    I was a welder/fabricator for many years before becoming a toolmaker then mechanical engineer where I worked in automotive manufacturing engineering. I designed the machines and processes that make engine and transmission parts. This guy is on a whole other level the way he makes everything by hand with the most basic tools. He's an artist.

    The apparent ease with which he made the OHC and valve rockers was engineering poetry in motion. I was just a little bit dubious about the looseness of the valve stems, and the apparent compression ratio , about 100:1 ?! - but hey what a job. You're a genius , my friend.

    • @balkrushnakadam7082
      @balkrushnakadam7082 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, i thought same thing, he left vary less space above top dead centre of piston to compress air, which makes difficult for piston to compress air at that large ratio, resulting leakage of air through valves.

      perhaps because the compressor isn't designed for heat and will probably be internally melted within hours. Not to mention that normal compressor usage keeps the cylinders lubricated. How's he oiling it? Also there's no way to control the air/fuel mixture, which is why it's smoking so bad. It's flooding. Or maybe the jank of that spark plug wire? He's got an open can of gas next to that thing. Or maybe that it requires a battery to stay running? He could have put a condensor on it, making that unnecessary. It's a good idea in theory but it was already shaking apart by the end of the video.

However, with a few modifications (which, based on what I have seen from this video I have no doubt he can do), this engine could power quite a few things. Saying this engine is useless is like saying a chainsaw engine is useless because it can’t win a Lemans race. Not everything has to be perfect or the best. Istg some of y’all really just dumb. Had an Engineer friend when i was at high school. Every friday we would gather around with friends and he would come up with some crazy new shit he invented. Sitting in an ordinary park we would have led projectors that change brightness depending on the bass from his hand made portable speakers. An electrical portable bbq that rotates meat , while playing a neon chess board. God know what he's embarks nowdays

      Kinda makes you want to hunt down an old fridge, eh? It's amazing the skills that still exist in "3rd world" countries. Our 4WD club used to world with a metal shop in Pakistan that basically made NLA parts by hand for the club when we got an order together. Made by and, and cheap enough to ship around the world to US customers. That was before 9-11...

    His engineering skills are extraordinary! Im an engineer myself for 19 years now and this is the first time in my life that I have used the word extraordinary so to describe an engineer. Before I watched this vid. it was like that word didn't exist to me!
