I’m so excited for a true mini diesel engine! Will have to probably buy that one! Probably take the rest of me life to pay it off tho! But be worth it!
My past vid was here th-cam.com/video/YpMvZ7K-T9M/w-d-xo.htmlsi=X6Jmtf6h7HtX5Oxh the fuel was commercial fuel...very old too. And google "diesel fuel model engines recipe"
Comparing the diesel version with the green gas 4 stroke, the diesel 's picture shows it's now changed to a brass horizontal camshaft rod, a much, much more substantial cast conrod and added a brass cylinder oiler. These additions and the red look great. Hope the one that arrives looks like this
Hey Darren, sorry for the late reply, flu season and the whole family got it. Co-incidentally I applied for my refund too about the same time as you, about a week ago, in came in yesterday. I heard nothing from my aliexpress supplier although to begin with he was good. I emailed #enginediy because I know they are waiting too. Apparently the builder decided he should go through patent lawyers because he wanted to patent a feature or protect himself likewise from claims. In China, that could take another 6 months (or until his money runs out). Looks like he is selling the red painted diesel parts he prepared in a mk2 gasoline engines with the new stronger conrod, better cylinder water jacket flow etc he made for the diesel. So yeah, I'll still buy one if they ever come out but for now I thought I should pull my money back in a refund in case my aliexpress supplier dies or something
@@ThomasPCGuruENGINES I didn’t know about the pending patent. I was getting updated along the way but 90 days was up so better to have the money back in my account. When I triggered the refund process there was a few emails back and forward. I said if you can show me proof of progress I’d be happy to cancel the refund and just wait. They sent through a few pictures of what you describe and I wasn’t convinced they were diesels so I got my money back. We will have to wait and see what they come up with now.
That's exactly what I got the "nearly ready" and the photos of the petrol red engines. We're in the same boat. I've been looking at an Amazon 200cc diesel engine for shits and giggles (half the price) but it's hardly the same thing
@@ThomasPCGuruENGINES well it’s back on again. I canceled the order, got my money back, they contacted me to say they now have the engine in their hands so I reordered. I have a tracking number this time and it has cleared customs so I’ll wait and see what arrives. It was even about 150 cheaper second time round.
And it arrived today. I can see I need to attend to a few things but she’s all there. I can see it’s been running but there is a couple of things I need to attend to first before I try and run it.
Yeah same. I'm no diesel engineer and I may be asking for help, but yeah...also I kind of think my wife might NOT be happy if I run this one in the kitchen!!
@ThomasPCGuruENGINES from the source 😎 I have seen it on pre sale on aliecpress shops but it's gonna be ready then. I love the smokey business of it and I'm just hoping the injector had good pressure and doesn't give up early
Yeah mine is coming from Aliexpress but shipped a few days ago. Now we have to wait for it to get to little old New Zealand. Could be 10 days or 3 weeks
Currently cheapest is Name: Shop1103887795-0522 Store Store no.: 1103887795 on aliexpress. Make sure to specify "color" red. Green is the petrol version
As you know, the Chinese are very good at copying. I don’t think they will worry about patients, they copy each other. I just want the injector and pump. It would be good if they sold those parts separately.
@@ThomasPCGuruENGINES I’ve just ordered one, can’t wait to see what I’ve actually got to play with. I hope it runs to true diesel. There’s not many models around that will run on diesel. I have a model 20cc Lister here that uses ether, even that has attracted a lot of attention.
Yeah I thought of that, and I take your point. I did it because it confuses TH-cam copyright and if I got pinged for copyright I'd have to mute all the sound on those clips...so rightly or wrongly, I thought is was the lesser of two weevils. Sorry man, the next one will be more engine noise I promise. I feel ya
Ha, I see what you did there...because it's Chinese, I mean, the one guy that made it is Chinese...and you don't need to engage Mr Brain anymore than that massive, racist oversimplification...How about you remove everything from your house, wardrobe and car, every device and component that was made in China, and see if anything still works. Your life also has parts , science and design ideas from England, Canada, USA, Europe, Mexico, India etc...but whatever you want to think is fine I guess. Thanks for your massive insight, we all stand educated
@@ThomasPCGuruENGINES First, let’s focus on the engines and take racism away from it and also specifically, not other high quality products made in China, like iPhones and etc.. China manufactures goods across a wide spectrum, from luxury items to low cost products. When a major company is involved, strict quality assurance measures ensure the product meets high standards. However, in the case of these engines, the manufacturers often replicate someone else’s designs and produce them using subpar materials and components. As an engineer, I purchased one of these engines myself, and upon inspection, I found it used extremely low quality steel and parts. While the price is cheap and the engine functions, the overall quality is poor. Why? Because no major company is backing these engines with rigorous standards. That’s the reality, my friend. so, China is known for producing low quality products when strict quality assurance standards are not enforced .No need to get offended.
To clarify, I do have the red diesel version of the Chinese "hot bulb engine" on the way :) it will be a learning experience...

Judging by your TH-cam handle, not surprising. Try to get someone in your life to buy it for you?
Stirlingkit and EngineDIY will be the place of choice to get this engine
can you do a video on the fist engine at the start of the video and what fuel you use.

I will. And I will refer sales to you guys :)

Would love to order the vertical German diesel
Yeah so would I. I'm sure the builder will do his best to get it produced but he's just guessing at pricing and anything could happen.
Lot of interest in a desktop model diesel engine at my local model engineer's club
Let 'em know, they might be interested. Those model engineers make some amazing stuff but I think tiny diesels are still rare.
Wooooo
Indeed it is woo with suspense
