going up from the livingroom. Our granddaughter said she heard voices on the steps ...my husband heard them, too. Our daughter didn't hear anything...when they got to top of the stairs they looked in the bedrooms. Our granddaughter said she heard a baby crying in one corner of the bedroom...they left the house and as they were driving away our granddaughter got a strange look on her face. She said didn't they see the young man standing in front of the house? She said he waved to her. Our two daughters went to the newspaper office the next day after finding out the address of the house...it ended up that years before a young couple lived in that house and a young neighbor guy broke in and murdered them...the husband died at the bottom of the steps and the wife died on the steps...they had a baby who was found alive and crying in a crib in that same bedroom corner. The young man who murdered the couple matched the description our granddaughter saw....he had killed himself after he did the awful murders...we were shocked and so were the workers at the business....I believe in God and love the Lord but we cannot explain it...she has had other experiences...now that she's older and married with three children she doesn't have very many such things happen.

My daughter and I have twice had the same experience of an uneasy feeling and I'm thankful we heeded the warning because it eventually did come to light that at one of the places(a rural gas station) there were evil things going on.

  • @elizabethhamilton8388
    @elizabethhamilton8388 ปีที่แล้ว +5

Good stories y’all. I don’t believe in ghosts but I absolutely believe in evil and I do know that, as Christians, God gives us a feeling when we are around evil. If you ever get that feeling, do what Corie, her mama and granny did….RUN and keep repeating, “ In the name of Jesus, evil be gone.” Katie, remember that the devil can make evil look safe. What you felt at first scared you enough to make you look behind you, to make sure no one was following you and that was probably the evil one messing with you and the warm comforting feeling was God protecting you because you are His child. God don’t put up with the evil one messing with His children. Y’all have a wonderful weekend. Hugs from the southeast coast of Florida

You’re not crazy, Austin. I saw a group of UFOs in about 1965 or 1966 when I lived in Southern Illinois. I was driving home from my job in a rural area at about 1:30 am. Very spooky!

I live in Southern Illinois and have seen some weird things in the sky myself. One night I was out picking up nightcrawlers after a rain and saw what looked like 3 orange 55 gallon drums in the shape of a triangle. It was going over very slow maybe 200 foot in the air and was completly silent. I watched it until it went out of sight. No idea what it was. One night up on Carlyle lake me, my brother, and my dad all saw a long string of bright white balls of light come from the north and slowly turn and go 1 by 1 out over the lake and dissaper. They too were silent. Crazy!

And I saw the amazing granddaddy of 'em in 1997 with my daughter at night. It was so massive it covered half of Phoenix. Type 'Arizona Phoenix Lights UFO' for the story. The 21 year celebration explains it pretty well. I tried 2 times putting my story of seeing it here, but both times it disappears, much like the ufo did that night after staying suspended over a mountain range and half the city.

My Grampy had a similar story to Austin’s! It happened in the late 60’s/70’s in rural Ohio. He and a buddy who lived nearby carpooled together to work. Grampy was waiting for his friend at the end of the driveway early one morning while it was still dark when all of the sudden he saw a flying saucer-like thing with a bunch of lights float up above the trees and just hovered there a few minutes and then was gone just as quickly as it had appeared. When his friend arrived he told my Grampy “You’ll never believe what I just saw” and corroborated everything my Grampy saw. 😂Grampy passed away 7 years ago but since then a local newspaper did an article about hundreds of similar sightings around the same time/area as his incident. 😳🛸

This might not sound that spooky, but I'm deacon at a small church, and I stay after the service to straighten up the sanctuary. We have a metal roof, and it makes all kinds of noise. When it's windy, it rattles, and when it's hot, it makes little irregular popping noises. When you're alone, your imagination runs wild. I know what the noise is, and I know God watches over me, but it's still creepy. Thanks, and God bless!

@@Diligent-dp7gi I think you misunderstood me. It's not an "incident," it happens all the time. The roof makes noises due to the wind and sun acting on it. It sounds like someone is in or on the building. Of course I know it's just the wind blowing the eaves and the sun warping the metal roof. It still sounds creepy. That's all I meant. I was not implying that the cause of the noise is ghosts or whatever.

Neighbor excavating for a pool found human bones, he had to call the police, but it was someone they didn't move when they relocated the graves 100 years before. I'm not sure why he dug so much, but he found headstones, large pieces at least. We didn't have problems there, though.

Always pay attention to those little hunches or feelings. We studied a little about some of that in a college. There is such a thing as subliminal messaging. It's been used in advertising to direct people toward certain products to buy more drinks at a movie theater. Sometimes backpacking through the music piped through stored

Music. The idea is that your subconscious may pick up on things that your conscious mind doesn't. When you look at a brick wall your conscious mind only sees a brick wall. But your subconscious may see every brick in that wall. Under hypnosis people are often able to recall details they can't remember when they're awake.

I was working in the area close to Asheboro NC that was part of the Uwharrie National Forest. I had head there was a old wooden covered bridge in the area ( Pisga Covered Bridge) so I decided I wanted to ride by there to see it. I drove over there and found the bridge , I was disappointed to see how much graffiti was painted all over it ( most of it was satanic type symbols etc) . I was there all by myself just looking around when as plan as day I heard a wind chime. It was a hot summer day and nary a breeze was stirring. I froze for a second and took stock of what I had just heard. I quickly decided I had seen enough of the old wooden bridge , I hopped in my car and got out of there as quick as I could . To this day I have no explanation of what I heard that day.

My husband's grandmother could tell the best haint tales as she called them. Once she told us a tale she said was told to her by her own grandmother that took place right before the war between the states so I'm guessing 1860 or so. She said her great grandmother and grandfather worked in a logging camp deep in the foothills of South Carolina. It was her job to cook for the camp in a covered lean to or shed that was open on three sides . One day she had the evening meal of journey cakes and soup beans almost ready when she had to go carry a bucket of water from the spring. On the way back she heard an awful commotion at the shed that made her hair stand on end. It sounded awful and smelled worse. She sneaked around the shed and saw an awful sight. There stood a man covered in hair from head to foot all hunched down under the shed that she reckoned must be at least 8 or 9 foot tall... the shed was about 6 and it couldn't stand up under it.. it was holding the empty bean pot that had been boiling hot in its hand and had already eat the bread from the frying pan too. Well she said granny got so mad at seeing she would have to do her work twice that she grabbed a broom and went to whooping the daylights outta that hairy devil which took off like a shot never to bother them again.
This was told to us in the early 70s before Bigfoot was a thing. Makes you think don't it?

Energy does not die when you pass away it just gets transformed. That goes for people as well as animals. One of the strangest things that happened to me was when I was researching Jack the Ripper a few years back. I was in my living room with my computer. I had been living just within the boundaries of a small town when I heard what sounded almost like a mountain lion, which I’ve heard a couple times before while hiking and living in the mountains as a child. It just didn’t make sense for one to come into town and it didn’t sound quite as cat-like. No one else heard it. I have also seen what I think was a spaceship although it didn’t look like what you’d imagine. It looked like giant scaffolding in the sky with red lights running up the side. It was around 9:00pm in the summer and I was reclining outside with my dog and we both watched it for a good 10 seconds. willow started barking towards it. I ran inside with my hair standing up and told my mom to come look at it but when I came back out it was gone.

Many years ago , when my 58 year old son was a baby, we were in Iron Mountain , Michigan for a weekend outing. We were going to stay in a ridiculously dilapidated old trailer with my husband’s aunt and uncle. They called it “ rustic” . When dark came , the mice came in and ran around on the cabinets and along any flat surface. I was appalled. I am not going to sleep where mice could possibly climb on my baby!! So, the baby and I slept in the car, while the other three adults slept peacefully inside. Well, the next evening we took a ride to enjoy the amazing northern Michigan night skies. Glorious ; a million stars with no ambient light to diminish their brightness. As we drove along , an orange light suddenly filled the inside of the car. It was brighter than any light we had ever seen. As we turned to look out the back window , we saw an enormous, orange, glowing ball that appeared to be following us. It rapidly closed in on our vehicle and we all, men too, screamed in terror because we thought we were going to die right then and there. As suddenly as it had almost touched our vehicle, it changed direction and flew straight up into the night sky and disappeared. It was documented as a UFO by an airplane that was in the area at the same time we were on the dark country road. Stories of these sightings occurring in northern Michigan are widespread. No one would be able to convince us that what we saw was of this earth.

I worked with a girl (in Tennessee) that swore she heard a mountain lion in her backyard, and everyone made fun of her. She even called TWRA and they told her there weren’t mountain lions here. A couple of years later, I saw an article that said there had been mountain lion sightings and they thought they were creepin into East Tennessee. I heard a panther at our camp many years ago.I slept downstairs and my dad was upstairs.I was about ten or so,I tore up the steps so fast in the pitch dark. My dad was laughing at me until I jumped in the bed with him.I told me what it was so I was ok with that but I still slept with him that night.

Panthers are all over the mountains and foothills on the Tennessee side. My dogs have treed more than one. When they do, your in for a long night, if you can'tcatch your dogs. They'll wait in the tree with the dogs baying and when your lights get close, theyll jump out over the dogs a run long way before they go up another tree. They'll do that till daylight befor they get tired or mad. Then, they're liabke to jump out on the dogs and whoever else is there and it's on. Acouple of times when I've been in the woods late and the dogs hadn't struck yet and things were quite, I've heard the most awful scream. It even freaks the dogs out at first. One of those times a panther happened to already be up in a tree right by where we had parked after turning the dogs out. We had been standing out around the truck for 15 or 20 minutes swapping lies and laughing and never new it was up there. Until it screamed. If you've ever heard one up close, you can imagine our first reaction. Even though we knew what it was, the thought of it being right over us all that time was more than worrisome. The only thing we could figure is that it was ready to come down but wouldn't because we were there with lights and talking and laughing and it finally got frustrated or mad and let out a scream. It jumped and ran off in the opposite direction. We went and caught the dogs and called it a night before they caught its scent. Its literally a blood-curdling sound. Even if you know what it is. Lol.

What great stories & a great video idea. Was Austin talking about Buford, GA? My two boys are 33 & 34 and went to Grayson HS. They may be a little older than him. We’re in Lawrenceville now, not far from Buford. When I was nine, we were camping at a lake In Gainesville, GA & as I was laying in the tent looking out around sunset, I saw what I thought was a huge ape walking up the hill by the lake. He was quite a distance away, but I saw it turn around & look down towards our camping area. I didn’t know about big foot at that age, but now I’m pretty sure that’s what I saw. Lol, that’s my spooky story. Happy Halloween!

I liked Katie's story of positive vibes! There are without a doubt big cats up there, my Granny saw a black cougar one day in the early 80's. Your uncle probably did run into ERR, my cousin went to school with him in Murphy, described him as a "quiet fella". Your Mom's story gave me the shivers! Did Austin miss any time after the UFO encounter?

I had not been to the cemetery where my grandparents and uncle were buried in quite a few years. My husband and I were in the area one day and decided to visit their grave. When we drove in the entrance I noticed a mockingbird flitting around the power lines just inside the gate. I also noticed that a lot more people had "moved in" to the cemetery since my last visit and I had a lot of trouble finding the family plot. We got out of the car and walked and walked and still couldn't find it. I was about to give up when I ran my eyes over a large, maybe half-acre, section of the cemetery and as I did so, a mockingbird flew down and perched on a headstone in the middle of the section. I began walking to the headstone the bird landed on and, sure enough, that was my grandparents' headstone.

I heard a panther at our camp when I was about eleven. It was my dad and me there.I was down stairs almost asleep when I heard a woman start screaming. Camp was in the mountains of Va.and it was as black as a crayon.I ran through the kitchen and up the stairs in total darkness without missing a step.I didn’t stop until I jumped in bed with my dad.He was laughing at me and proceeded to say it was a panther in heat and she was calling for a mate.I have never heard anything that scared me so bad in my life.I am 76 years and don’t want to hear it again.

I was babysitting my little cousins out in Smiths Creek, Michigan around 1977 when the oldest one, who was no more than 7, asked if he could watch for the first star of the night so he could say that poem and make a wish. It was right after supper, so maybe about 6:30PM, and besides, it was Daylight Savings Time, so the nights didn't get dark until about 9PM. So I told my little cousin it was going to be a long time before he'd be able to see any stars. But he insisted he wanted to watch out the living room window no matter how long, because he didn't want to miss it. He had to ask permission because my aunt and uncle had nice, thick brocade drapes kept closed to keep out the heat of the sun, and they didn't want the kids messing with them. I gave permission for him to stand at the end of the window because he was skinny enough to be able to stand between the window and the drape, as long as he didn't bounce around or anything. It wasn't very long later that he hollered that he saw a star. I said it was too early, but he got more excited and exclaimed, "I *did* see a star! It was red and it went like that," making zig zag motions with his finger in the air. I told him stars aren't red, and he said, " _This_ one is! " So I opened the door to look outside, and didn't see anything except the red light atop the ham radio antenna outside the farm house a little piece across the road. But my cousin said no, that wasn't it, because what he saw was moving in a zig zag and it was over the crop field directly across from his house. He pointed to the bare field, and yelled, "There it is again! And it's got a bigger one with it!" Sure enough, there was a little red light zig zagging around, and the classic white-light cigar-shaped "flying saucer" just floating there. Then two more red lights shot down from under it, while three more red lights shot out from the top, all going in different directors and then out of sight. I picked up the 2 year old and pulled the 4 year old close to me. I figured the 7 year old could run on his own faster than I could carry him. Then that white UFO started on the move towards the farm house. In a little bit it turned imperceptibly so that it was going towards the back of my cousins' house, so I closed the front door and ran to the kitchen so I could watch it out that huge kitchen window over the big kitchen table. The phone was on the wall next to the table, between the table and the sink, so I phoned my brother, because I thought he'd be the one who would want to know about it. Seriously, he was a genius who read sci-fi all the time, and after he finished his time in the Marines he served an internship with NASA, designing aircraft displays for pilots. He ended up going into computer stuff, and invented things that were used in just about every device available before his death in 2016. But in 1977 we were both still in high school and he was just reading sci-fi all the time. We stayed on the phone until that thing finally went out of sight. It looked like it was going to make a complete circuit back to the field our front across the road, but before it made that turn it suddenly started going backwards. It was like nothing I'd seen before or since. It didn't slow down or make an obvious turn, it just went backwards. Then it disappeared from my sight because of some huge oak trees up the road. That was the same time period when lots of people in Michigan were reporting such sightings, and the officials announced that it was just swamp gas. That was some pretty hefty gas, I'm telling you! But Smiths Creek isn't far from Selfridge Air Force Base. It's just 40 minutes by car and much less by air, even a tiny single engine plane. I don't know what it was, hence the "U" for _unidentified_ , but I lean towards the theory that it was a US government project. I believe what an exorcist said about the theory of aliens from another planet. He says if the devil wants to appear as an angel of light or as an alien from another planet, he can do it, and if he can use it to lure souls to hell, he will certainly do it. So I don't believe that what I saw is from another planet. It was either a US government project or it was demonic. I pray the Blood of Jesus over myself, my family, and all our property.

Granny's story was a good one. Your uncle's had me holding my breath. enjoyed all of them. but the one I can relate to is Austins. My dad saw a ufo in the fifties. He said he was going to work coming off a side street and he saw a cigar shaped object. There was one or two windows they were dark and the object was glowing. Just like Austin he didn't tell anyone about it for several years.
