I have same model and same fan noise, I changed dosing pump to an ultra quite pump and suspended it from 6mm bungee cord, and i cannot here pump from in my wood built house now its walls are wood 18mm ilish + vaper barrier stuff , and 2 layers of plasterboard with a small caverty totaling only 4" thick walls so little sound proofing from heater mounted outside in steel waterproof + fireproof insulated cabnet with two 76mm holes into house as flow and return ducting.zero fumes, once the heater has gone though start up procedure and slowed itself down it is almost silent in my living room, if i stand by ducting outlet, i hear a very gentle whirring noise of flowing air, but no fan or pump noise . Im very happy with the heater apart from the app wont work on my phone but it will on a tablet, others have said same too will some phones.. I've got an hcalory bluetooth all in one heater and its bluetooth app works great on my phone! the negative with these types of heaters there is no way to tune them up or lower pump spead to save fuel! I burn Kerosene at £1.5 a ltr. and bulk 85p. ltr in all my heaters much cheaper than derv red or road type. older heaters tend to have a password 1688 that lets me change pump lowest speed from 1.6hzs to 1.1hzs saving fuel , and plus saving me having to turn a heater off if it get to hot in a room. just incase you think it will coke up the heater running so low, it will not as kerosene burns much cleaner than derv does. keep warm!
You don't really need to get another fuel pump. If you mount your pump be suspending it so it doesn't touch the side of the housing and wrap it with insulation, you won't hear it with the unit running. And don't use that cheap green fuel line. That stuff is for an air pump in your aquarium is all and not good for a diesel heater. Get some better line.
